Not realizing there was tax on the chocolate milk now, I handed the cashier a $10 bill and 55 cents. When he handed me back 7 dollars even, I looked at him. He stared around at different places on the ceiling, as a way to avoid eye contact with me. This behavior is not acceptable in American society. Not only did I get intentionally ripped off, the foreign cashier felt no guilt about it. I will not be returning to this store.

This one is smaller than most truck stops but it pretty much has everything you would expect from a TA. The parking and gas is separated for Trucks and cars. I only saw the car side but it was pretty standard. The gas station was a Mobil, I believe. You can't pump your own gas in NJ, so you have to wait for the attendant to gas you up. Decent amount of parking places as well. The store has a Taco Bell and Pizza Hut right when you walk in. They are to the left and the store is too the right. Plenty of snacks, drinks, coffee, hot food, cold food in the store portion. They also have souvenirs and other typical stuff you find at a truck stop, misc tools, clothes, etc. I don't recall if they had showers here but the restroom was decent sized. There is also a diner style restaurant in the back as well. I just bought some snacks and filled up on gas so I didn't try any of the restaurants there but it did smell pretty good.

I don't write reviews for gas stations/truck stops often but this particular day was a pleasant…read moreexperience. I can't recall the last time my family and I came across a full service station. The gas station attendant was very friendly and made sure we were ok. He made sure that we were pleased with his service. The staff inside the convenience store was accommodating and directed us to the public restroom upon entering the shop after noticing that our group was in need of using the restroom. The restroom were clean and well stocked. Cashier was friendly and she even ask us of the restroom was up to standard to our liking! Store was clean and organized and stock well with the necessities of a convenience store. Overall, a decent gas station/truck stop/convenience store along the highway. I needed to get some gas before driving the rental car back to DC and found that gas was only $1.39/gallon. Sweet! Though I have to say, I kinda hate coming here by myself. Yes, it's NJ and yes, they pump the gas for you which is nice. But while the gas attendants here are friendly - sometimes they're too friendly and sketch me out. I think the last time my dad was driving and we came here for gas, the gas attendants kept asking him about me...and if they could marry me! Then when I came by myself another time, same guy wanted my number. Umm...not happening. Anyway, moral of the story: come here for cheap gas and friendly service. But ladies, wear a ring on your finger, real or not. Trust me.

I live in Hackettstown and they deliver within 48 hours every time if I ask. If you're tired of bad service and higher prices they are worth a go. My Cousin recommended them from Columbia and he was right. They are straight shooters. If they keep the same attitude they will be my fuel vendor for a long time.

What I love the most is after a year or two of using them I called and placed my order. 2 days they said over the phone. I came home the next day to find and oil delivery slip on my door. I panicked and call right away I apologized for not leaving a check like usual but didn't expect them for at least another day. They responded by saying "Well bad weather is coming and in case we couldn't get to you, we didn't want you to run out! Don't worry. Just bring us a check when you can. We're not concerned we know where you live!" Like really?? Who does that nowadays? We love them. You won't be sorry.

Not only do I think this was inappropriate behavior for a employee but I didn't really need to join in their conversation.
