This was an interesting place for sure. If you don't have T-Mobile you are out of luck for cell service in this area. We arrived as it was getting dark, didn't know there was a wild fire (forest fire?) going on near by til we saw the fire fighter camp in the field next us with all their tents, machinery, and vehicles. Grateful that I check my email for check in information for things like the bathroom code before we didn't have cell service. 2 toilets, 1 larger shower in each bathroom. Never figured out where the hosts/staff were to check out as requested in the email since we arrived after hours. Left early because of the smoke, and headed off to our next destination. read more

We stayed here and were pleasantly surprised, the sites were roomy and several were shaded by large trees, and had all the hookups, with clean bathrooms and showers! The manager was very nice even when we drove on the grass to park our 5th wheel! He explained it can ruin his underground systems! There is a road close but it is not real busy and didn't bother us! We stopped here for the night. Met the new Owner Marcus! A very nice guy. He just bought the place last June. He said they are working hard to get the park cleaned up better than when they bought it. Great hospitality we say. We went for a walk and talked to him and another guy again. They are excited to get it all cleaned and nicer again. We will definitely stay here again when passing through. I stayed there for the sole purpose to charge up my rv batterie, because there are plenty of beautiful free spots to camp in the area. Upon arrival, I find that my electrical box isn't working. There is no one onsite so I left a voicemail message with the office, which they say they check regularly. I was going to go sightseeing, but canceled plans to be available. a day later, after no response, I use the emergency number provided. someone gets back to me and suggests I move to another site. by that time, I was headed out for the day, and asked if I could just chec out a day early, the next morning. They refused to offer me that opportunity -- or any discount given they sold me a full hookup site but didn't deliver one -- other than a comp day for a future visit. I've been a full-time RVer for five years and have never seen a park not try to accommodate a visitor in some way, even a small way, when there is a problem. The site next to mine had electricity (I tested my surge protector and extension chord on it to see if it'd reach my trailer), but I noticed they duct taped the switches to the "on" position. It looked like they are having some issues with their boxes. read more

Not the nicest place, but we just were staying overnight to make this trip shorter. Check out time was 11, but we were not aware (I guess that is our fault) at about 11:45 we were told that we were going to be charged ten dollars an hour for any over time if we didn't hurry up and get out of there in 10 minutes. There were about 20 empty spots. We will be looking for another place to stay if we need to rest. read more

We made reservations to stay at this RV park for 3 nights. We discussed the site choice with the owner in advance since we have two big dogs. She suggested site 3 that is away from where most campers stay. It turned out to be perfect! There was more than enough room to back our car trailer and cabover camper into the site. Having full hookups was certainly a plus! We didn't have a lot of shade but were gone all day exploring, then used the air conditioner upon return. The laundry, bath and shower facilities were very clean. The camp caretakers were very friendly and helpful. We would most definitely stay here again! The only downside is the check in time listed on my reservation form was 3:00pm, but when we arrived at 3:00 the sign said 2:00pm. We would have liked to checked in earlier but didn't want to pay by the hour to be a couple hours early! Check out time is 11:00am. Cost: $42 per night for full hookups. read more

There are currently no Tesla superchargers between Winnemucca, NV and Boise ID. I might have been able to squeak through on a wing and a prayer but so glad I was able to stop here to charge. I brought my Nema 14-50 adapter and got a consistent 29 miles-per-hour charge rate. You will need to do the math as to how long you need to stay and it will vary depending on whether you are heading to Boise or Winnemucca. There is free wi-fi and clean restrooms. It is quite scenic here. Some tips: Don't forget your Nema 14-50 adapter. Bring insect repellent. Put $20 in the lock box at the park entrance kiosk, drive to the nearest empty spot, (which will likely be spot #1 or #2 as they are closest to the entrance and busy road) and plug in. The manager is very friendly and helpful and will likely come over to make sure everything is going okay. read more

Teslas are welcome here!! My husband and I were driving from Dayton, NV to Payette, ID in our Tesla and it was pretty cold weather. We pulled in with desperate need to charge our car for a bit and they were more than helpful to get us a spot and charge. They just bought the place and are looking at possibly adding spots to just charge cars up! But the plug we were able to use was 32 volt, which averaged 30 miles an hour and that was great! The bathrooms are clean, there is WiFi, and it isn't a far walk to the gas station to get some snacks! Thanks, again, for the hospitality, guys!! read more

I stopped there after driving 300 miles and needed a place to stop for the night. When checking in I met the new manager. I was told they just took over as owners and had only been there five days. The owners were very friendly and knew there was much to do to improve the campground. I had a mishap and the owner was right there to assist. The park needs work but I am confident improvements will be done. I gave some ideas based on my many years of staying in RV parks and they were listened to. If I am in the area again I will stop again. read more
