Alright, where to start here...everything was absolutely excellent! Parker rolls (3.5/5): going to start with the weakest link. Yes these are viral, no they are not mind blowing. Deliciously fluffy and great with butter but they are still just dinner rolls. Hokkaido scallops (5/5): honestly one of the best bites of food I've had in years. The sweetness of the scallops, slight spice from the sauce, and balanced with pickled ginger...perfection. No words after bite 1, near tears after bite 2. Agnolotti (5/5): get this. The corn, crab, sauce...everything about this worked. This is like a healthy work environment where everyone lifts each other up. You'll get the sweet, the chew, the softness, the salty. Just get it. 26 oz ribeye (4.5/5) with peppercorn sauce (4/5) and bone marrow vinaigrette (5/5): okay so this dish was our main and it did not disappoint. You can definitely taste the beefiness from the dry aging and that alone was enough. With the peppercorn sauce it was great. BUT with the bone marrow vinaigrette, that took this steak from "really good" to life changing experience. Kouign amann ice cream sandwich (5/5): if you've never had a kouign amann, it's like if a croissant and a cake had a baby. Add in some ice cream and this dessert would've had to choke me to death on the way down to not get a 5/5. I'm alive and arguably more than ever after eating this platonic concept of dessert perfection. Get this! The restaurant was beautiful, interior looks like an NYC steakhouse while the exterior outdoor seating is very Miami. The service was some of the best I've ever had. Sunny's is, at least, the best restaurant in Miami. The crab agnolotti on its own is worth the flight from New York, The service at Sunny's is exceptional. The staff make you feel at home the moment you walk onto the property. I say property because it is much more than a restaurant. It is a gorgeous courtyard, multiple bars, a huge dining room. It's one of the most unique layouts I've seen and it creates the foundation for an incredible experience. Our reservation was 8:30pm on a Sunday and it was packed. There was not a single open table. We left around 11pm and still, totally packed. Sunny's is a hot restaurant - anytime, any day they are booked solid. The food is incredible. We started with the raw bar and had oysters, scallops, hamachi, and razor clams. The raw razor clams were the best I've ever had. The scallop with the salsa verde.... Wow. Amazing bites. We got the sausage filled with Comte cheese. This is one of the best items on the menu. Must order. We ordered the agnolotti and cavatelli. The duck cavatelli is an excellent pasta dish. The crab agnolotti is one of the best pasta dishes I've ever had, if not the best (contenders are Torrisi and Lilia so you know I know). When you bite into the agnolotti, it bursts like a soup dumpling filled with rich corn butter and cream. It's quite literally magical. You have to appreciate the genius and talent that went into this dish. We finished with the hanger steak - perfectly cooked and seasoned. We enjoyed it with potato butter and green peppercorn sauce. We also got the fries. A perfect, golden, crispy fry dipped into the potato butter as an experience on its own. Our dinner ended with the kouign Amann ice cream sandwich. I wanted to try this place for my birthday but they were booked over a week in advance. The day of a few super early and late spots opened up but we decided to try to come back a different time. So if you want to dine here, make sure to book a few weeks in advance on Resy. We booked a 6:30 PM reservation so we could grab a happy hour drink before hand. I think the cocktails at the happy hour bar are different from the regular menu. I had an apricot gin cocktail that I didn't love, but was decent and a slow slipper and my husband had a campari cocktail that is great if you like campari. The bartender was accommodating and overheard me asking my husband if he knew how to spritz the lemon peel like she did but he hadn't been paying attention so she did it again. For dinner, I spotted the table next to us dining on the rolls and Caesar salad and decided I wanted both. The server mentioned that salad is one of their most popular. The rolls were light and fluffy, and very large with sweet and savory honey butter. The Caesar salad was good. It comes out as large leafs of romaine, which is a nice presentation but I do think that leads to breadcrumb and dressing distribution being uneven. It was a very good salad dressing though, not too tart or heavy but still creamy and zesty. For our entrees we had the cavatelli with duck ragu which was my favorite. There were both crispy and tender elements to the duck and the pasta