The salon itself is nice and the woman working the front desk is wonderfully friendly, kind, and informative. My experience with Susie, however, was nothing short of awful. I originally scheduled for an all over color, cut, and style - something I've done at multiple salons, in multiple states, with multiple stylist over the last 20 years. I can say without question my experience with Susie was the absolute worst I have ever experience. She claims to have over 30 years experience with color and cut, but it seemed like she'd never applied color before. She was constantly flipping my hair this way and that way all over the place, laying it over my face, tangling my hair, ripping tangles apart. At one point she even 'accidentally' hit me in the face with the coloring brush! It took her an HOUR to get the all over color complete and then I had to sit an additional 30 minutes to process. I had color smeared all over my forehead and cheek and she just left it there! By this point I had had enough and told her once we rinsed the color I wanted to skip the haircut and just get dried. She responded by saying that I HAD to let her cut it because she had done a rough trim before the color and it wouldn't be even if I didn't let her do the haircut. At this point I did get a little aggressive because no one should ever tell a customer that they can not withdraw their consent! I very firmly told her I didn't care what it looked like I didn't want anything further than just getting rinsed and dried. Her shampooing and conditioning of my hair was very rough and agitated so I could tell she was upset that I wanted to leave. After being rinsed we went back to the chair where she proceeded to try to comb my hair with a pick... without using any product. No detangler, no leave in condition, no heat protection, NOTHING. It was at this point I just said Stop, we're done and got out of the chair. I checked out at the front desk and again the woman there was incredibly kind and understanding. She nodded along as I explained what happened and it seemed like this is a story she has heard before regarding Susie, she didn't seem in the least bit surprised by my experience. She also let me know currently a lot of stylists are on vacation but in a few months several other stylists would be available if I wanted to give the salon another try. Just based my front desk experience I would give the salon another try, but definitely want to avoid Susie at all costs! read more

For all the Ladies, be aware if you are going to Sunrise Salon, my stylist was LINDA, what a mess I got in my hair, paid premium price and I walked out of there with the most terrible hair color I ever got in my life, my hair was so freeze and just looked awful. I have been having my hair done by Linda for sometime. And, it's about time I send in my positive review. My feeling is you cannot get exactly what you want the first time. Linda is very professional and agreeable in making sure you get the cut you want. I have recommend her to others and they have been very happy. Honestly, when Linda was gone for half of year or longer it was very scary to stick with this shop. The other stylist was very good but I still wanted Linda. Made an appt for a cut and color. Rudest stylist ever. Kept blaming me for the appt being scheduled for color instead of foils. Suggested I go elsewhere. I live here in the Grand. Shame I can't shop local. Poor customer service skills. Shame because lay down about $250 to get my hair done. Guess they don't need the business. Response to business comment made: I would get it if it was a schedule mistake and you owned it. But that is NOT what occurred. I would have gladly rescheduled. It was 100% the rude stylist. First and last visit to this salon... thought I'd give it a go since I live in the immediate area. If only people would LISTEN rather than nodding their head as if they are paying attention, I may not have ended up with this terrible hair chop. I was set up with LINDA 'since she's been at the salon for a long time and you're a new client' thanks for nothing BARBARA - stop playing on your silly phone and pay attention to who's standing before you at the reception counter! As I explained to LINDA and provided her a photo of my current hairstyle, I have wavy hair and showed her how it grows at the nape of the neck -to which she nodded (like a bobble head) End result -uneven, long stragglers on both sides, too short and difficult to work with. Returned the next day (unstyled) to have the long hairs and bulkiness corrected only to be told that she couldn't see any problem however, she would have to layer it in order to eliminate the bulkiness that she created by pulling my hair as tight as she could to cut it! Seriously, this botch job cost me $50.00. IF you decide to risk your hair here, I hope you have a better stylist than I was given. read more

I usually don't write a review, but Ms.F., I totally agree with you, Linda cut my hair and it was terrible, the WORST haircut I ever had, i'm new to the area, so i tried Sunrise Salon but I would NOT ever go back, Receptionist is not attentive to the clients and what turned off also is that LINDA kept gossiping about some of her co-workers and that's very unprofessional. I gave a rave review for Ronnie the Hairstylist, but unfortunately, I have to retract it. The beginning was great, with excellent layering & it was easy to take care of my hair. Then I became an in-between coloring job, 30 minutes for a casual haircut at $ 60.00, no longer applying care in cutting my hair. I could get a better Haircut at any of the Chains & for a lot cheaper. I am very disappointed & will not ever return. read more

read first : ME: Had eyebrows done with permanent make up in April 2022 . Eyebrows not even, splotchy, crooked. Was told a fill in could be done because it should have been done better on first try. Was then told that because it is a free fill in, I could only have it done when she was there on Monday's doing permanent make .. not at my convenience. They are horrible. Darker in spots and light to no ink in I other places. Would not recommend. THEM : Response from the owner 4 hours ago Thanks for your feedback, we always touch up permanent make up after few weeks due to swelling, we are so sorry not to have you back to the salon to fix any uneven or spots that needed touch up. We understand your schedule didn't work with yours . Usually permanent make up needs 2 appointments . Sunrise salon management new from me: this is a blatant lie. When Brenda saw my brows a 2 weeks later , she said point blank that she should have done them better . she went on to say she would fix them but it had to be when she was already at salon with a permanent make up client ( a paying one ) already scheduled , that she wasn't coming in just for a free re-do. She did say my brows needed to heal more first .. I left several messages in the following weeks to schedule a re-do but got the run around. It NEVER was about my schedule not working with hers.
