Today I purchased an IdealH2o water filter. I picked the Premium K2F85 because it is supposed to be one of the best. When I got home, I realized that the water filter had a Proposition 65 warning label on it: it contains products known to cause cancer and birth defects. I was taken aback, that a water filter could cause cancer or birth defects. Stymied, I called the customer service office. The man who answered was clueless as to why their filter would have that warning on it, but then said that it shouldn't matter, because most of their filters are used for growing, not human consumption. I responded that growing things intended for human consumption is still human consumption. The man didn't like my response, and so he said have a nice day and HUNG UP ON ME! I couldn't believe it. I will not be purchasing any of their water filters. There are other companies on the market, I can get equipment elsewhere. read more