just melted in your mouth. We saved a tiny bit of it to take home because we couldn't stop nibbling on it, and it was great the next day too. They brought our steak out after our pasta. We should have specified we wanted them at the same time. By the time our steak arrived we were pretty full. The steak was served tender and juicy. We got the Prime Hanger. I appreciated that the server mentioned their two less expensive cuts were very popular instead of trying to upsell us on their pricier options, as we were very happy with this option. We had some steak leftover as well which was delicious the next day too. As it was perfectly medium rare, we were able to heat it up on a skillet without it overcooking much. We ordered the Bernaise sauce with our steak, but it was not necessary and I probably would have skipped it. Service was good and pretty efficient. They made sure to check on us frequently but the meal was good without any additions. I don't remember if when booking I requested an outdoor table but their patio is quite hot in summer. I think they need some outdoor fans to help with the heat as I was shvitzing a bit. If I were to visit again in the summer I would make sure to specify the need for an indoor table, but I'm sure it's lovely in the winter months. There was also the occasionally fly near our food which did kill the mood a bit and some table fans might help with. There is a gravel parking lot next to the restaurant. Nothing about the flavor or the cut felt special, and it certainly wasn't worth the month-long wait. The Highlights: The beef carpaccio was excellent truly one of the best I have ever tried! The pasta and salad was also very good. The atmosphere is really nice with a super fun, distinct Miami vibe. The drinks were good, and the service was absolutely great throughout the night. Where do I begin? From the moment we walked in, Blake one of the managers was extremely nice and chatted with up before recommending some cocktails to us and checking to make sure we were good on those. Shortly after, our server Axel arrived and was just full of menu and bar knowledge and completely shaped our whole evening. He was friendly, honest and very well versed in the menu and cocktail selections. He was warm, and genuine and most important wanted us to have a great experience. I was taken to a birthday dinner here by the bestie and wow what an exquisite experience, I must say! The dinner was worth every penny! Ooooo and the bread [the name on the menu is missing me] BUT just order it and thank me later --- For dinner, my bestie had the duck pasta -- and WOW! Just WOW! the flavors just melted in your mouth! I had the 8 oz wagyu flat iron steak [medium] and it was DELECTABLE! The pinch of sea salt was exactly what was needed! Sunny's is a great spot, especially for happy hour. If you get there early enough, you may get lucky and get seated in their patio area without a reservation, but the place does get really busy consistently, which says a lot about their service, food, and overall atmosphere. The french fries are fantastic, and their dips and appetizers in the patio area won't disappoint. Any cocktail I've ever ordered has been very good, so if your waitress suggests something, trust her recommendation, more often than not, she hits the nail on the head. The service is fun, engaging, and inviting. The staff makes you feel like you're among friends, which really adds to the experience. I came here for my birthday dinner and had a lovely experience! I made a reservation a month again to secure a dinner spot. My friend and I got here a couple minutes early and waited a few minutes before we were seated inside. Everyone was kind and said happy birthday to me since I put that on the reservation. The outdoor terrace has a different vibe than indoor. It's more tropical and chill. Indoor was the cool sultry vibe I was going for with the dim lighting and red booths. I was very interested in the burger - which I heard they only have limited quantity of. Fun fact: you can only order it on the terrace. My friend and I shared (this is in order of my favorite): - rocky road sundae ($16): we got it without the candied almonds because my friend is allergic. Don't pass on this! I loved the brownie bites in the sundae and the raspberry was a nice contrast for sweet/tart. - Parker house rolls ($6): it comes with two and the honey butter was to die for. The rolls are thick so you really only need 1 per person. - Caesar salad ($21): each lettuce slice is seasoned/garnished perfectly so no mixing necessary! - Agnolotti ($34): I read a lot about this pasta so we got it. You can taste the sweet corn flavor in each bite since it's like a soup dumpling that