Leaving 5 stars because this isn't about the employees at this location. I bought sunglasses here once and the man that helped me was amazing. This is about your customer service line. If there was an option to rate that and give stars I would give zero. I needed the corporate number and the man on the line kept saying "we don't have this we don't have that" and I said oh okay can you ask a supervisor or manager if there's another phone number I can call? He proceeded to place me on hold after a long pause without telling me then left me on hold while pressing buttons on the line. When he came back he kept mumbling "I'm going to connect you now" except he kept mumbling so much I kept asking I'm sorry what? And it was 100% mumbling because he clearly said "we don't have that" before. I then said oh you're going to connect me? Okay thank you and he hung up on me. I think that's the craziest customer service experience on the phone I've ever had. read more

Chubby short lady gave me my worst experience ever at Sunglass hut. Paid $110 for new lens on my Ray bans. Plus I asked for frame to be adjusted , they said okay. Customer service is everything in business. You can purchase anything online now but when people come to shop, there's a reason. You need help, assistance you want to see how it looks on you and to avoid having to return the item etc. Well, there's bad customer service when a sales person wont look at you, would answer your questions with an attitude and just act VERY arrogant. Lizeth is this salesperson. From the minute we walked in until the time we left, she was rude, annoyed and just simply unhappy with her job. I hope people treat her this way too so she can experience what she does to people. On the other hand, went a different time to purchase something else, Giselle is helpful and friendly. Just very sweet and charming. She was definitely younger than Lizeth but you know she was raised well and just has a better outlook and attitude I should say. I ordered a pair of Versace sunglasses from this location to be delivered to the store (all they had was the display pair and i wanted brand new) 3 days later i get the call to pick up my order. When i arrive there's a young man working by himself. He wasn't very welcoming and he didn't ask me for an id or a receipt. When he gave me the box it was packaged so unfortunately i didn't open it right at that moment. When i did open it in my car the box it came in was old and clearly used! Sunglass Hut at Macy's - Sunglasses Near Me - West Covina, California

I'm solely rating Sunglass Hut 4 stars based on their sunglasses quality, particularly the brand Ray-Ban. The customer service was passable and subpar at best. I wasn't greeted at all when I walked in and none of the sales associates went out of their way to ask me if I needed any assistance on browsing through their sunglasses collections. Indifferent, unenthusiastic customer service is what I observed here. The prices here for any of their 'designer' or upscale sunglasses brands are of course incredibly pricey. I can only speak for the Ray-Bans (the only sunglasses brand I buy at Sunglass Hut) because in my opinion they are worth the splurge due to being durably well-made. Yet, I'm sure the other sunglasses brands are just as superior in quality especially if you're forking out $100 or more per sunglasses pair. I'm a fan of Ray-Ban's Clubmaster sunglasses design. I love the comfortable fit and retro, sleek style it embodies. I purchased a pair of Clubmasters with tinted blue, reflective lenses and coated with a silver outer frame. The ear pieces are much easier to adjust compared to the regular Clubmasters, since they're made of wire instead of plastic. The lower price startled me. It was still expensive yet I did a double take when I heard the sales associate state it was $165 instead of the $218 fee I had read earlier on the attached price tag. Anyway, a nice surprise; wasn't expecting to save on a pair of sunglasses here, but left the store saving more than I thought I would on a new pair of Ray-Bans. Surprise discounts are the best kind! Furthermore, I would recommend Sunglass Hut if you're looking for long-lasting, high quality sunglasses and don't mind paying a higher cost. read more

One of the worst customer service, especially from a manager at any store I have ever been to. I went in there In December and was told that the three pairs of frames that my dad had broke the lenses on would be able to be replaced. We were super happy because we didn't think it could be done, but Danielle , the associate assured us it was possible. He did disclose said it would take a couple of weeks for the lenses to come in and at that point once they were in, we would be contacted to then bring the frames in for the lenses to be replaced on the spot. On 12/22/23 I left a voicemail that the lenses were in and because it was the holidays. I decided to wait to go until after. I went in on January 5, after trying to call their store all week only to have it ring and ring and ring and ring, and spoke with the manager, Liz, who proceeded to look at me, as if I was crazy with a smirk on her face, because I had said I was there to get the lenses replaced. She then informed me it wouldn't be something that could be done right then and there especially because the employees could do that on vacation. Obviously it was a little disappointed but if the people were not there and of course there was nothing I can do so. I asked her when they would be done and she told me that they would Eden maybe that weekend but they would give me a phone call. I left, expecting to get a phone call from them that weekend, which I never did and of course every time I tried to call their phone line rang, rang and rang . It wasn't until I got a text from the original associate Daniel, who helped me that expressed that my lenses were in and I could come and get them replaced when I had the time. I expressed to him, forgetting that I had already left the frames there and I had had a horrible time trying to get a hold of them on top of being told by Liz that it wasn't something that could be done right then and there. He explained that he was so sorry he wasn't sure what went on, but when I went to let him know, so he can make sure everything went smoothly. I informed him I wouldn't be able to go until Friday evening. He explained to me that he wouldn't be there, but his manager, and another associate, who was more than capable of doing it would be there. He also mentioned their store phone hasn't worked for two months. Umm?????? So I go on January 12 just for the manager Liz she once again tell me it wasn't something that could be done right then and there . I was so livid that it completely slipped my mind and I had already dropped the frames off the week before. So when she let me know that she would have an associate the next day, which was Saturday work on them, I left. The next day on Saturday that associate called me and let me know that one of three of the lenses that were originally ordered were actually incorrect, but guess what had they not just thrown my order to the side and not followed up on it at all. They would've seen that and saved me a weeks time because now in order to get the correct lenses I have to wait another two weeks. I had already asked Liz when I went to drop off the frames. What was going to be done rectify the situation, and her only solution was to refund me and not fix the lenses, which, obviously is the dumbest thing I've ever heard. Because I didn't want to the associate who called me seeing as they were really involved , I called to talk to Liz herself, who ultimately just repeated everything I said to her back to me, basically denied that she was the one I talked to when I dropped the frames off, and didn't offer ANYTHING to help rectify the situation. She finally attempted to apologize at the mishaps that her and her associates did, Just to tell me, it's a third-party thing, and she can "see" if they can give her a discount. I PAID for them to order the lenses, they rang me up at their store, there is MOST DEFINITELY something they can do. What essentially happened is they took my frames and the lenses and put them in a cupboard on the sales floor and forgot about them. THAT I know because I witnessed her pull them out. I am most definitely going to pull the "I worked in retail management" card because THIS, is crazy. There is always something that can be done especially when it's not the customers mix up. To make matters WORSE, I try and call corporate and no one answers either??? Is this a joke. It has to be. After MUCH back and forth, the Manager Liz was able to get me some Macys coupons and a partial refund. So, all in all, there WAS something that could be done, and it didn't even have to get to this point. Smh. read more

