They said hello to us when we came in and goodbye when we left, which I really appreciated! If you're relatively young and sort of odd, you know the type of looks you get from old folks at antique malls, but nothing super bad. Overall, a cool spot to check out. Not sure of the story. You can find diverse shops. Clothing, shoes, jewelry, hair accessories, sports, novelty, and a food court. We enjoyed walking in and out of different shops. We had fun in a vintage store with cool books. The Hot Topic store was a hit with the kids. They loved the Anime shirts!! When we got hungry, the food court saved us!! Overall, it's a decent mall. The arcade had machines down all over and mold in their claw machine, there are pictures/posters hung up around the mall with food and other nasty stuff on it, the smaller bathroom has 1 stall and is always dirty, the family restroom has a broken sink that hasn't been addressed, I could go on. In…read morefact I even worked there for a very very short time in 2005, when it was dirty and cluttered and they still sold hermit crabs out of glass tanks. The guy running it back then was completely scary. Things have changed a lot and all seemingly for the better. It's a very different store, still offbeat but a lot more like you expect from a mall store and less like a poorly run head shop. For me that's a positive. I know not everyone agrees. The staff has been extremely helpful and friendly on all of my visits in the past several years, and I've found some very fun & unique accessories and even a couple of home decor items, although my tastes don't run much to bohemian styles they do have quite a range. It is a fun place for gift shopping and they have some excellent sales from time to time, making for far better bargains than at slightly similar novelty shops in the mall.
