I love sunshine Chinese so much. It is my go-to local Chinese restaurant, I've been eating here for over 10 years and the quality has stayed consistent all this time. My personal favorites are the wonton soup, Mongolian beef, and crab rangoons. Sadly they only do carry out now, I miss eating in as the service was always excellent and the decor was fun and brings back childhood memories. They have gotten pricey in recent times, but so has everything else. You should definitely support this locally owned business if you love Chinese food! read more

Food here is really good. Not greasy, always made to order pretty fast. Lunch prices are extremely reasonable! I never pay more than $8 on a filling serving of food (Only reason I gave them 3 stars instead of 2 was because of how good the food is) My ONLY issue with them is how rude they treated me. I've ordered from them maybe 50+ times in the past 4 years. Up until this point I've never had an issue, never had to call & complain about anything. Today I ordered lunch through their website. They give the option to reorder what you had last time. (Which is what I did) I re ordered the Mongolian Chicken and in their notes section I had "no egg" from the last time because I am highly allergic. Well today when I arrived back at work (picked it up to catch some rays on this beautiful day) I realize my rice has egg in it. I called to let the guy know that there was egg in my rice. He immediately begins to get defensive, yelling at me. Telling me that I'm wrong on my end because in his notes it doesn't say no egg. He demanded that I bring my meal back if I wanted a new one. You can not go wrong coming here. The service is always great. The owners are friendly and patient. They have no problem answering any questions you have and making sure your order is correct. The food is always hot & fresh, never oily and the flavors are spot on. I've had a variety of dishes here but my favorite is their fried rice & the classic General Tao's Chicken. After reading reviews I decided to place a delivery order and give it a try. We ordered chicken wings, house fried rice, and moo shu beef with lo mein. Order was placed around 5:30 and the delivery estimate was an hour... it arrived at our house in 20 minutes! Food was piping hot, included all the sauces we could want and fortune cookies. Forgot how delicious this place is! I used to live in Alpharetta and would visit Sunshine very frequently. Well today after enjoying delicious steamed broccoli cooked to perfection it was bright green w/ the perfect amount of crunch and then my FRESH veggie fried rice reminded me why I was so fond of the restaurant. Prices are amazing and always friendly service! This is a gem. Oh and when I say fresh I mean the green peas in the rice aren't freezer burned like most Chinese restaurants Ive visited, usually so bad I typically end up picking them out but in the words of a kid promised dessert for eating her veggies "I ate them all gone"! PF Changs and Panda Express hasn't got anything on Sunshine II. Went here for lunch, and I got their Mongolian Chicken and Sesame Chicken. I think this place is great when it comes to Americanized Chinese food, because my mother, the ever picky eater when it comes to American Chinese, actually likes their food. To start off this was my first time ordering from Sunshine Chinese, my boyfriend and i wanted to try someplace new and closer to our house. we ordered for pick up (due to living outside their delivery range) of sesame chicken, teriyaki chicken and chicken chow mien. We started unpacking the food at home and i realized they did not give us our chow mien noodles but a watery chicken dish that smelled like too much garlic. My BF called and informed them they had given us the the wrong dish, but apparently at this establishment chow mien just has crispy noodles on top of a watery chicken dish. i was dumbfounded, every other Chinese place in the area chow mien is thin lo mien noodles (that are slightly crispy). to add, no where on their website does it note that there are actually no noodles in their version of chow mien. Other than that the rest was standard Chinese take out fare, with the exception on the teriyaki chicken having a very watery sauce. read more

The General's Chicken is good and the wife always gets the Pork Egg Foo Young. Each entree is big enough for two good sized meals, so we always have good leftovers the next day. It was late and most restaurants were closed. Due to some back issues I can't stand long enough to cook a meal, so I resorted to the Chinese restaurant near my home. Ben answered the phone and patiently answered my questions regarding some of their menu items. Ben was friendly, knowledgeable, and eager to help. He suggested the Sesame Chicken. I love vegetables but the dish doesn't come with veggies. I asked whether Ben would add broccoli to my sesame chicken. He cheerfully agreed to do so. When I arrived (5 minutes prior to closing), I was greeted by Ben and another young man. My food was ready and piping hot. I have NEVER before been SO SATISFIED with a Chinese meal as I was with the Sesame Chicken. The food was fresh fresh fresh, the veggies cooked just right with just enough crispness to them, and the sauce ( ohhhhh that scrumptious sauce...) didn't include cornstarch. Rather it was light, with a hint of sweetness and citrus deliciousness. I literally scarfed it down! Well done, team! Thank you Ben! Growing up this was the go-to Chinese restaurant to order delivery from. Now that I am older I understand that this is a solid choice for generic American-style Chinese food. The food will not blow you away, as it will not be anything you haven't had before. But it will also not disappoint you, and you won't find yourself opening up a box and going "The heck is this?" It is a safe, reliable choice for Chinese food, especially if you are in their delivery zone. I have never dined-in or picked up an order so I cannot speak as to how that experience is, but I can confirm that Sunshine delivers at a reasonable pace. Two of us got the Family Dinner for Two last night - to go. It was great because while the standard dishes that come with the deal are Mongolian Beef and Sweet and Sour Pork, they allow substitutions (may be an extra charge for some entree substitutions). Also got Egg Drop Soup instead of the standard deal Sizzling Rice Soup with no problem. The family dinner comes with 2 entrees, 2 individual steamed rice boxes, 1 quart of soup, 2 egg rolls, and 2 crab rangoons for around $20. Can't beat that - plenty of food and generous portions (eating leftovers today). I got the Orange Chicken and my friend got the Kung Pao Shrimp. Both were really tasty and the soup was not too salty. Definitely good food (I think I like it better than PF Chang's and what we got would have cost $45+ at Chang's!!) Very pleased and will definitely try this place out again! read more
