The facility has a small kids play area and a big kids play area. It has a concession area that is open on game days. It has a baseball field with a special surface for disabled kids so that they can play baseball. One of the other great parts of the park is that it is all handicap accessible. If you're going to pick a park to take your kids to in Ankeny I recommend this one the most.

The park also features a pond with ducks. The ducks are fun to feed and the pond is good for fishing.

Away from the pond is a neat kids area that is designed like a tree fort. There are stairs hidden inside the tree and lots of things for the kids to do around the tree. Next to the kids play area is a shelter for parties and get togethers.

The reason I took a star off was because there is ZERO parking. There is a dirt spot on four mile that can maybe fit two cars but other then that there is not any parking. Basically the only access to the park is to live in the community and walk to it. It's not very accessible for people who don't live in the area around the park.

The park has a smaller play area for younger kids and a bigger play area for the bigger kids. One of the things this park has that most in Ankeny don't is a small splash pad area. It is pretty small but still has four little areas that shoot water up into the area for kids to run through. The shelter area at this park is very big and nice. It is one of the nicer shelter areas in Ankeny.

There is a bridge that connects the park to the trail and a pond on the opposite side of the trail that is good for walking around.
