My 12 year old was in heaven. He could climb, swing, jump, crawl, and propel himself all under the watchful eye of the wonderful souls in the red shirts. He was perfectly harnessed and they were very explicit in their safety rules. I was able to observe him from the ground in a comfy Adirondack chair with other parents. Some read books, others enjoyed the sunshine. It was a really positive experience. They have a small snack bar which was helpful. It really is a wonderful ropes/obstacle course. They have an inflatable park, but he never made it there since he was having a great time. We will definately go back!

There were a lot of shade options around and seating that seemed permanent to the park, which is rare at festivals. One of the better parts of the experience was the transit. Getting there via ferry was quick (once I figured out which pier was the right one). Leaving the venue was even better. They had trains lined up and ready to go. As fast as one could fill up, the next one was there and ready to fill up as well. I was at the front of main stage for that headliner, and from there to getting off of my main metro stop back in Old Montreal was no more than 20 minutes. There was barely a queue presumably because the price point was pretty high for just three rotations over twenty minutes. We decided to splurge since the nearby observation towers didn't appeal to us. The towers were targeted to families with kids. By contrast, the private cabin provided nice panoramic views primarily of the Old Port and the St Lawrence River (Photo 7). We subsequently secured better views from Kondiaronk Belvedere on top of Mount Royal. That's because the wheel reaches a height of just 200 feet. Spent several hours at Funtropolis to let my kids run wild with limited restrictions, and they had…read moreso much fun! One of their favorite activities here was shooting foamy balls at people. Even adults enjoyed this, although I got shot in the face at some point. They require shoes to be removed, so make sure you let younger kids go bare feet or wear grippy socks, since some areas can get slippery. My kids and I also enjoyed the slides and some arcade games, although the claw machines are kind of cheesy. Either way, this is a great choice if you want to let your kids go crazy and if you wish to release your inner child!

It does the job for a young child, so 5 stars it gets! Well my son visited this place when he was 2 and he's now almost 4 and he loved it even more the second time around! We spent I kid you not a good 5 hours here! This place isn't really a museum. It's not "educational" in the traditional sense although kids can learn by doing all sorts of things. The kids can go inside a fire truck, police car, rocket ship, weird cave, grocery store, school room, pet clinic, airplane, and there's a karaoke stage. Some useful tips here would be to 1) go with 2+ kids unless you want your kid begging you to cram into a rocket ship with him. It's always fun to spend time with your child but your child really wants to play and so you'll need to bring a play buddy. 2) bring snacks and water! They do NOT sell food but if you plan on staying longer than an hour or two, you might as well bring something to eat. They have a couple of sticky (yuck but whatever) picnic tables you can eat at in the front of the venue. Not amazing but gets the job done. Of course, you can always sneak in some food inside the venue but it isn't allowed. 3) Every hour they have a "show" which consists of weird acting done by French teenagers on the boat downstairs. As another yelper said, I could have gone without it. BUT, the icing on the cake is that during this show, everyone congregates downstairs and you get the whole place to yourself :) There's a lot of parking as it's not downtown, it's in Laval. Bathrooms were pretty clean which is a plus. Oh, and I went on a weekday I wouldn't dare go here on a weekend.

It's at a great location at the Old Port. It's effectively a large warehouse space with the labyrinth being made up of metal frames with vinyl barriers. You need to go to four station where you have your card punched before you can try and find the exit, with each station offering a bit of history of the city. We had purchased the MTL pass which gave us a choice of dozens of options to redeem (you need to look that up if visiting the city!). This hadn't been our first choice as we wanted to do a boat tour, but with that no working out, we found this. It wasn't the most elaborate or impressive thing, but it did still take a good hour to get through and the three kids with us (aged between 8-12) really enjoyed it. I didn't look up the prices, but it was a 'pink' activity from our pass which would've been about a $15 cost, and that was fair. I'd recommend it mostly just for those with kids, but with that in mind and it being in a great location, it's a good family option.

I've actually helped to throw a gorgeous wedding here in the heritage buildings a number of years ago, it was challenging but so memorable and I'd highly recommend it if you're willing to do the work and deal with the constraints of the space (when they reopen). But winter here is my favourite. We love to come here cross-country skiing as a family, being on these huge trails and wild edges of the island. It's always breezy here in the summer, even hot days are soothing, the waves are wild and you just feel a release from the heaviness of the city. All the more appreciated during these crazy times.

Get ur tack shoes on and go try it out.. please make sure you don't try the the obstacles alone.. they can be dangerous.
