I heard about this place from people at work and they were right. Amazing food that tastes great. I got the chicken teriyaki lunch and also a roll of kimbap. Both were great. Understand if you come here, don't be in a hurry. Sunna is the cook, waitress, and dishwasher(she's looking for employees if you know anyone) so it takes a little longer then you'd expect but worth the wait. The vibe is very relaxed and calm. So a nice place to eat and relax.

My first time trying Korean food! I've always wanted to try Kimbap so I gave it a try here for the first time. I'd say it was like a "not as good as sushi roll". The spring rolls were yummy and so was the bulgogi, but this place is nothing special. None of the appetizers were that great. The owner is the hostess, waiter, cook and cashier so make sure you come here with plenty of time to spare. Our dining experience took 2 hours.

was amazing I've always wanted to try this and it did not disappoint with flavor and especially the spice! Definitely had a kick to it but I loved it! The veggies and fish cakes were fantastic!!! Miss Sunna is fun and sassy and I love that!! Such a great business owner and works so hard, I will be definitely returning to this great place !! Also my husband got the bulgogi and it was delicious and nice and crispy but juicy at the same time! Best Korean food I've ever had so far! Yummy!!!

Me and some friends came here for the first time and will definitely be coming back again! First of all Ms. Sunna is amazing, she runs the whole place by herself from cooking to serving to cleaning the tables! On top of that the food is great, we tried a little bit of everything and it was all 5 stars! I would definitely recommend trying the food here. Very clean and welcoming!

Tasty Korean food prepared and served by the owner herself. Worth checking out in this unassuming strip mall.

It was ok. I ordered the beef bulgogi with veggies and white sticky rice. The meat was good but not the traditional bulgogi I'm familiar with - usually doused with sauce - this meat was grilled and dry. The veggies was overcooked; on the other hand, sticky rice was on point. They served us mini appetizers on small saucers, we did enjoyed it. The lady (maybe the owner) was very friendly. Price was fair, however I probably try other Korean restaurant in the area before going back to this one.

I had the Dolsot Bimbimbop hope i spelled that right it was so good ! My sister ordered the beef Yakisoba noodles also really good ! If you're in a rush I don't recommend unless you have some time, was worth the wait in my opinion ! Sunna was also very kind !

Talk about food! First off we want to say thank you to Sunna. She's amazing. Even took time to teach my youngest some Korean words and was amazingly kind. Love her! The food was amazing sooo good! Definitely will make this a Sunday go to.

    Kimchi Stew 5 stars!

This was a super great find while in Sierra Vista, AZ on a trip to see Tombstone. We stumbled upon this place for dinner on a Sunday night, fortunately everything around was closed and the bright neon open sign beckoned us in. We couldn't believe how genuinely authentic and delicious of a find this was in a relatively small town. The Kimchi stew was perfect (with yummy tofu & meat within it) on a cold night in March.

Oh no, I thought, is that a good or a bad question. "We hiked up Huachuca Peak" she reminded me. That hike was in early 2020, before the pandemic. Then I remembered. She blazed up that peak faster than me. She also remembered my German Shepherd dog I brought on that hike. Even my dog beat me to the peak. I didn't want to tell her that I have six German shepherd dogs. Kim only has one. This woman, Kim, is not the owner, but a friend of the owner who is currently in Korea. We had a nice conversation about Korean and American food and we both giggled at the differences between the two cuisines. I have been a fan of Asian cuisine for several years now. I ordered a cheesy spicy chicken, It came out fast. Kim insisted I have some water and gave me a bottle of it. I'm glad she did, as the cheesy spicy chicken lives up to its spiciness. The portion is big enough for two meals. The hot pepper dominates, but the cabbage and chicken also stand out. The wall decor includes photographs of Korean landscapes and villages. The dining area otherwise is simple, with a mostly white color dominating. There are two non-gender specific bathrooms up front. I enjoyed my meal. I will try the spicy chicken tacos next. Kim offered me some Korean coffee after my meal, but I declined as I only drink coffee in the morning and I didn't want to be up all night, but she insisted I take some instant Korean coffee with me. "You must try this with milk!" Kim said as she handed me four packs of Maxim coffee, "my husband uses four of these per 16 ounces." I'm glad she told me how much water to coffee ratio to use, as the directions on the packet are only in Korean.

