Don't miss this hidden gem! The BEST! Right downtown, beside the Barfield. We stayed there and he generously delivered our breakfast!! We had the custard dipped French toast and the best crispy bacon, made to my liking. And the tot bowl with sausage gravy! He also brought us beignets and fresh berry compote! Wow!!!! Chef Ron is a master in the kitchen. AMAZING!

Today, my travels took me Amarillo, TX. At first, you may think...what's in Amarillo?! A ton! Cute, small, downtown area is filled with shops and food of all sorts. Sunday's kitchen was recommended to me...and I love Cajun food! So here I am. The dining room is simple but clean. The menu has a decent variety of jerk chicken, jambal5, gumbo, catfish, etc. I tried the Jambalaya. It is really tasty! It's not spicy and has a great flavor. The meat isn't overcooked at all, which I have to be an issue in these types of restaurants. The rice is sticky and tasty as well.i must say, I like the chicken over the sausage in the Jambalaya, which is rare for me. The seasoning pops with flavor! Overall, at about $15 for food and drink, Sundays kitchen is worth a stop! Very good food, friendly staff, and good pricing, considering 2023's inflation. Check em out!

It was really good! I got the BYO sausage Tortellini and my fiancé got the Shrimp and grits. I loved the Cajun cream in the pasta, it was spicy but not overpowering. I wish I'd gotten the vegetables instead of sausage because it just felt like it was missing a little something. I think vegetables would have added something extra. But overall it was still delicious. I liked the lemon on the side, that was a good choice. We got take out and my fiancé picked it up so I can't speak on the ambience or service but they were nice when we spoke on the phone!

If you're in the downtown Amarillo area, you've got to check this place out! I tried the chicken sausage and shrimp gumbo and the bread pudding for dessert. I was impressed by how many shrimp were in that gumbo, and not no baby shrimp either!! Bread pudding was so moist and flavorful. This place is the real deal for a home cooked meal. Plus the owner and his staff were so kind. Check em out, support local!

Amazing people and incredible food! This sweet place is just home with a twist of Chef Ron's delivery of incredible spices and creole

Chicken and Sausage Gumbo, comes with rice on the side.

The food at Sunday's Kitchen is second to none. From the absolutely amazing gumbo to the super tasty Crawfish grilled cheese, you just can't miss here. The staff is friendly and helpful while you are ordering and the place is always spotless! Make Sunday's Kitchen a stop for you and your family!

Stopped in while on the road headed west. Definitely could've fried our sausage and definitely the chicken being that it seems to be from the freezer. More importantly the shrimp could've been cooked much long in my Rasta pasta and my husbands gumbo. We got there at 1pm, u guys close at 2. Definitely had time to give us some quality.

Awesome. Had the shrimp and grits for brunch with island water. Husband had West Texas Breakfast. Delicious food, great service. Relaxing atmosphere.

This is probably one of the best meals I have had in a very long time. The pasta was seasoned so just perfectly with the sausage and shrimp intertwined. It was an amazing dish and they didn't live you just 3 or 4 shrimp, they give you a nice portion of both sausage and shrimp. The service was spot on as well. I loved the banana pudding as well, but the main course was just fantastic. I will most certainly be coming back to try other items on the menu!

This little "hole in the wall" cafe is small but well worth the search. There aren't very many tables so go early or get your order to go. The food is fantastic!!! Chef Ron makes tasty Cajun Creole dishes, poor boy sandwiches, hamburgers, catfish platters, beans & rice, pasta and gater bites... but try the amazing Pit Master Mac & Cheese and Atchafalaya Alfredo pasta!!!

Migas- scrambled eggs, bacon and potatoes. (Substitute beans) tortillas and salsa. Chefs kiss

Not knowing what to pick, I did a quick search for pizza restaurants and stumbled upon Nomad Napoletana. Luckily, it was just a short four-block walk from the office. Having never been here before, I was not sure what to expect. The interior was clean and modern, and I was quick to be greeted by the friendly staff. I picked the Roni con Queso lunch special with a Caesar salad on the side. For only $10, I got a freshly baked slice of pizza, a fairly large salad, and a drink. The food was delicious. Since I was on my lunch break, I wasn't able to try one of their numerous wines or beers on display. But next time, I'll be sure to see what they have on offer. Needless to say, I really enjoyed this restaurant and definitely plan to come back.

I went with the Diablo slice, and the sauce was absolutely delicious with just the right amount of heat. Spicy enough to clear your sinuses without overpowering the flavor. The side salad was fresh and well put together (not an afterthought), and a large Coke rounded it out perfectly. Great flavors, great value, and definitely a place I'll be back to. Highly recommend for a quick but satisfying lunch.

While we were able to eat quickly, the food was meh and the outdoor eating area smelled like sh*t so we relocated inside. I ordered biscuits and gravy with jalapeño bacon. I LOVED the jalapeño bacon. But neither the biscuits nor the gravy tasted good. The biscuits were more like crackers--hard rather than fluffy. And biscuits (plural) is a bit misleading because it's one biscuit sliced in half and soaked in gravy. Chick-Fil-A makes tastier biscuits. But we visited this place on a Sunday and, unfortunately, Chick-Fil-A was closed. It comes with eggs, but I didn't eat the eggs because they looked like the powdered variety instead of real, whole eggs. My husband wanted a croissant but was told it would take 30 minutes to bake. Maybe we're impatient, but that seemed unreasonable for a "bakery" that had been open for a few hours at that point. So he settled for the smothered burrito. He didn't like that concotion either. The passionfruit teas we ordered were small but good, but not good enough for a return visit. $35 wasted.

ORIGINAL POST: Had my food DoorDashed since I'm on a work trip and working at an office. The food arrived hot and fresh. Smelled absolutely amazing. I ordered a Naan-Wich Aka Shawarma, hot, with steak ($3.00 up charge). The hot was definitely about right for hot. Probably compared to a good hot wing. I'm sure spicy and extra spicy are hot-hot! Flavor overall was great. The naan was perfectly cooked. Now as for the steak, the quality was disappointing. The first bite I had a very hard piece that was inedible. You know, it happens. A few bites later another inedible piece, but wasn't as hard this time at least. Not a big deal, a couple pieces does happen, but turned out to be 3-4 pieces were inedible and I had to spit them out. Most of the edible pieces were a little chewy and possibly overcooked. Other than the steak, overall was pretty good. I would definitely be willing to give them another try... just not with steak. lol.
