We stayed here we were with the Elvis group so when we got here we were running late and the girl called me at ten till and asked if we were still coming and we said yes and sh asked how soon would we be there and I said 4minLol and she said oh my we will be ready for you well we checked in and we new the Elvis show doors open at 6 and we wanted to get something to eat first so we just put on suitcase on the holder and edge of bed and put our bottles of pop in the d Fridge so it would be cold when we got back and used the bathroom for the first time we were shocked to see a used bathroom roll and the was green stuff coming out of one of the bottles hanging in the bathroom and it was stuck to the bottom of the tub and the real shocker was a towel left behind the door dirty so now we're getting scared was someone in the room or was it just not cleaned and we looking at the bed trying to decide do we want to hope it was cleaned sheets or not so we went down to complaine at 12:30Am and he's manager Keri hall who said she didn't understand how this could happen we argued I told her this was not except able and we wanted another room but we hadn't used this one we stopped at McDonald's across the street and now he can't eat his sandwich inthis room all our things were in here and we just couldn't set things on the table or bed so he talked to Keri I just wanted to get another room but I wasn't going to pay for it this was 1:30am the check out time is 11am that was 91/2 hours left and sh wanted to charge us half price again we didn't do anything wrong but said yes to the Elvis group and booke a room here it is 2:15 am were tired and hungry and to upset to sleep or shower this room is still showing that they don't put clean rolls on the toilet paper three were people ahead of us who said they needed more TP in there room too you only get what was left on the rolls!!'lol So I'm putting up our pictures but really this is not except able and that I would put this on facebook and Yelp read more

Start with the 0 roach policy no roaches allowed or any other bugs, snatch ALL carpets up, they smell like bad decisions and mold....

This hotel is for those who can't afford something better. Check in was fine. The lobby and elevator had old and dirty carpets as did the hallways. The room was very dated with sticky and dirty floors. The bathroom was a real enjoy, the toilet paper holder only had one part. (PIC) The body wash, shampoo and lotion dispensers were all empty. The toilet paper roll was 3/4 gone. They finally has some Hispanics to fix the holder. They didn't bother to clean up the mess they left, that's when we found the numerous long black hairs. (PIC) The only chair was extremely stained. (PIC) We had to get a new roon key numerous times major headache. Supposedly they were renovating the 3rd floor, being on the 2nd floor (217) it WASN'T really nice to listen to banging until after 9 pm. The telephone had no cord. I couldn't just exchange towels with the housekeeper as she didn't speak or understand English but she did bring a whole new set of towels. The breakfast was sad, just cereal byt good coffee.. The outside of the hotel has lots of garbage and cigarette butts and weeds. The parking lot had a large pot hole in it. Some interesting guests made it a bit sketchy. The room had a decent bed. The mini frig and microwave were nice. The staff was OK not exactly welcoming. We learned a valuable lesson to spend more for a better experience. We wouldn't recommend this hotel. read more

As others have mentioned, there is a deposit that they don't tell you about until check-in. And they definitely did not return it when we checked out. My 17-year-old son and I had a super creepy experience early morning, July 20 at 1:30 AM. I awoke to clicking noises at our door and then I realized it was somebody trying to slip a key into the door lock to get in. I heard it again within a couple minutes and jumped up and ran to the door. And could see a large man and a couple women out side my door trying to get in. A man was turned sideways so I couldn't see his full face. I told him they had the wrong room through the door and they were silent and started knocking and the man demanded my last name in a deep flat toned voice. This was a complete stranger that didn't identify himself, and I didn't know what the heck was going on. I kept telling him he had the wrong room and he demanding my last name. At that point, I knew these weren't drunk people with the wrong room that they were actually trying to get in this room. I said I was going to call the police and he replied, "I work here." He didn't once stand away from the door to show me a badge and stayed with his shoulder to the door. You really can't see a big wide depth of the hallway to know if more people are there. I finally gave him my name and he asked, "When did you checked in." He then walked away with the two women. I called the front desk to notify them that someone was trying to key in my door. He answered the phone and said in the same flat deep tone, "That was me. You have the wrong key. I'll stick the other woman in a different room." He never apologized or made me feel at ease. We tried to go to sleep, but I really felt like leaving the hotel and didn't know what we were going to do at 1:30 in the morning besides sleep in our car somewhere else. Neither of us could go to sleep until after 3 o'clock and slept so uneasy for the rest of the night hearing every sound in the wall and hall. I always check the door to make sure the deadbolt is on and it might've been why he couldn't get in. I notified the front desk when we left first thing in the morning. The young man looked pretty surprised and wrote some notes. That was all. Maybe it was a mixup on their part of where to put people. But I've never had a worst hotel experience in my life and would recommend somewhere else. Rating experience -100. read more

