Reasonable. I had $40 on me, so I figured I could let the mechanic keep it as a tip. He finished and he told me it cost $40. Granted, I was going to give him that much anyway, but the fact that he lied with a giant sign on the wall telling me the actual price gives caution about how this place operates. He pulled my car out and didn't give me the standard inspection receipt listing what was done that I receive from other mechanics. He overcharged me. Who knows what else they would overcharge and what questionable practices might be done.

This is a mid-price locally owned gas station right on the corner in a cute neighbourhood near the border of Queens and Brooklyn. The convenience store element doesn't have much going on but they do have a garage in case your car needs more than just gas.

The car wash is ok... They use the brushless machine... I find sometimes it doesn't get all the dirt off, I've even had to have them run my car through again. The workers are always accommodating, never gave me a problem to run the car through again or give me towels to dry my car off. However, the workers don't dry your car good at all, no matter how busy they are... I only put up with it because I like to dry my car off myself. You can usually find me off to the side meticulously drying off my car after the wash... They have a night special (after 7pm), I believe it's $4 (exterior only) and $7 (exterior and tires). Overall, I can only recommend this place if you don't mind doing a little work yourself. But if you just want to pay and go, then this may not be the best place for you... The wash is just average... I only go to this Shell when I have a lot of accumulated and redeemable Stop n Shop Gas reward…read morepoints. I had .60 to use and my car needed gas. This Shell station is typically way overpriced compared to the other local gas stations, so if I have more then .50 accumulated then it's worth it. I went there this morning and my Stop n Shop card was approved. I started pumping and the pump kept stopping, until it completely stopped. I only managed to get $4.47 worth of gas and it used up my .60 off a gallon from S&S. I immediately went inside and the man was so unhelpful and said it was probably my card. I told him, I never had issues with the card at any other Shell. He kind of shrugged his shoulders. I immediately called Stop n shop customer service and target saw that my card was fine and transferred me over to Shell customer service. Thankfully S&S reissued my .60 discount. If this branch gives you issues, please call their Shell customer service. They are filing a report with Shell corporate for this branch. They can't kwep getting away with price gouging and not honoring gas rewards.
