Initially, I gave Lee swimming pools a very poor rating. After being contacted by Joel (the owner) after my review. Joel came out and made everything right. Being in business myself, I understand that sometimes associates or employees don't always make the right call. It happens. This was the case in my situation. Joel personally came out and rectified my problem. He also offered to give me my money back, which I did not accept. My only goal was to get the work completed that I had paid for. Joel seems like a standup guy, and cares very much about the quality provided by his business. Very sorry that I had not amended this sooner.

Awful Experience with GULF GUNITE POOLS - Best to Avoid! I…read morerecently decided to hire Gulf Gunite for a pool installation, and I must say it was an incredibly disappointing experience with this contractor. Right from the beginning, I clearly communicated my desire for a larger pool. Despite following up several times, I was met with a series of excuses. At one point, the owner's wife even mentioned the possibility of making it bigger on the day of digging if I still found it too small. However, when the time came, the owner informed me that it was too late to make any changes and that I should have raised my concerns earlier. It was frustrating to see such a lack of coordination between the owner and his wife, especially considering the numerous times I had reached out about this. I have text messages to support this, as well as dates and time stamps, to verify the accuracy of every statement I've made. To add to the frustration, the owner informed me that I needed additional dirt for a concrete pad I was adding. I explicitly requested that the dirt be left on my property, and he agreed, but later removed it and sold it without my consent. This put me in a difficult position, as I had to purchase dirt to complete my project. As if that wasn't enough, during the excavation process, they damaged my sewer line. When I raised this issue with them, they denied any responsibility and refused to rectify the situation. Their response was, "we are not liable for hidden utilities". And they blamed it on the person who poured a concrete pad nowhere close to where the sewer line came into my home. I sought the opinion of two different plumbers and the city of Gulfport, all of whom confirmed that the pool company was responsible for the damage, yet they continue to evade accountability. The repair cost me 5K. Throughout the entire ordeal, both the owner and his wife proved to be extremely challenging to deal with. They were consistently impolite and patronizing, which only added to my frustration. They hurried through the process, pressuring me for days to choose a different tile when the one I wanted was unavailable. I now strongly suspect that they were hoping to finish the job before the sewer issue arose and I discovered their mistake. I am willing to wager that the dirt was not left on my property for this very reason, as it would have revealed the damaged sewer line. This entire experience has been a nightmare, and I strongly recommend that anyone considering Gulf Gunite should explore other options. Spare yourself the hassle and headache and opt for a company that prioritizes communication and customer service. I can assure you if you hire these people, and your even slightly dissatisfied with any part of it, they will not only blame you and make up absurd accusations against you, accuse you of trying to damage their reputation, and everything else they think of to make you out to be the bad guy, they absolutely will not take any accountability for ANY of their actions! AT ALL.

I hired BRC Renovations to paint and install new flooring in a mobile home I purchased as a…read morefix-and-flip. I gave him a $4,200 budget, and he assured me he could handle everything within that. From day one, the work was rushed and sloppy. There was no prep work before painting--no taping or masking--and he sprayed over everything, including doorknobs, hinges, mirrors, and light fixtures. It looked careless. I paid him $2,700 in labor, plus an additional $1,367 in materials (total of $4,067), and the issues only became more obvious--missed paint areas, rushed flooring, and overall poor quality. I had the former owner inspect the property, and she pointed out damaged subflooring that he installed new flooring over without ever mentioning it. When confronted, he became irate and used inappropriate language toward her. When I spoke with him, he refused to take accountability and was more focused on getting paid. He even told me "you get what you pay for," which was never communicated upfront--he had already agreed to do the job within my budget. When I told him I expected the work to be corrected, he became hostile, so I ended the call. He never followed up or came back to fix anything. I ultimately had to hire another contractor to fix his work, which cost me even more money. If I had known he was only focused on getting paid and not on doing quality work, I would have never hired him in the first place. Very unprofessional, poor workmanship, and no accountability. I would not recommend. The following is my response to his response. This response is inaccurate and misrepresents what actually happened. At no point did I receive "free work." All payments were made in good faith as the project progressed, totaling $2,700 in labor and $1,367 in materials. The issue was never about avoiding payment--it was about the quality of the work and the lack of communication regarding major problems. The painting was done without any prep work--no masking or taping--resulting in paint being sprayed onto fixtures, hardware, and surfaces that should not have been painted. This is clearly visible in the photos, which show the actual quality of the work. Additionally, flooring was installed over damaged subflooring without it ever being brought to my attention, which is a significant issue that had to be corrected later at my expense. While you mention replacing lights and adding cabinet doors, those items do not excuse or offset the overall poor workmanship and rushed job. The concern was never small touch-ups--it was the overall quality and the fact that corners were consistently cut. When these concerns were raised, the response was hostile and unproductive rather than professional. I gave an opportunity to correct the issues, but no effort was made to return and fix the work. I ultimately had to hire another contractor to repair and redo portions of the job, which confirms the concerns raised were legitimate. Calling me a "conman" is inappropriate and unfounded. Based on my experience, the only misleading behavior in this situation came from the contractor. This response reflects my actual experience.