has that burst of sweet corn. The sweet corn grew on me but I liked the crab the most. - French fries ($11) with potato butter ($7): we also read about the potato butter and was interested in it. Tbh it tastes like fondue or something, nothing special in my opinion. Same with the fries - they're just crispy fries. I would honestly pass on the fries The bathrooms are by the bar. Our server (Benito or Beto?) was training and he was so sweet and walked me to the bathroom. You enter through a green door and then there are 4 single stall bathrooms. For my birthday, they brought me a key lime pie with a candle and "Happy Birthday" in chocolate which was a nice surprise!! The tables to our left and next to them were also each celebrating a birthday!! When our check came, it came with a postcard (which they do in NYC too). It as my first time dining at Sunny's and it was everything I had hoped for. The bar area was bustling of happy hour and I got there a bit early so I decided to order a wine while waiting for my friend. The bartender was super friendly and engaging. When my friend showed up we were seated on the upper patio. We started out with the octopus ceviche which was tangy and delicious, then we ordered the Parker house rolls, the crab Agnolotti pasta and the Chitarra mushroom pasta. The Crab pasta was to die for and I would definitely come back just for that, but the mushroom pasta was lacking in flavor and salt. I generally don't like to sit outside but their courtyard has a really nice vibe especially during sunset and at night. We ordered quite a few different food items to try, and some of them were great, some were okay. I had the best time at Sunny's with a group of girlfriends for a bachelorette for dinner. Our waitress Sam made sure we were taken care of and was very helpful & attentive. Originally we had to make 2 reservations because we were a bigger group but they made it work and were able to get our whole party seated together in a booth, which we were very happy about. The overall vibe of Sunny's is great. Every spot in the place is aesthetic , notably the coastal decor, the warm low lighting, the silver serve ware. Even the playlist was great. Those Parker rolls come with a honey butter that was so delicious. I'm a Caesar salad girlie so I loved the Caesar salad was unique where the croutons were crushed into the salad . The oysters were good but, the sauce they had sent them into the next level. There was a passion fruit/grapefruit vineegarette sauce and a pineapple habanero. Then for my entree I decided on the Cavatelli which is a duck pasta and it was so delicious. One of our favorite restaurant experiences - despite a couple missteps. The overall effect was of casual, welcoming elegance - and that's a really rare achievement. Sunny's Steakhouse deserves major kudos. You know about Sunny's Steakhouse if you've been paying any attention to the food scene - it's gained national acclaim. Wow, and the experience sure shows why: every single person working there (managers, servers, bussers, hosts) is gracious and friendly and pitching in wherever needed to ensure that clients have a great experience. The room and decor are lovely; the patio is lovely; the bar is lovely. The pacing of food and drink is lovely. Frankly, all that is just glorious. Drinks are fantastic. Sides were quite good. Steaks - well, we had a couple of the "prime"-level ones, and they were quite good (next visit, I'm planning to go a little deeper into the menu; I was a bit nervous this trip, given that it was our first experience with Sunny's). Some wires were crossed and the doneness level of my hanger and my wife's filet were reversed. One of our sauces wasn't the one ordered, but what was sent was so spectacular that we delighted in the error. Not a convenient area and not inexpensive, but it was just a lovely time. I had a dirty martini, my boyfriend had an old fashioned, and even the cocktail presentation was on point. Once our table was ready, they came to find us and walked us over seamlessly. For dinner we ordered the hanger steak, duck pasta, octopus ceviche, beef tartare, and the wagyu flat iron. Every single dish hit. Decided to come here as a valentine dinner.The food was delicious! Caesar salad has a fancy elevated taste to it. The Meat was tender and almost melts in your mouth. And the fries were perfectly crispy with a nice crunch on every bite. The only dish that didn't sell me was the grouper. It tasted good, but the dish overall was underwhelming. The location is elegant, and the lights are very dim, giving a romantic feel. Although, it was so dim, I could barely read the menu. The service was good, but a bit slow on our table. Additionally, the