Trash hotel! Disgusting, uncomfortable, and inconvenient. The card key did not work. The rooms smelled like vomit. I showed up with a group of about 12 people and the front desk mentioned that we couldn't all come down together at the same time for complimentary breakfast. I understand that we are a big group that may have other guests staying feel overwhelmed and uncomfortable but for them to tell us to come down little by little to eat is rude. One of the rooms they gave us still had a open wine bottle and soda cans on the floor. It was truly our fault for choosing super 8 to begin with but our options were limited due to some personal difficulties with our stay in Chicago. read more

A mistake was made in the reservation with the requested bed size at Super 8 by Wyndham Bridgeview/Chicago. Upon arrival we explained things to "Adam Niemiec" at the front desk and he immediately stepped in and resolved our issue and insured we were happy with the room. "Adam" was very friendly, courteous, and professional when dealing with us and insured we remained a continued customer. It's nice to be valued as a consumer and repeat customer and it's customer service like that that keeps us as loyal customers to the Wyndham brand. Thanks again "Adam" for your assistance. read more

Room is decent. Whoever gets room 211 is in for a surprise The toilet refills itself every few minutes because of a leak and that makes the shower water jump to extremely hot and cold. Also the hot and cold are switched around. read more

I really hated staying here. I felt so itchy sleeping on their beds. I checked for bedbugs or any sort of bugs but there wasn't. I don't know why I got so itchy here. I checked in late a night. They were very accommodating. The housekeeping here were very nice. They gave us extra towels and extra things we needed during our stay. The room we got was very stuffy and crowded. We were 2 adults and 2 kids. It was hard to move around. I left the AC on to improve air quality. The room lighting sucked. The only lighting they had was from lamps with yellow lighting. The shower water pressure was low so it was hard to take an shower when only a small flow of water. Overall, for the price I paid it wasn't worth it. Stayed for 3 nights. They refuse to give you the room and refuse to give you a refund even though you didn't know about the deposit. Booked a 2 bed room 5 months prior to checking in. We were given a 1 bed room and they refused to put us in the correct room. The front desk agent, Ernie told me I was a "very terrible person" for suggesting they move us to the right room because "why would they'd ruin someone else's weekend for me?" We cancelled our reservation and the cancellation email confirmed it would be zero to cancel but our account was charged for the $253.65. The whole hotel smelled awful of weed. We stayed at the Super 8 Bridgeview because of it's close proximity to MDW due to a late night arrival. Our experience was negative over all with some definite mis-steps. I booked the room through Booking.com and all correspondence from Booking.com showed my correct information: name, email, phone #. When we arrived at the hotel at 1:15 AM, we were told we did not have a room reservation through them. I pulled up the confirmation information from Booking.com and provided them with the confirmation #, but the front desk attendant was still unable to find our reservation. 20 minutes of him trying to find us, he realizes that the reservation was canceled due to my credit card being declined. I checked that my card was in good working order and the attendant said my reservation was under Serlina Townsend, not Serianna Townsend. I explained the reason why my card was declined was because they tried to charge it under the incorrect name, not because of lack of funds. The attendant explained the reservation was still canceled due to this and he was unable to give us King bed room we booked. They were able to give us a double room with two, double beds but I was frustrated that through no fault of my own, we were not getting the room I booked months in advance. With the time it took to get this all figured out, we got our room keys close to 2 AM so I requested if we could do a late check out. The attendant told us they do NOT do late check out and even with the 45 min to straighten out our reservation, we would need to be out by 11 AM. The Hotel itself is very dated, more so than the pictures reveal. The majority of the hotel had foam drop ceiling tiles and the carpet was worn and dated. The furnishings in the room were new (bed spread, picture of Chicago) but the carpet was worn, the ceiling popcorn, and the room had a musty smell. The ice I got from the ice machine had debris in it. After the experience, I wish I would have paid an extra $50 and stayed else where. read more

