This really breaks my heart to write this review! This has been a safe haven for me for over 15 years and has always done excellent work in caring for its clients. I began to notice a decline in customer service, the last 2 years. I mean sometimes things slip when you get overwhelmed and businesses grow very quickly, so I figured they would catch up. My experience with them last night was the last straw! I will not be bullied into paying for a service I did not receive. It was unexceptionable & the more I made any suggestions or complaints asking for someone else, the worse it was. I had the same problem Daniel H. did and that was I called in advanced to book an appointment and was told to come in at 5pm. When I arrived at 5pm I spoke to the same man who answered the phone and he seemed puzzled and asked me that I did not have an appointment. I confirmed the phone number with him that was the phone number to the buisness and he still seemed confused and unapologetic. I'm not sure if there was a language barrier but I just told him I was going to leave and not come back. It doesn't seem like he really cared about my buisness. So I've been here a few times (5-6) in the past couple years... I never really LOVED IT...but I didn't ever not like it either... Today I got a 30mins foot +30mins body massage $30. This is done on a chair. I love getting full body massages in a more private room but I really some care on my foot today so I did the foot+body combo. One thing to note is that all the masseuse seems to give firm massages...which I like! I forgot the guy I used to like so I came in and got a random guy today. He was a bit sloppy, especially in the end, and pressed on my bones and not around or between them. Had some breathing problems too. Pretty satisfied with this place! It is usually pretty difficult for me to think one of these massage places are satisfactory. Many places don't use enough pressure when giving a massage and it just feels like nothing to me. I didn't even need to ask them to go harder or softer during my entire massage. This place was different. Their pressure was not too hard and not too soft. Their foot massage is supposed to be 20 min body and 40 min foot for $20 for the most basic package. This 1 hour package is more than enough, no need to pay more for the more expensive packages. I never really understood why these massages were called foot massages since it comes with a body massage. I also do not really keep track of the time allotted to the body or the foot but it felt like the body massage was longer than the foot portion. But this is the same question I wonder at all massage places. Other than their perfect pressure strength, the place was cleaner than most massage places I have visited. They also don't have one huge common room for everyone's massages. There are many rooms with massage beds in each room. The room I got had 3 beds while we only used two inside. One thing that made me feel slightly uncomfortable was my masseuse kept wanting to cough but was trying to hold it in so it just sounded like he was grunting. I could look past that since I am very please with the pressure of the massage. After the massage, I came out of the door feeling better already! My friend that I got the massage with also loved it here as well!. Another good thing about this place is that they accept card, unlike many other Asian massage places. They were able to accommodate me for a same day appointment and within 30 minutes, I live down the street from this place, I have seen it, it's next to hair salon i go to but never have actually tried it and boy am I sorry I waited this long. My therapist was Yoyo, she knew all the spots to work on my feet, legs, thighs, face, buttocks (hehe), light massage on my head, more like petting, scratching, arms, back and very minor shoulder due my neck and shoulder injury. she was good, has good pressure firm But not rough except with my legs, feet and arms. the arms and legs, I suppose I need the most. When I need to destress I run in here! It's very clean. Prices are really good! One hour massages are about 20-50 dollars. I prefer the 30/40 minute foot/body massage for $30. They cover you in clean towels and all torso massage is over the towel. That's 70 minutes total! If you go by yourself, they usually put me in a group room with 8 beds, but if I go with someone, they have a 2 bed room. I have to admit I am a big BABY and if you don't tell them, you will be sore the next day. You can ask for a softer massage and they will be more gentle but then you don't get all your stress crystals and tightness worked out. You walk out feeling a little too relaxed! Went here for the first time last night, I'm giving it a two stars because it was clean and nice looking inside. When I arrived the front desk person was not very personable he just tossed me the brochure and I chose one. They take you back and your in a common room with about 6 lounger chairs. The person who did my message gave me more of a pressure point treatment than a message, I wanted a relaxing message and I felt like at some points I couldn't breath he was pushing on my back so hard. I kept asking for softer and he wasn't listening. I was happy when it was over. Also he started at 8:05 and ended it at 8:52 so was not a full hour. When I went to pay he literally stood over me to see how much tip I was going to add. Was a overall unpleasant experience and I definitely won't be back. I've been coming to this location for some time now. Never have I ever been as disappointed as I was this evening. My appointment was for 9:30pm and I arrived at 9:36pm. The doors were locked (mind you their sign says open until 11pm). When I called to see if anyone was inside, I was told that everyone left. I mentioned that I had an appointment at 9:30. I was then told that I was called at 9:17pm which did not make sense to me. The person who handled the phone call was extremely rude, did not seem to care that a long time customer was just trying to have a massage after a