Anyway, let's focus on the wonderful Evergreen Eye Care. Dr. Zamberlan and her staff are consummate professionals. I haven't had such a modern, comprehensive exam in a long time. The staff are so welcoming, from making my appointment to my first visit. Unlike a lot of medical offices, the waiting room is not crowded and Dr. Z. takes her time sharing her knowledge with her patients. I truly felt valued and am so happy to have found my "forever" eye care practice. Sandy was the assistant at my visit...so friendly and knowledgeable. Nicole helped me select 2 frames (which are very reasonably priced) plus new reading lenses and offered me their current discounts. They have such a nice selection and I've never chosen glasses so quickly! I cannot think of any suggestions to make other than to ask that you please continue to do what you are doing. Evergreen Eye Care is awesome. *Update: I referred my hub to EEC and asked him about his experience. He said, "I loved it!!" He went on to share how complete his exam was and all the great suggestions Dr. Z. offered. In this era of impersonal, conveyer-belt medicine, Evergreen is the antithesis. We are fans for life!

The waiting room features a hot and cold water dispenser, as well as a Keurig coffeemaker with a huge variety of flavors. Chairs are plush and comfortable. I was particularly impressed with the technology in the pre-exam area. There are four machines right in a row. The first is an interactive test for peripheral vision / size of field of view. The second is an automatic test to establish one's baseline eyeglasses prescription, featuring a barn at the end of street on a grassy field to look at as opposed to others I've experienced that have nothing or a blurry circle. The third is an "air puff" glaucoma tester, and the fourth is one that takes photos of one's eyes. The wait to see the eye doctor was very short, and Dr. Hu was extremely professional, polite, and helpful. She was the first eye doctor who was ever able to answer my questions about how to determine which of two lens choices to pick. Here is the conversation: "Which is clearer, 1, or 2"? I said that "1 may look a bit sharper, but the 'O' looks like a square where it looks round on '2'". Her advice to choose the one that is less distorted seems to have made all the difference in the world. The prescription I got was far and away the easiest to adjust to I've ever experienced. They literally required no adjustment period at all. It was instantly perfect. I was also very happy that this exam, despite it having been my first exam in over a decade, didn't require my eyes to be dilated. I'm not sure exactly why this is, but I'm not complaining. If you're a new patient, don't get discouraged by the long wait time before you can get in. The reason that they're booked solid for a few months out is because they are great, and waiting is definitely worth it.

The service is civil and they take time when it's clear you're going to be dropping serious money. But, after dropping over 400 dollars on lenses (I brought my own frames to them, but read on about that) and I asked for a box to put my new glasses in, they said "Ten dollars". Really? After all the dough I just spent? It left a bitter taste in my mouth and I probably won't go back because of that petty gesture. Ironically, the frames were purchased FROM THEM two years earlier for a few hundred bucks. Not a good way to end what was a good experience. There are too many other choices in town. Good bye, Blink. You lost me.

Oh expensive eyewear, how I adore thee…read more.. It does not matter how sunny, rainy or foggy and overcast it is outside, I will be sporting my fancy sunglasses. I am still in love with my two Bvlgari sunglasses. One a rather simple burgundy affair that I bought locally and the other, a really ornate pair embellished with rhinestones that I picked up in Dubai, UAE. As a matter of fact, on those overcast days, a pair of sunglasses with UV protection is still just as necessary as it is on a bright and sunny day. Adding polarization to the sunglasses just gets rid of that annoying glare. This is how I justify my sunglasses addiction. Sunglasses are not a fluffy, feel-good accessory like earrings. Sunglasses are necessary for my health. The fact that I need Prada for my health...well...that is just pretty awesome isn't it?

The technician is friendly and knowledgeable, and ran me through several diagnostics on very high tech machines. The doctor is outstanding, very thorough and provides excellent explanations of what she observes, what the options are, etc. The staff here is excellent, and this is a very well run business that provides high quality services.

I am an alumna of four colleges and universities, so I looked for sunglasses for those schools on Society43's website. I felt disappointed that sunglasses for Ohio State were sold out, but I did find sunglasses for Penn State. The sunglasses were available in a few colors, and the price was $20. Green shipping with carbon offset cost $1.15. Shipping cost $4. Five days after I placed my order, the company shipped my package via the USPS. Two days later, the USPS delivered the package to my house. The sunglasses look to be stylish and sturdy. I did notice, however, that the sunglasses have a very similar size, shape, and style as do two other pairs of promotional sunglasses that I bought for less money in the past, so I suspect that the sunglasses are manufactured by the same factory. I look forward to wearing my sunglasses in the future.