In town for a funeral so we decided to stay close to MDW. Hotel is about 20 minutes from the airport by cab $25. Initially it looked like a truck rest stop. The lobby is small but clean. We had a non-smoking room however it smelled of smoke room had no iron board and very small. NOTE Do not take a room facing the road the traffic noise is terrible. Overall it fit the bill but would rather spend additional $20-30 per night for another hotel option. read more

Our experience was wonderful. The people really made our stay that much more enjoyable. They were very generous with their supplies -- plenty of towels/cups/bathroom soaps in the rooms, breakfast foods, plates/utensils, room keys (some places charge a deposit per key), and their time to help each guest. 1) EVERYONE was friendly and greeted us with great customer service. Very professional and gave us a laugh each time we chatted at the check in/out desk. 2) It's an older building and it's a budget place to stay, so we understood the rooms weren't going to be 5 star, but it more than surpassed our expectations. As far as we could tell, everything was clean. No hairs, no stains, no odd smells. They tired very hard to make the rooms as clean as can be. The pillows were really soft. They had that memory foam/gel feel to it. Mattress had extra padding for plushness. The bathroom was quite spacious. 3) 1st night. We mentioned we were going to leave at around 5:30 am. Breakfast was typically at 6 am. The staff went out of their way to set up breakfast at 5:00 am. We really appreciated that level of consideration and care. We also locked ourselves out and they were very quick to give us an extra key. 4) 2nd night. *Different room* Our room key kept not working. Front desk was always very quick to reprogram our key. Very apologetic and willing to help. This room as a bit smaller, but the AC/Heat unit was newer and quieter. Cleanliness was same as above. Bath towels were softer in this room. Bed, pillows, sheets, and blankets were the same as the first room. 5) We brought back a lot of take out food and slept it quite late for our final check out. The breakfast area in the main lobby was closed. The chairs had been put up, but we needed a place to sit and eat after check out. The staff was kind and understanding. They brought plates, napkins, and plastic ware just for us. The Super 8 team was amazing and seemed to work really well together! Even though it's a bit further from the city, for the price and service, we would be so happy to come back here for our stay! read more

Super 8 was a good choice. we stayed here, because the price was good, but we were pleasantly surprised at how nice everything was. The earth tone colors gave the room a relaxing feel. The shower head was good. Continental breakfast is what you would expect...cereal, toast, yogurt, bagels, waffles, coffee, juice. The man at the breakfast area (I'm assuming, the manager?) was continuously brewing fresh coffee and restocking the food. We aren't really picky with motels (as ling as they are CLEAN). Overall, we were quite pleased with our stay & will stay here again if we're in the area again. read more

Usually, we have to spend upwards of $125.00 - $160.00 a night in order to find a place that is clean enough so that I don't have an asthma attack. They're very rude and lie to their customers. The manager Debra is the rudest hotel manager I have ever encountered and I would not recommend anyone to book with them. They put us in a handicap room even though none of us are handicapped and it's also right in front of the front door so there was no privacy offered at all. When we asked to be switched to another room, she refused and lied and said that Hotwire chose the room but Hotwire specifically stated that the hotel chooses the room. When I asked for a copy of our reservation paperwork, she denied me and told me that the paperwork was confidential and that she couldn't give us OUR OWN paperwork. The room needed cleaning and smelled funny. The staff under her care are under trained and she was also trying to handle other business in the middle of checking us in which made the process longer than it needed to be while carrying our luggage. I have had two experiences that will definitely make me not return to this place. I was charged 150 for a holding fee on the room. Understandable. But then I noticed that the money was not returned to me. Had to call and have them correct this issue as I don't smoke or didn't ruin the room- so there was no reason for my money to not be returned promptly. Fast forward- returned to this same location- only to see now that I was double charged for the room and also that holding fee (originally got a deal online not through the actual hotel). When i called to speak to a manager, Debra?? she was talking while I was talking and saying she didn't see extra charges- but I'm looking at my bank account and I'm seeing the additional charges from that location- Apparently she or someone in that office saw the charges and have since put them back after the phone call I made. If you stay here make sure you aren't over charged and you are refunded accordingly. Rooms are decent but pay attention to your charges! read more