way the staff is clearly trained in not just knowing the proper mannerism but also the menu. There's a good reason they're on the Michelin guide and service is a key factor. It's as if they were graced by the nectars of another world. Everything and I mean everything, drinks, appetizers, entrees, sides, desserts. There wasn't anything that left you with any form of disappointment. My recommendations would be as follows... For apps, the bread is a must. Super soft, super fluffy, and to top it with a honey butter is just amazing. Two more things we gotta talk about. The Hokkaido scallops and the beef carpaccio. Now before you judge thinking Wah Wah it's raw sides, give it a try and thank me later. Regarding entrees... at the table we had the hanger steaks all around with the exceptions of lamb, the ribeye, and grouper. Let me tell you something. I FINALLY got to try this place. I am always so fearful of the hyped places in Miami. As a native I never know if this is a tourist trap or if its a legit good restaurant. We were greeted by the host in the front. They were not as friendly as the back staff however I do understand them being straightforward and can appreciate it. I am sure many people cause a fuss trying to get a reservation at this place. They had space in their courtyard area to sit which has its own menu and is next to the bar. I personally would come here with a group of friends and just chill. Get some amazing cocktails and catch the vibe. Our first bartender/server was Ashley (i think). She was great. Super sweet and helped us out with the outdoor menu. Then we met Keshion. This guy... Just clone him and this whole restaurant would be so much fun. He was sweet he was caring and he was on top of his work. We asked him for space at the bar and prayed that the lord would make space for me and my friend. We got SO lucky. We weren't sitting, no one was waiting and someone cancelled their reservations. We took their table of two. It was meant to be. We were seated and Sergio and Cassie took care of us the rest of the night. Sergio was so attentive and most importantly honest. He told us what was good and what was ok. His recommendations on the pork chop. Probably the best pork chop I have EVER had. Pasta was good as were the oysters. My steak was ok... but I would get the pork chop next time for myself. We came here for a work celebration. It's beautiful, really. Make a plan to come here when the weather is nice, because sitting outdoors is so enjoyable. Don't wear heels though - and beware of leaves falling. The food is really, really good and I strongly recommend ordering a martini. The ice cream sandwiches were a little too on the salty side for me, but it was different and I liked that. I can't remember which steak cuts were ordered, but they were cooked to perfection. The elusive Sunny's. Finally snagged a reservation (same day) and we made it. I was so excited to try them for the first time. My dining bud and fellow yelper had been here before so she was commenting on the must haves. Our waiter was so much fun. Our choices were all so great (see pics) and my goodness still dreaming of those Parker rolls. The banana toffee cheesecake dessert was so dreamy too! Lovely ambiance and area. You can take pics everywhere. Love the courtyard outside. It's great to go at golden hour so you can see a bit of day and night there. I highly recommend this Sunny's . Came to Sunny's for my birthday and left emotionally attached. From the moment you walk into the stunning indoor/outdoor space, you know you're in for something special. Add in impeccable cocktails, top-tier food, and service so attentive it feels telepathic, and you've got yourself an A+ experience across the board. Let's talk food (because wow). The Parker House rolls and duck cavatelli came out swinging--warm and comforting. My partner and I then shared the Prime Hanger and the Wagyu Flat Iron, and I'm still thinking about them. The Wagyu quite literally melted as I ate it, like it had places to be. Wasn't my favorite condiment but the potato-butter was creative. Sides matter, and Sunny's understands that. The duck-fat potatoes and creamed spinach were the perfect supporting cast--rich, indulgent, and exactly what steak deserves to be served alongside. Then came dessert. The Kouign-Amann Ice Cream Sandwich. I don't say this lightly: I almost teared up. It was flaky, buttery, cold, warm, sweet everything everywhere all at once. I now romanticize about returning and ordering the exact same meal, no notes. Without hesitation, Sunny's lands comfortably in the top 10 best dining experiences of my life. Birthday well spent. Truly worth the hype. My husband and I came here for our fifth