This is an independent and assisted living home on the east side of Aurora. I was directed to Sunnymere through A Place For Mom. I was looking for a highly rated place for my fiercely independent 97 year old mother in law. It is a large red brick Georgian mansion with period furniture that backs up to Philips Park Golf Course. There are two sun rooms with wicker furniture and a covered patio to enjoy the views and weather. You bring your furniture for your room or suite. The meals are tasty, filling and served in the dining room. The staff is helpful, professional and welcoming. There are daily activities and seasonal parties that even include resident's families.
This became my mother in law's home for over two years, starting with independent and moving to assisted living. The whole time she lived here she was cared for with respect, dignity and compassion. This is a hidden jewel of Aurora. read more
