The salesperson told me the tint would work for my outside job, however, when I wore my new glasses outside all day, the tint did not get dark like sunglasses. I came back to discuss my disappointment and options for making them darker as initially described. The sales lady tried to sell me new glasses for $300 more dollars on top of the $400 already paid. I bought my first pair of Raybans at Gordmans 10 year before, for much much less, before Luxotica bought out Raybans. That's another story. I love Sunglass Hut, The one in New York Ciity is huge, this one not so large. But gorgeous. My Rayban love passed to my son, and I bought his first pair of Wayfarers today. I know, for sure, I can buy knock offs, but....my 5 favorite words are, "I Don't Buy knock offs." I like the personalized service at this Sunglass Hut. They took their time to allow my son to try on every pair he wanted, and had extreme patience. I had a look around. I love it that they even sell high end sunglasses (Coach, etc...) and that a pair of sunglasses can be over $200. For some weird reason that thrills me. I love looking at all the sunglasses. I tried on a wood grained pair, that was cute in the display case, but ugly on. And were over $200. The thing is, Sunglass Hut can be trusted to give the guarentees, to remove the price tags so you can wear the sunglasses home, and if anything goes wrong, you can go back to the store. I like all the different things, from floating sunglass accessories, to sunglass cleaners. I love the folding Wayfarers, that's next on my list. But, aah..I love Raybans as much as I love Swatch Watch. Just that with Sun glass Hut, Raybans are easier to obtain. Or maybe, I'll buy a pair of Coach glasses, but they don't fold.

When we first arrived she was helping another customer, that's totally okay we looked for ourselves. She very snarkily said "what do you guys need?" Later after she finally started to help my friend we asked her a few questions and wanted to write down the information so if he came back for the glasses he liked best, he would know the exact ones. Totally normal. She said "no, I don't write things down but these are one of a kind, I only order one of each, I will remember, it's my policy." (Which isn't true because a salesman wrote down a pair for my sister in law a few weeks back) Then naturally we asked if they were 'one of a kind', was she the only local one who sold them... Because since she wouldn't write them down and only had a single pair we were curious if we'd be able to purchase them someplace else if they sold. They did some fancy check up, adjusted the frames around my head, make me feel that the I am being treated well. The transition frames takes an extra day, but the other hoya lenses without transition takes 1 hour to make. They sent the frame to me fast, double check the address, make sure that I receive the lense. It is very good work ethics and customer service. I feel compelled to stop my work and drop some nice words for them.

Great customer service yesterday on a visit, was even encouraged to go outside and walk around with a pair I was considering that had a price tag of around $200 (Oakleys if you must ask). How's that for customer service and more importantly, trust? Probably my honest good looks (cough...). Colleen assisted me yesterday, was delightful and quite helpful when I explained my most pressing need in sunglasses (hiking, must rest comfortably under a tight fitting ball cap, good UV protection ,etc.). Good sanitation practices in use. Once you try on a pair they go into a special container for sterilizing. Hand sanitizer available for customers at the register. Lots of really cool things to look at, more than I probably should, but I knew specifically what I was in the market for so didn't take long to find my purchase, and now that I've worn them out and about for critical need activities like, oh, getting carry out tacos and my daily hike, I'm a happy customer.
