Food was decent; nicer than usual selection compared to other lakeside restaurants. The waitlist system is terrible. We waited over an hour and watched us not progress on the waitlist. Went inside and asked how much longer when we could see empty tables. The younger hostess seemed clueless but another said she could seat us right away. Enjoyed Ahi tuna tacos and fish tacos.. rice was meh. It is VERY loud inside the restaurant. Forget about conversation. Our server was very nice and attentive. We've passed by many times on our boat but this was our first time dining. Would we go back?... possibly... read more

Great place with a great view. I had the Buffalo chicken wrap and it was delicious. The server was friendly and very helpful. Plus, they give you a bowl of popcorn when you sit down, you can't beat that! I highly recommend. read more

Great dinner and gorgeous view on one of the first Fall Nights of 2022! We visited here once in July and the air conditioning wasn't working on a 90+ degree day. Uncomfortable, and condensation from drinks everywhere. Too hot to be enjoyable - Anyway - glad we tried Sunset Grill again. The staff is very nice. If docking a boat, they have someone on the dock to help tie up the boat-a great convenience. They have live music which is also very nice. The Bloody Mary was good. The food is marginal earning the 2 stars. The Mediterranean flat bread is just that...flat. Essentially cheese bread with olives. The Mediterranean skewer is ridiculously overpriced-there are 2 pieces of chicken, 2 pieces of steak and 2 shrimp with peppers and onions for $27!!! They give you rice and a cup of soup or side salad. The skewer is also underwhelming- no seasoning at all. The rice is just rice. The ranch dressing on the salad was good. We ate here last year and loved it- not sure what happened. read more

Saw the good reviews and thought we'd give it a try. This place is somewhat hidden off grass lake road on bluff lake. It's a family type restaurant with a full bar. I was a bit skeptical at first. They seated us in the main room that overlooked the lake which was nice. Being a Saturday evening, with great summer weather the boating area was very busy. The restaurant was also filling up with boaters for the dinner hour. My husband ordered the salmon. It looked great. It was a nice thick piece topped with a lemony spinach and capers sauce over rice pilaf. He thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the brisket which I had ask for in a wrap instead of the sandwich or toco options. They happily accommodated my request. It was also delicious and came with a huge baked potato. We will likely be back but probably not on a weekend night. The noise level was the only negative for us. Very loud and difficult to hear each other. read more

Let me start by saying the food at Sunset is good and deserves a four star review. Unfortunately the crammed in tables and the service problems makes it fall down hard. Outside the tables are literally packed in so tight people can't get up from their seats without hitting other people's chairs and servers literally can't get through. It's hard to enjoy a meal when you are like sardines in a can. The other issue is the restaurant is way understaffed (which in today's COVID times is understandable) but the management should NOT seat customers they can't serve. We were seated thirty minutes before a waitress came to take our drink order (and that was after I asked for a server). They need to cut the tables by 1/3rd outside or expand the terrace (which would make a lot of sense and would be incredibly easy to do). Unfortunately our bad experience means we won't be going back. read more

We eat here frequently. Food and service is consistently exceptional. Great view of the lake and the tiki bay in the summer is amazing.

I'm over that top excited this place is the sister restaurant to The Grove and on the water! We're huge fans of the food at the Grove and now to take our boat to Sunset Grill- wow! The food is yummy and views are stunning! We'll certain to be coming here by boat more often now. The service can be a little slower and we understand. We enjoyed sitting out by the Tiki bar. We had a really weird experience. We sat down and sat for a while and then three different people (none of whom gave the impression they were waiters) came up and frantically asked if we had been helped. We ordered some waters and waited to put in our food order. When we got the water the person who brought them (wearing a headset, seemed like a manager) said that the "water has been tasting funny" so she "threw in some lemon wedges". Why would you say that? The water did taste bad. It made us all very disgusted and we did not want to eat at a place that washed their dishes and cooked their food in water that "tasted funny". Also why add lemon? It was uncomfortable and weird. Don't recommend. read more

Wow! An amazing menu and staff. We went by boat prepared for a wait but they exceeded expectations. The tacos, Cuban sandwich, and the steak trio were all amazing. All of the food we have tried here has been delicious! They even spoiled our dogs with bacon and sausage at Sunday brunch.

So glad to see this Bluff lake lakefront location thriving! Not fine dining but the food was very good! Bbq chicken flatbread pizza and bbq chicken wrap- my husband and I would have both again! My only complaints though are that it's very loud in the restaurant (no sound absorption) and the a/c doesn't work well so it was sweltering in there. The poor staff had sweat dripping from their foreheads. The outdoor tiki bar is nice though with live music. This spot has great potential but they just need to work on those 2 issues and they'll have a real gem. Who doesn't love a lakefront restaurant with good food? read more

Came by boat as the restaurant is right on Bluff Lake on the Chain. What a great place! 1st, they have several great deck hands to help you tie up to their nice docks. Dog friendly, bringing out ice water for my lab after he went swimming off the dock. Sat outside at the Tiki bar and had lunch. Great menu with a ton of variety. Reasonably priced and served promptly. Lunch was delicious. Time to leave and I ask either the owner or manager (not sure which) if they sell bag ice. She says no, but despite being very busy, she personally walks out two large tubs of ice to my boat. Wouldn't take any help or payment. Can't say enough about this place. I'll be a regular. Rusty PS. Went inside to check out the bar. Very nice. Large, clean, nice decor. Would be nice for a good evening out as well as a great informal lunch spot. read more

Tried this restaurant when it first opened. It was pretty bad. But I thought it was new and they were just getting the kinks out. Tried it again recently...still not good. I ordered a filet, medium and a baked potato. It was 5:30 in the afternoon and I was told they ran out of baked potatoes!! Got my meal, the steak was medium rare. The steamed broccoli tasted like it had been steamed in horrible well water and the steak was chewy and tough. I ordered a vodka on the rocks, it was delivered in a very tiny glass that was overflowing. At $10 a drink, please don't spill it all over me and the table. To top it all off, this place was SO unpleasantly loud my husband and I could barely hear each other. This place is a hard pass! Will not be back. read more