If I could give this place 0 stars I most definitely would. I went there for 2 nights with my boyfriend to spend his birthday with him. It seemed like it would be a great experience but all we had was problems since we got there. LITERALLY. The first lady at the front desk when we got there was actually one of the only workers there that was really nice to us and very friendly. But we had left to go get food before we checked in and left our bags and she watched them for us. When we came back there was a guy at the front desk. We checked in with him and he seemed rude, he wouldn't make no type of eye contact with either of us and told us we had to pay a fee that they would refund back to us if the room wasn't damaged and stuff. That's fine but we weren't informed of that at all when booking our room. And when we tried asking about it he would not properly answer our question he just kept saying the same thing. So when we're finally at our room the toilet kept getting clogged no matter what and the fan you use for the steam in the bathroom only blew out hot ass air and it's not supposed to do that. some rooms they would blow no air at all out, I know this cause we had knew someone that was staying there. there was no maintenance guy at the moment, so the nice lady at the front desk had provided us a plunger and was helpful with the situation and the maintenance guy was supposed to come later. He never did. There was also a bug in the bed. When it came time for us to check out there was a lady at the front desk , Keri or something like that. Blonde lady. Now she was very rude for no reason. We tried to tell her about our situation with the bathroom and stuff and she tried telling us that we needed to talk to the maintenance basically but how ? We told her we tried to do that but they weren't here and all they could do was give us a plunger. We shouldn't have to do all that ourselves. She also wouldn't even let my boyfriend talk to her about it just cause the reservation was under my name but he paid for it! She kept sending him off very rudely saying to step out of the building while she talks to me. Keep in mind she wouldn't even look at us either. She also wasn't doing that to nobody else that was checking out. She didn't even ask for the key cards when checking out , that's how much she was brushing us off. If you couldn't talk to him cause the room wasn't under his name then all you had to do was say that, a simple "can I please talk to her cause the room is under her name" would have done, you don't need to be extra telling him to leave the building when he stayed there too! I will not come back for sure! First off, this Motel is located in a very shady area. For the entire time I stayed at this hotel, I never saw the staff people smile at their customers. They just simply answer when you ask, if you don't ask anything, they just ignore you as a bug or something. The room is smelly and the carpet is disgusting. I found at least three chewing gum residues which turned into a black hard stuffs on the carpet. The carpet itself feels sticky. Furniture are old and some of them are not sturdy. The bed is ok but the blanket is old and you will see how old it is when you turn it over. The bathroom is quite small and the bathtub faucet is about to fall off from the wall when you touch it. The water turns hot very quickly. Towels are old and some of them turn yellow. The most annoying thing is the wall is too, too thin that you can hear almost anything that happens in the next room. You will hear other people conversations, toilet flushes, faucet turnings from the next room. If you are lucky you can even hear them moan when they have sex. Well it is cheap and close to where I want to go to the next day, but I regret choosing this motel. I would pay $20 or $30 more and stay at another place rather than this motel. Oh, if you really want to have breakfast don't bother to try their free breakfast with oak meal and cereals. Just cross the street and get McDonald's, but it's too ghetto!! Older hotel, but it was perfect for staying overnight before a flight out of Midway the next morning. Staff were helpful and brought a small playpen up for our two-year-old to sleep in. Small room and beds, didn't hear much noise from neighboring rooms, or much pluming noise. Free wi-fi worked great. Smaller continental breakfast from what we saw; we had to check out to make our flight before it officially was available. Place was clean and didn't smell bad at all. Somewhat older Hotel, but a good deal, not too far from downtown Chicago. Just beware that Rush hour usually starts around 3pm and ends at about 7, meaning, it will take you about an hour to drive back to this hotel. Under normal circumstances, about 20 minutes. Neighborhood seemed decent enough. Hotel Staff seemed friendly, and the hotel, although older, seems to be kept up very well. The Cleaning Staff were very nice, and the hotel was cleaner than many I had stayed in. It was a bit of an inconvenience, staying away from the city, but we saved about 75.00 a night by doing so, giving us more money to spend in the downtown. This was probably the first place I've ever stayed at where the so called "Free Wifi" actually worked well. The breakfast was also free, and saved us on a meal every day. The choices were somewhat limited, but again, for free, you cant ask for much. If i couldn't get a great deal downtown, I would easily stay here again. read more
