My husband and I stopped to get gas at the Huck's station in Paoli, Indiana. He swiped his debit…read morecard and then started to fill the tank but it would not work. After attempting again without success he went into the store to see if someone could help. When he got to the counter he asked the man working what he needed to do. The man became angry and told my husband that he had already stolen $30.00 worth of gas and the man stated that he had had over $1500 worth of gas stolen. My husband was stunned. He was merely asking for assistance. We had not stolen any gas. Why would my husband go in and ask for help if he was stealing gas? I don't even know how it would be possible to steal gas. You have two options - prepay or use your debit/credit card. The man was loud and angry. He accused my husband in front of everyone in the store. He was publicly humiliated for no reason. My husband had assumed that something might have been wrong with the pump since two of the other pumps had yellow bags covering the nozzles. He just wanted the man to help him or give him a heads up that maybe he had another pump that was out of order. The whole ordeal was upsetting and embarrassing. We will be getting our gas at Sunoco from now on.

Inside the store there is a huge selection of beverages and snacks, and also lots of different auto supplies. After you pay at the pump you have an option to add on a car wash. Or you can visit the car wash on its own. They also have vacuums for vacuuming out the interior of your vehicle.

Which might be illegal. Apparently that was crossing a line or something to want pain relief. Regardless this IS discriminatory and I WILL be writing a report with HR to see what I can do about this. They have all you would expect from a little convenience store, and a little more. Being so close to Patoka Lake, they have an extensive (for a gas station) selection of camping/fishing gear. Baby diapers, food for cook outs, charcoal, boat toilet paper and more await you. They also sell beer, though there is no cold beer. The outer pumps have pay-at-the-pump, pumps closer to the store do not. It takes a few moments for credit cards to get through, and tallys are done by hand, but when you are low on gas and the nearest gas station is 15+ minutes away, little things like that aren't the focus. -saeph
