The ground, except the edges, is made out of a spongy water resistant foam so it's fairly safe for the kiddos to run around barefoot. Only reasons it gets 4 stars instead of 5 are because: some of the structures were elusive, even to me, as to how to get them spraying water; and because the foam, although great in concept, was dug out severely in one area (see photo) and tons of lil foam-ish balls were literally everywhere (choking hazard for small children, falling hazard for all kids). So: supervision required and necessary. But a great way to entertain childers for hours on a sunny hot day!

You're rewarded with a beautiful scenic view as you're spending time on a mountain slope over-viewing nature. This is even more apparent since I came here on a beautiful sunny day and even enjoyed myself even when I waited in line to do the rides. Sure, the wait can be 15-20 minutes long but that's part of the game. I simply couldn't help myself and wanted to look at the beautiful horizon as I passed the time. The lobby area consists of a huge ski lodge where you can change and in the winter, keep warm. Yes, this slope is also used to ski. The park itself has about 20 slides of various levels of difficulty. There's traditional attractions like the pool with waves, the lazy river and the such. I really liked "the manic" which is a lazy river for advanced people who get to pushed down stream by waves, sometimes so big you can be tossed into the water. The cascades was also another favorite of mine. There's a big section for small children, so parent/child can keep themselves busy. A few tips : - I would suggest coming during the weekday as it gets quite busy during weekends, it was still quite busy even though we went on a Wednesday. - Buy your tickets online the day before, the money you save it quite notable. - Get some water shoes, walking barefoot for hours on asphalt wasn't the most exciting experience.

(They do have a few bars on site but don't know the prices) Bathrooms are hidden behind the locker room shack FYI AQUALOOPS .... Do you have nerves of steel? Ready to take on G-force speeds? The cabin door shuts and you feel a rush of excitement. 3, 2, 1...The trap door suddenly swings open and gravity pulls you down at over 60 km/h! In less than 2 seconds, you go from 0 to 2.5Gs. How's that for fast? You won't even have time to scream and the next second you're laying down at the bottom of the slide confused as ever. Amazing ! KONGO EXPEDITION .... An old legend has it that there is a mystery at the end of this wave river. What could it be? Jump on a giant inner tube and let the waves transport you through an unexplored world. Deserted islands, flooded caves and raging waterfalls await during this thrilling adventure! Watch out for the exotic animals, reptiles and sneaky primates along the way! Best 15 minutes i spent on a ride all day. TURBO LAB .... i went down the acid test which was a tube for two people that spins and spins around once you get to the middle you go down a little slide and in to a pool. CALYPSO PALCE ..... Canada's largest wave pool ! Waves reach up to 1.8 meters high when you go all the way to the front. You will hear a sound go off and people will start screaming meaning the waves are about to start. There is smoking sections on site and yes you can now go topless for those of you who have been following the news and no I did not see anyone topless lol. I went to the bathroom, and was greeted by a used tampon on the floor. The staff closed the bathroom to 'clean' it, but when it re opened, it still looked disgusting., and nothing but bandaids are floating in that wave pool. The only life guards that seemed to REALLY pay attention were the ones at the wave pool. The other life guards didn't bat their eye at a lot of dangerous actively. Now would I come back to this park, maybe. If I did, I would probably keep gloves and a hazmat suit on me when entering the bathroom.

Most recently, we were enjoying a lovely and peaceful Sunday morning stroll and picnic breakfast when the stillness was shattered by a woman (purportedly teaching some sort of class) braying like a jackass and screaming at the top of her lungs, disturbing other users and the many wonderful ducks which, ultimately, took flight at all the commotion. This place was PERFECT The trails are well kept, some picnic tables/area at the edges but most of the walk is lovely, filled with people but yet feels not crowded, great views to the river, lots of birds and lots of dogs (I love places like this). There were talks about renting out more ice skates for the rest of us but decided not to. So should I assume that the building that's next to the ice rink have rental skates? Maybe, not sure. But there were seats as well as orange seals that we used to help the little one get her balance and push around the rink. What's really great is the rink is free but make sure to check the daily schedule as there are specific times when it's free to the public and then there are either hockey practices or other things that are happening throughout the day. So make sure you check the website: https://montreal.ca/lieux/patinoire-bleu-blanc-bouge-du-parc-willibrord Aside from that, there's a playground as well so if you don't want to skate, the little ones can play in the park. If there's enough snow or ice, there's also a man made rink that's on the other side of the rink that's there. But this time around it was too warm so no man made rink this time. Otherwise, what a lovely place to be able to do some skating! Makes you want to buy your own skates if you're in the area to take advantage of it.

If you do have kids note that this park has the water park thats perfect for hot summer days. There's water fountain as well so don't worry you'll be fine out there. The riverside parks and Verdun and LaSalle have been packed solid the past few days because of the warm weather. Runners, joggers, bikers, strollers, families doing BBQ and picnics, kids, couples, guys hanging out downing a couple of brewskis together, they've all been here in droves. I've seen very, very few people keeping the social distance rules or wearing the required masks. I don't think people seem to understand the gravity of this pandemic and are just treating the warm days as some kind of vacation holiday. I don't mean to be a killjoy but Quebec is the epicentre of the Canadian pandemic. Think about it, People.