long day, and proceeded to tell me that they were closed. He showed no empathy and proceeded to argue with me. I will never come back here. As for your response, have some respect and empathy for your clients. Tony, you have disappointed me greatly. Feeling a little sore and found this place on yelp with high ratings. They are accommodating on making and changing appointments. First impression was empty plaza in a location near one of the biggest temple in 626. For some reason I was thinking near Azusa and Colima but wasn't too far from there. Basic level was 20 mins body and 40 mins foot for $20 so we upgrade to 30 mins body and 30 mins foot $5 more each. They require you to have a min of 90 mins to use check-in. Everyone was nice and it wasn't long till we were lead to a room with three recliners. Normally I ask for a female but I was thinking it might be a good change since my now normal masseur is detail oriented. The masseur started with my foot while I doze off to relax mode and even fell asleep. I notice my face did not has a cover (bf did) but I didn't when I woke up approximate 20 mins. I forgot to shut off one alarm and knew it was now 3:00pm. Both motioned for both of us to turn around on our stomachs and began the body massage. I'm not exaggerating when he kept pressing down from head to foot then up again. The embarrassing part was he pressed down three times each time he went up or down on my ass. Er? I kept raising my head to see if my bf had the same "treatment" but nope. After a few times, he used his arm to push up and down near spine. OUCH! Then back to pressing up and down. After 20 mins, I lift myself up and wanted to leave. I just wanted to leave asap! We left as soon as we paid and tipped. Telling my bf my ordeal, he told me how his guy kept pushing harder to the point his nail was scraping on his back and arm. We discovered he had scratches on one arm that night. This place is nice because they only have private rooms to fit 2 people and everything is new and redecorated. However, the quality of the massages varies every time I come here. Also, its $20 for a 40 minute foot and a 20 minute body massage. They don't have a $15 option. The first time, I got a really nice young gentleman, but because he seemed fairly new to this industry, he didn't realize that he was pressing insanely hard on a small 100 lb Asian girl. However, at Heavenly Soak, they usually have all the stuff ready to go. So I get my whole hour's worth of massage. I always go for the basic $15 foot massage. The first half an hour is focused on the back. One thing I really like about Heavenly Soak is that all the people there are well trained and know all the pressure points. When I get a massage, they not only go through the routine moves, but they'd also focus on the tense spots on my back. The foot massage also feels amazing. I have gone for massages where you are down to your skivvies and there is a lot of oil, even some hots stones, and a lot of foo-foo massaging. I've also done deep tissue, Shiatsu, Swedish, etc. And usually, the price is about $60-$100 an hour, depending on where you go. Initially, I went to Heavenly Soaking because a friend said that they had amazing hour long foot massages for $15. I think the price has gone up to $20, but you are being pampered for an hour. The foot soak also includes an arm and leg massage. My last visit was simply because I was so knotted and twisted, I was having trouble sleeping. I opted for the 60 minute full body massage with the 30 minute foot soak. It was a bargain at $40. Now, keep in mind, some people go for massages to get that light foo-foo touchy feely crap. And you can tell them you want a light massage, if you're into that. Me? I go in there so I can have someone beat the crap out of my muscle tissue. It's almost torture, but I know that the outcome is going to be great, and it is. I feel like my entire back is bruised, but I regain mobility and movement. And more importantly... I can sleep peacefully! My friend and I have decided that we need to go once a month to not let ourselves get so out of whack. So, I will have to budget it in because this is a definite must. Be sure to wear comfy clothes, because this Massage is over your clothes. ( I know it sounds kinda weird but it is really a great deal) It is a very thorough Massage, neck, shoulders, full back, lower back, arms, hands, fingers, scalp, face, feet, toes, and full leg!!! Call ahead first to make a reservation! We came here before with no reservation but the second time we tried they were all booked up. 20 dollars for 40 minute foot and 20 minute body. I have to say, they were a little rough this time but touched up on some painful, problem areas. I have definitely had better massages for cheap but this place was clean and convenient. They talked the entire time as well so that was a bit annoying. They give you tea or water afterwards. A big problem I had was when they do the body massage, they have you flip over on a horizontal chair and I could barely breathe. Most places will have the opening for your face but this place didn't. They were polite and fit us in on a Friday night. Arrived and were taken fairly quickly into a room with 6 chairs. They didn't at all explain where to sit or what to do so we stood off to the side as they scrambled around. Finally they motioned for us to lay down. Massage itself was mediocre at best. Some parts were better than others. Head massage, no good. Arm massage, no good. Foot massage, surprisingly relaxing but not much pressure or technique. Back massage, painful at parts and really weak at others (almost as if he was falling asleep). And this was the case for the 3 others I went with - not a single one of us liked it enough to ever return. Long breaks between massage areas (like they'd all leave the room for 2-5 mins). And the talking! The masseuses talked almost nonstop in little snickering voices - like they were telling jokes or something. It was distracting and noisy and made for a very unpleasant experience.
