Unlike many vendors who stop caring after the initial installation, Excellence Awning answered right away and came out promptly to assess the issue. They were honest, efficient, and solutions-oriented. Instead of pushing an unnecessary full replacement, they clearly explained my options, either replacing just one panel of the awning or choosing to replace the entire awning and recommended the most cost-effective solution. He was very reasonably priced and came and completed the job today (Wednesday). He was working alone and the screens look amazing. Some of the recent bad reviews were in the height of Covid and maybe Jerry was having a hard time finding proper help. We hired Jerry to remove and clean all window screens, interior and exterior glass, and clean all window and door tracks. The cleaning crew Jerry sent to us really did not perform like this was their profession, but rather something they did on the side to make extra money when there was an occasional job. After finishing in two days, many window panels are still smudged, the screens look blotchy (because of something they sprayed on them unevenly), window tracks were left uncleaned or vacuumed, and the screen clips securing most exterior screens are left loose or dangling. We are just going to correct these issues ourselves rather than to ask someone to return that likely lacked the interest or skills to do it right to begin with. We also had a sliding screen replaced, which Jerry seemed to struggle getting right. He would keep asking my husband to check it, and it would either fall off or was crooked. After 4 or five attempts and re-checks, it seems to be staying in place, for now Not very confidence inspiring. Like the other reviews stated, Jerry seems like a nice guy. He has some serious quality control issues to deal with before some bad word-of-mouth advertising eventually catches up with him. Next time I'll read the Yelp reviews before acting on a 3 year old word-of-mouth referral. Unfortunately, we did not know the company was under new ownership until after we had a bad experience.

I get a call one day, from a guy telling me he's on my way to my house to drop off the supplies. No heads up, no hey we're going to send someone out to you to drop off supplies. Then nothing. I had to call my sales guy and ask him what was up. He had me call the installers to find out when they were going to do the job. I call the installers and they told me there was issues with getting the permits, yet again no communication to me. He also said it would be easier for them if I were to go and get the permits myself. If you don't want to do the job, don't take the job. Would not recommend this company at all. And the only reason why they're getting one star, it's the only way I can post a review. They would get negative stars from me.