anniversary and loved literally every bite. We started with some stone crab, the steak tartare, and the scallop crudo - each were fantastic, but the steak tartare was a true standout. The sourdough bread, the seasoning and flavor - literally exceptional. For our mains, we had a Caesar salad (yum!), the crab pasta, the duck pasta, and a steak with the potato butter. I loved the crab pasta - the corn flavor was so light - but my husband preferred the duck. However, we both loved the steak...especially the potato butter. I don't know what kind of magic that was, but yum. We obviously also got the rolls and the honey butter is so scrumptious. We ended with an order of the ice cream sandwiches - the pastry was still warm and it was a great little bite. They also sent out a chocolate tart to help us celebrate our anniversary, which was good - but neither of us are chocolate/fruit combo people, so we ended up not finishing it. The hype is real, we absolutely loved the ambience and everything we ordered. Very quick and friendly service from the bar to the servers to the hostesses. We brought our own wine and had them bring it to us right before dinner and was chilled table side. We stopped at the bar for a drink before our table was ready and it was the best martini I've ever had. The food came pretty quick and everything was served to perfection. Honestly can't complain about the serving sizes and the steak was absolutely perfect. It melted in our mouths! Visited on a Friday night hoping for a walk-in, and learned quickly that this place is still is very popular. We waited about 45 min at the terrace bar, followed by another 40 min at the indoor bar before securing bar seats. The wedge salad was excellent. The Parker House rolls and cacio e pepe were good, but not especially memorable. The real standout was the dry-aged hanger steak, which was a very pleasant surprise and something I would absolutely order again. Came by for friend's birthday 7 of us Tuesday on a late afternoon reservation 6:30 , very busy ! The place looks like a big warehouse/garage but when you enter the place it's amazing Palm tree decor, gold frames , chandelier lights.... I came to Sunny's for the first time with my cousins for my birthday, and it's such a delicious restaurant and it's always a plus when there is free parking at any Miami establishment! They have street parking but also have a free lot next to the restaurant. We walked in and the hosts took our name/confirmed our reservation. There was a short wait but we were able to sit at the front waiting area. They also have a section with tables and a bar you can wait at. The restaurant is really nice. It has a beautiful outdoor area that is decently lit but still has an intimate feel. They also have an indoor dining area, but I did not get to see it as we chose to sit outdoors. The staff were very attentive and they cleared our plates and refilled our drinks quickly every time they were low/done. I enjoyed every single bite I had and cannot wait to come back! The steaks were cooked to perfection and the sauces complimented them so well, the fries were addicting and the spinach was creamy. The desserts and drinks were also the perfect addition to the meal. I definitely indulged, but have no regrets on the dishes and drinks we chose and will be making my next reservation soon. read more

Had reservations for 5:30 pm was seated right away. Very nice that there is a parking area for the restaurant (and that there is no fee (unheard of in Miami!). The place has a great vibe. Indoor / outdoor seating. Which is iffy if it rains like it did when I went. Thank goodness we had reserved inside. The patrons outside had a mad rush of staff pop up tents and close up the terrace awning to keep they dry. Inside seating is hip and cool. Great two bars serving AMAZING dirty Grey Goose Martinis with blue cheese stuffed olives ($2 extra for several olive. . A must ). Service is TOP NOTCH. But strange that one staff member introduced themselves then someone else took our order (and oh by the way they don't approve of flash photography, stated by the second staff member while taking our order "says it annoys the patrons! Really in Miami the IG Capital of the world ). But I digress. Ordered Parker rolls with honey butter were good. Tuna tartar was great. Beef tartar was also great. Ceviche and scallops were amazing. For Mains selected 2 hangar steaks and 1 wagu steak. All tender but lacking flavor. We also ordered the blue fin crab corn pasta. Wow wow wow and explosion of flavors. This is the only item I would come back for. Sides were lack luster: mushrooms, French fries and meh creamed spinach Desserts ice cream sandwich and banana foster cheesecake.