If you buy online and return the order in store then you need to be wear especially you deal with lily and another girl ( caution with this one) Those two has some attitudes and unprofessional. They ask me when I make the purchased. Gosh,... I already gave them my receipt which I got from the mail along with sunglass. Not sastify, they want me to show when and again the ups number which already had in their hands. This will make a hard time for anyone purchase online and return to the store. I was here to buy some sunglasses a couple months ago, and the collection looked promising. The reason why I walked out without a pair is because of the customer service. The reason is actually opposite of what most of these negative reviews complain about. The sales girl was up right up against me, pretending to polish glasses as I looked around, following me wherever I went in the small space. I'm not sure if it was because management read all these negative Yelp reviews about employees not being helpful at all and are attempting to rectify the issue by having an employee right up your ass right as you walk in. If this was your objective, then literally back up a bit. I did not feel one bit comfortable and I felt like I was being watched as if I was going to steal something. I asked some questions and she answered politely enough for me to not come to the immediate conclusion that she had some kind of illogical distaste for me personally. Sunglass Hut in West Covina Macys has horrible customer service. Macys just rents out space to them and does not accept any responsiblity for them. I went in to have my sunglasses adjusted (that I bought there) and the girl said they do not adjust sunglasses there. Another time I went in the get a new pair of glasses with my year policy and they said they will not honor the year 50% trade in and sent me on my way if I did not want to pay the full retail price for a new pair of glasses. The employees will always say "My manager...." Their manager is a stickler and it is sad to see such bad service for Sunglass Hut and for Macys as Macys is a wonderful serivce kind of store!!!!! Probably the worst Sunglass Hut. The sales people are always busy chit chatting without greeting customers. Especially that older lady I believe is the manager, didn't greet/acknowledge me when I walked into store and actually looking to make a purchase. Snooty attitude for no reason. She gives out a vibe that she hates her job and don't care anymore. I think it might be the truth! She made the entire purchase experience like a drag.....Which also explains why this particular store hardly has customers. Went here on the 17th in the late afternoon to look at a couple pairs of glasses. There were two you guys kids working there and they were chit chatting when we walked in with one another. Not one stopped to greet us or help us find what we were looking for. We left as why should we give business to a store where their employees can't even acknowledge us. We walked out and said "thanks for your help" and they still don't stop talking to say a word. Came here a couple days ago looking for a gift for my mother. She always buys herself cheap shades that break so I wanted to get her something with good quality. I looked around for a bit before being approached by this young lady named Miranda. She asked if I needed help and I filled her in on why I was there. She made me a few suggestions of different brands with different price ranges. I like the fact she didn't just show me the expensive stuff first like most places. I ended up grabbing some Prada's (which aren't cheap) and then she recommended some ray bans for myself. I wasn't even thinking about getting any for me and somehow some way she convinced me to get some. The girl didn't greet me, and was too busy on he cell phone to offer any assistance. I asked where the Ray Bans were, and she had the nerve to point her finger in the direction of where they were located. I wanted to rip that phone out of her hand. She was young with dark hair, and I wish I would have gotten her name so I could post it here. I will never go back to Sunglass Hut again. Worst customer service and crap products. My sunglasses just broke and it was barely over 1 year since I bought them. I called to see if there was anything they could do (wasn't hoping for much since it was over a year). I spoke with Heather and she said yes absolutely, since it was barely over the year they could do an even exchange. I drove 30 minutes over in the 100+ degree weather based on the information she gave me. I had to wait for the sole associate to help me (who only staffs 1 person on a Sunday?) and she right away said they could not do that and called the manager. The manager said that Heather had no authority to tell me that and they couldn't do it since it was past a year. Employees should not make promises that cannot be kept. No only was I lied to, but I wasted my time and gas and for nothing. I called asking what their policy was and I was completely misinformed. They should have honored what their employee said. The only thing the manager said was "well you had them for a year." That does nothing to make me feel better about spending money on expensive sunglasses that were supposed to last a while! Horrible.
