Located in the shopping center just south of the Vons shopping center, on El Camino, is Sunrise Donuts. This is your old school donut shop, which also serves biscuits & gravy. Service with a smile. This donut shop has this fluffy, sweet, not oily, donuts. Usually, they have a good selection. Plenty of parking.

August 6, 2020. Dude & his daughters or ? No masks ! No brain, no pain? Masks are required by law in SLO County. It's a small place.

I love their donuts however they need to follow state & county requirements that state masks are required. This place is too small to distance and everyone has to stand at the register in same spot to pay. I told the cashier she is supposed to refuse service to non mask wearers without a bonifide health exemption. No reply. Geez. I don't appreciate the disregard for the majority of customers health.

So bummed. Out of biscuits and gravy at 11am on a Friday.

Soo bummed, out of the biscuits and gravy at 11 am on a Friday. One of my go to cheap and delicious around $2. Now that's a bargain. So I went with fresh donut.

LOVE their Biscuits and Gravy Only $1.95

I've never seen the entire glass case full of donuts, but what it has is always great.

The donuts were good and they open early. The folks running the place are nice too.

Their donuts are great (and best prices) but I REALLY love their croissants and biscuits & gravy.

I travel up here for work on occasion and it was a great place for me to purchase fresh donuts instead of the ones down in SLO specially if I wasn't down there already. Overall, The vibe here is more cozy but it is also in a busier location because of the location of the movie theater. I've driven by here hundreds of times but never realize that it was hiding in plain sight. All of my usual favorites are here. There's always a lot of the fancy looking donuts and my personal favorites are the creampuffs. These are probably one of the best creampuffs I've ever had. They're almost like larger donut holes with cream in there. They're just wonderful. I've always wanted to try some of the drinks that they have here but I've always only purchased the donuts and creampuffs here. The last time I was here, the team was very friendly and helpful and they were able to get me in and out of there in a matter of minutes. There is tons of parking here and it's plaza. if you get lucky, there are spots right outside on the street for easy access.

I needed roughly 5-10 mins to look over all of the options before making my selections. There is a front case with all of the specialty donuts and a whole back wall with the classics donuts. To say I was overwhelmed would be an understatement. As a group of 4 we decided to order several donuts to share. We ordered the blueberry cake, pecan pie raised, mashed potato raised, lavender with sprinkles raised, pumpkin cheesecake, espresso filled, pumpkin brûlée bites, and a jalapeño ham and cheese croissant. The donuts are very beautifully decorated and the time that was spent decorating them shows. The customer service was patient, kind and very helpful. Some of the funky donuts such as the mashed potato raised donut is actually vanilla flavored and thankfully the person helping us was patient enough to tell us all of the flavors. All of the donuts were delicious. No complaints what so ever. As for the prices, they were listed above and everything is a fair price for speciality donuts. Additionally, they offered a very generous 25% discount for military. Inside there were seating options surrounding a fire place, bar style seating, and some options outdoors.

It's an unfortunately typical Taco Bell experience every time. Over the past 3yrs or so I'd say…read morethere's something wrong/missing from my order 9/10x to the point I take it as a matter of course. Food will be almost slightly warm, provided you eat it within 2-3mins. I've tried eating in to see if that changed accuracy but no luck. But you do get that other traditional Taco Bell feature: the lingering stank of the always-mildewed mop heads they use (to be fair they are a huge pain to keep clean and dry and it just takes that one jerk employee leaving it wet and dirty...but still). Better to just sweep and spot mop than slather all the floors in stank. Aside from the lukewarm meat, constant errors, olfactory deterrence... oh yeah, they pull this move sometimes: you order online to pick up in-store and they'll mess up and think it's for pick up in the drive-thru so they hide the bag up by the steamers where you can't even see it. It's not unusual for orders to take a long time so at first you wait. Then try to ask someone. Good luck. Apparently the self ordering kiosks make employees even less likely to look at/acknowledge the customers so getting an employee to even make eye contact can be quite challenging. I was down in LA years ago and went to this random Taco Bell and it was surreal: the store was clean, didn't actively smell bad (sorta smelled like food actually), and the miracle of all miracles the food was hot. After another decade in SLO county I've yet to come close to repeating the experience. Point being good Taco Bell can be done. But it apparently requires some big confluence of planets and physics that's beyond my ability to grasp. They could at least remember the tomatoes occasionally. Once or twice, just to mix things up. Eating here is just a bummer. Best case scenario they don't mess up your semi-warm food and the store hasn't been mopped recently and you eat and get sorta full in that trademark unsatisfying sort of way. But only if you're lucky, and pay the 15-20 bucks fast food somehow costs now. Sometimes just not eating gets serious consideration. At least I never got a cockroach before but apparently that's a thing now too. Not at all surprising.