I was immediately greeted by the friendly mother of the owner and opted to sit against the wall near the front. The dark grey decor immediately impressed me. Even the rest room was beautifully decorated. My server was very attentive throughout my meal. I ordered raspberry iced tea and chicken bulgogi. My server asked me if I wanted to grill it myself, but I opted for the kitchen to do that. I don't trust my own cooking skills. The various appetizers were served first. I really liked the cucumber kimchi. I was asked various times if I wanted refills on any of the dishes. I got a second portion of cucumber kimchi. The bulgogi came out steaming fast. There was a lot of food there for just one person. I took my time savoring the flavors and taking in the ambiance. The chicken was lean and very flavorful. The dining area looks big, but the restaurant only seats 48 people. There are two long tables that can seat parties of eight. There are four TVs, one in each corner of the room. I don't understand why anyone would need the urge to watch TV in a place like this, with the focus being on grilling and socializing, but each TV was on and muted. This place can get loud with just a few groups of people. Music in the background is modern rock, which may not fit in with the mood of this place. The things I noticed: The owners really care about the customers and enjoy talking to them. The tables are kept clean. As soon as customers leave, the tables are cleared and the grills sanitized. My server was always asking me what else I wanted. She brought me what things I did need right away. There is a four-prong outlet by every table that's against the wall, so I was able to keep my phone charged. While my meal was pricey -- the tea and bulgogi alone were around $29 before tax--it was an excellent dining experience, I will be back. .

You have to request ssamjang (korean bean paste mixed with gochjang (mild sweet chili paste) and other seasonings, which is a standard dip at KBBQs. Be sure to ask! I was a bit excited to try this. However, I understand now why it's the "best of Tucson". It's because it's literally the ONLY kbbq spot in Tucson. So extremely low bar. I have no idea how this place has so many positive reviews. I was not impressed for the amount of money. 40$/person is insane. I don't understand the menu at all. Why is it 40 for standard but if you want the good meet it jumps 10$ per person? I have never been to a kbbq like that. Let's start the review. -jap Chae was overcooked and way too much sesame oil -fish cakes were too sweet -kimchi was too bitter -corn cheese had too much cream or something. It tastes like a paste. -Ssamjang is extremely weird. It was liquidy. Ssamjang is not supposed to be liquid like since it is a fermented soy PASTE. It was not the right color and did not taste like Ssamjang. Ssamjang is usually a deeper color like a burnt sienna than whatever orange thing they gave me. -grill temp was all over the place -portion sizes were not good Full disclosure. I am Korean. I grew up eating Korean food and being surrounded by Korean culture. The japchae had too much sesame oil. If I can distinctly taste the sesame oil there's way too much. The fish cakes had too much sugar. The portion sizes I thought were small for kbbq. Maybe get two servings out of one order. Also when the grill was initially turned on, it was so hot that our first round of meat pretty much instantly burned due to temperature and the meats were thin. Thank goodness the staff didn't charge us for the left over burnt meat. I'm serious it was CRUNCHY. Also personal take here. At this restaurant I didn't see any Asians on the staff. At kbbq usually you see Asians or Koreans working. I saw no Asians working. So I thought to myself if a Korean speaking person came here the would be in trouble unless the knew English very well. I'm a little concerned about if the owner is even Korean? You might not think it matters but it does. They know how Korean food is supposed to be. Some good things. The galbi wasn't bad. It was the short rib with bone which isn't my preferred form of galbi but it was still good and not too sweet. The pop corn chicken was so good. They give a chunk of beef fat to grease the grill in the beginning which I appreciated. Strip loin was good. Although it was basically a chunk of meat you toss on the grill and cut yourself with scissors. The spicy pickled cucumbers weren't bad and tasted normal. That's about it though. I would never come back here due to the price absolutely not equating to the quality. The staff very nice. But not nice enough to save the food. This place I would expect more 20-25$/person than anything. Not 40$! If the kbbq place absolutely was redone different story.
