There was plenty of room by the gas station pumps to get gas and was not overcrowded for being right off the interstate. The place where you actually put in your credit card is kind of high if you are vertically challenged. The only issue I actually even had was that it did not print a receipt outside. I walked in to ask for a receipt and told the clerk about it, but he seemed very dis-interested, and I had the feeling that he had no intention of going outside to try and actually fix the problem for other customers. Looked like it could be cleaned up on the outside as well as the inside, but it wasn't horrible.

Knowing that I had to go to the bathroom and needing to pay for my gas inside I asked the clerk where the bathroom was and she didn't even turn around as she had her back turned to me. All she said was "outside to your left". I thought that was kind of non-welcoming as a customer in a store. When I went to the unisex bathroom outside, I noticed that the bathroom was dirty. The toilet seat was up and it looked like someone had urinated right in front of the toilet. I seriously had to be very careful that I didn't step in it, as I was fearing the worst. Yuck! So as I went back out to my car I noticed a employee outside getting the trash. She came over and was kind of rude about why the machine did not work when I asked what was going on. Maybe I was just tired from being on the road too long but she seemed kind of short with me. She then proceeded to walk back into the store and come back with a receipt for zero dollars. One attendant in particular has gone as far as claiming his system was down and couldn't sell me gas once he saw I had a bag of returnables. After seeing several people frequent the store, go inside, come out with purchases, and pump gas, I returned and he told me the same thing. This time though as he was handing someone change at the register, and so wasn't even trying to be convincing. Today he asked me if all of my bottles were purchased there, and since I couldn't be sure, why I brought them in there to return.....as though I'm supposed to keep track of each and every beverage and where it came from when I'm spending every penny in their store and so I'm not taking money away that wasn't deposited there in the first place. Then when he said something in another language and I said "I'm sorry I didn't understand you", he said "of course cuz none of us speak English right?", as though in anyway I had insinuated such. I'm sick and tired of being discriminated against for doing my part to keep as much out of landfills as possible. Michigan's bottling deposit program is hugely successful in spite of assholes like this. Ladies room was clean and had 3 stalls instead of the single person bathroom lots of stations have. Wasn't crowded when we stopped, so we got in line to pay for gas, pumped it, went to the bathroom and left in just a few minutes. It's not a touristy gas station, no keychains or other location based knick knacks, but it is a solid gas station for a bathroom break which can be hard to find.
