Headed out of town over the weekend, our tire blew on the highway! Thank goodness for my smart, always cool, calm, collected (and sexy) husband for getting us to safety quickly, and thank goodness for the fellas over at the 24 hours NASCAR tire repair center attached to this Sunoco! Who knew there are 24 hour tire repair places all along the Jersey Turnpike?! Sooooo good to know especially because AAA doesn't repair on it, they can just tow you off it. Luckily we didn't need a tow. These guys were amazing!! They took us immediately. They checked our tire, sold us exactly the one we needed which they have on hand for a somewhat reasonable price ($208) and had us fixed up in no time flat. (Pun intended). They also informed us this could've been caused by the sudden and frequent weather changes in the NE region of the country and the overnight freeze Thursday into Friday....so guys, watch out! The entire process took under 20 minutes! The guys were super friendly and efficient! What could've been a scary disaster, wasn't at all!! Thank goodness it happened here instead of on some backroads with no reception! Thank you guys so much!!! read more

Don't come to this station. They hired some mentally unstable attendant who yelled at my wife and banged on her window while she was waiting to be serviced. Totally insane behavior on top of the premium you're paying for gas at this location. This happened today for anyone in management reading these, no idea what his name was. read more

The prices are higher as you are on the highway 95. It was eight cents per gallon more for regular gas than fueling off the highway. The access to the ten pumps is only one way. It is better for safety. Nevertheless, it causes car queues to their ten gas pumps. The staff will wash your windshield while filling up your car. This gas station is part of a service area. read more

It's a gas station next to a rest stop. Unfortunately for us the rest stop was closed and is in the process of being renovated (as of Dec. 2012) so it soon should be nice and new. I'm commenting about this gas station because we had the nicest, friendliest gas attendant ever. In NJ, as reviewer John B. said, there is no self-serve gas. So you need to have the attendant. This guy was the best and i wish I had gotten his name. Just my opinion: It would be so nice if all states had the rule of no self-serve. We didn't get our hands dirty or have to figure out the pump buttons, etc. and we got to talk to a really nice person who seemed to like his job. What a nice experience! read more

What I would do for cheap gas... Sunoco gas is OK... All the gas is basically the same...some companies just add some stuff for cleaning....for some reason i go to sunoco a lot ... never had an issue with them... so A OK to me! read more

Trucker specific review here: fuel is 30 cents cheaper on the NJTurnpike! Who knew. And they pump it for you! Bonus. Then the fun begins. The pump jockey writes you a ticket, you walk that into the service garage, then they look at you like nobody has ever tried to buy fuel before. They couldn't figure out a comdata card, so the guy ran my card through the mechanical carbonless imprinter thingy like it was still 1978! Then you take one of the carbonlesses back to the pump jockey, and in only 30-40 minutes you've bought a tank of fuel. read more

This gas station is so slow!!!! The gas attendants do a terrible job at directing traffic. Clearly you can use either lane no matter which side your gas tank is located and there is just an itty bitty sign that says so. Obviously no one see this sign so the lines go on for days. We almost ran out of gas waiting for gas. My recommendation for better service is have your attendance do more then just pump gas. I know now never to stop here again! read more

I found myself stranded here one fine morning, on my way to Six Flags. Friend 1: I love this electric car, its so smooth! 40 min later, Friend 2: OMG what does your dashboard say? I see the number 15 on, it... does that mean we have 15 miles left on our car? Friend 1: I don't know. Where is the car manaul? Friend 2: I can't find it. There's a sunoco on your right, go pull up! We need to fill up the tank. We pull into the gas station. Friend 1: Which side do we pump gas into? Right or left? Friend 2: I think its the right. We pull up. Friend 2 comes out of the car and walks around the car: There's no gas tank!! We realize we're doomed. We ask the gas station attendees if there are any gas stations where they can recharge our car and there are NONE in the entire state of NJ. We are DOOMED!!! Friend 2 gets pissed off and gets out of the car. There are 2 huge Christmas trees at the side, and he decides to squat underneath the tree. Friend 1 freaks out and decides to take a nap in the car, as if taking a nap would solve the problem. The rest of us in the back seat decide to walk into the building near by to use the bathrooms and pick up some food. We bought a bag of chips and went to the Christmas tree to chill out with Friend 2. We called out friend for help. They jumped into their car but were unable to locate us. We also dialed all the cab numbers, car rental numbers but the taxis were unwilling to come to the middle of nowhere, and the car rentals all closed at noon. We were screwed! Who wants to be stuck in the middle of nowhere with 2 huge Christmas trees and an electric car that had no more power? Finally, we asked one of the cashiers for help and she had a friend who was a cab driver. That friend agreed to pick us up... so we did make it to Six Flags in the end. Found out you can't fill up gas by yourself in NJ. I will upgrade my previous rating from 2.5 stars to 3.

When there's a problem, like pumps are down, it seems to take a few days to a week for that to get resolved. I've been there several times when they had recently updated software or the computers were down and it was never one day and done, it always came back a couple days later and caused problems or lasted a couple days in a row. When sandy hit they had power and because nj law prohibits the transportation of gas in portable containers state police would wait for people to fill up their cans and then pull them over for it. There are however signs near the pumps that clearly state you can't do that but nothing seemed to stop people from trying and/or the attendants from selling/filling the cans. I can't comment on if they offered an extra warning or not as I never tried to transport gas in anything but my tank. Staff have been friendly and professional, some gas stations the attendants will ignore you expecting you to pump your own gas which is supposed to be illegal in nj but those types don't care. read more
