Solid sushi - best in the area I've found. This is a nice place for a group of 4-8 people looking for a nice meal out. The waiters are attentive and kind and were great with recommendations. From the start of the meal everything was very nice! The cucumber appetizer was super tasty! I love the Korean sauce they served it with! My wife can't handle super spicy and she absolutely loved it! Probably my favorite thing I ate there haha. The rolls were all good and we got 4 of them - though none stood out at special or wayyyy better than the rest. The food was good - but great or the best in the area so I'm only docking a star for that. The Chirashi Bowl is barely enough to feed one person unfortunately which was another tick down. This place was so good. I was visiting a friend here In El Paso. When you order sushi you get complementary miso soup and sesame oil cucumber for the table. Started out with a bang because the soul was tasty and the cucumbers were also tasty. Then we ordered the mussels. Now it was not all that good to us. It was too much sauce on the mussels and would've preferred them the traditional way in garlic white wine sauce. Now the sushi was banging. Now you didn't even have to order extra sauce on the side because it was alot of sauce on the sushi itself. If you don't like a lot of sauce tell the server to have them make it without the sauce then order extra sauce on the side. They were busy when we arrived a party of 7. And we were severed in an okay time but the serve was hustling so not terrible. The sushi rolls were delicious , we spilt the boat and then had order entrees after. It was good. The spicy beef noodle soup was delicious! And the rainbow roll which usually has avocado. The Sunny's roll had tuna instead and then just siracha with diced jalapeños. The rolls were also poorly made and were falling apart. It is just super misleading because you order what you usually order at Sunny's Sushi and they should make you aware it is not the same owners. I don't recommend this location at all if you are used to the original Sunny's Sushi. It literally ruined my meal. read more

Everything is described perfectly on their menus and so you are going to get what you ask for. It is a little pricey for sushi, but I guess that's what I'm paying for whenever I eat out, right? I always get the salmon lover roll while I'm there and it never disappoints. Everything is made fresh. All the ingredients are fresh, tons of umami flavor. Being from LA where there are a variety of food, there aren't much choices here in El Paso, Tx. Tried a few places and found this sushi place. Tried other sushi places and it did not leave a lasting impression like this place did. Granted, there are a couple of other locations for Sunny; this location is my fave and go-to. Parking lot itself is small, but when we go, we never had any trouble with finding parking. Food is simply delish! Or as good as it can get here in El Paso. Haven't had anything I was not fond of. Perfect date too; after you finish, you and your date can go to the arcade bar across the street! (It's open after 4:30pm, I believe). If you're craving sushi, highly recommend this place. read more

Husband and i have been on the prowl for a new favorite sushi restaurant in El Paso. I'd noticed this place several times as we drove by, and, after browsing their menu online, we decided to give them a shot. We stopped right around opening on a Saturday and were immediately greeted and sat. The waiter quickly brought us a water and iced tea, and they got bonus points for actually having sweetener at the table. It's the little things :-) we skimmed the menu and realized it was similar, but not identical to what I'd seen online. Also, the menu said the lunch special was only M-F. We questioned the waiter and he assured us the lunch special was still in effect for Daturday. Yay! We tried the playboy roll and the Mexican orgasm, both of which were outstanding. The servings were plentiful without being a rice ball, and the fish, especially on the nigiri, was super flavorful and fresh. They held together syper-well too, not falling apart at all.. We will definitely be back when we have a craving for sushi. I hope this place makes it - while we were there, for about an hour, only two tables were sat, one with 3 people and one with 1. I'm a pretty particular eater and I like to eat alone, I know it's weird but self dates are great! I usually stick to my favorites which are the soft shell crab and the Osaka roll, they never do me wrong! This particular Sunny's I like because when I go in alone I don't get treated different, I don't get rushed, I'm offered the same great service that they offer to everyone else. The ambiance is great and always so well decorated, the staff is always super friendly and kind. I find that the portions of the food are perfect and make total sense for the price you're paying.
