Cheese burger with a side of onion rings
    Tim E.

So it was cheeseburger week and I thought I ate here before but apparently it was my first time. I got the combo and chose the onion rings and it was probably the best onion rings I've had in a very long time. I've been on the hunt for good tasting onion rings and I've finally found it. The burger was alright but the onion rings were really good. The fries were tasty too but the winner was the onion rings. Everyone at the bench agreed that the rings were good and should've chosen that over the fries. You can get a refill of Soda for $0.50. Parking is only street parking but it's abundant so you're good for parking spaces. Outdoor seating with a couple of round benches and two seaters to sit on. Not sure if you can call in for an order but it's fairly quick.

This is a solid, high-quality burger stop. The bun was toasted perfectly and the patty had excellent flavor, it's exactly what you're looking for if you want an elevated burger stand. I loved seeing the owners behind the counter. Great retro vibe. Highly recommended!

What We Ordered: -Cheeseburger Combo $14.45 -Pastrami Cheeseburger $14.95 -Teriyaki Chicken with Rice and Veggies $16.95 -Chili Cheese Fries (L) $15.95 One of the best burgers, I've had in a long time. The Pastrami Cheeseburger was excellent. The Pastrami was nice and tasty and of high quality. The thousand island dressing really complimented the burger quite well! The Chili Cheese Fries were kind of average. The portion size is good for the price you're paying. However, IMO the chili wasn't very good and there were beans in it. I'm not a huge fan of beans in Chili Cheese Fries. Our son ordered the Cheeseburger and he loved it! He was digging the fries as well! The wife scarfed down the Teriyaki Chicken. Her only complaint was that the chicken was on the dry side. She said the teriyaki sauce was outstanding. She asked me, if the family who ran Super burger was Asian. That's how I know she liked it! I don't recommend the Chili Cheese Fries here as the chili was nothing to write home about. I highly recommend that you order the Pastrami Cheeseburger and the Teriyaki Chicken. You won't be disappointed! I might have to try the Teriyaki Burger next time to see how they sauce pairs with a burger. The food was delicious; a return is certain.

This place deserves way more than 5 stars. If you haven't been or are thinking about trying this place it's a yes yes yes. This place is awesome, i absolutely love it. Their burgers are out of this world. They are big and juicy and saucy and fattening everything you would want in a burger. Their teriyaki burger is the best thing on the menu in my opinion. If you have a large appetite then one person would be able to finish it, but it is also shareable. The onion rings are also amazing. They are the kind that the whole onion doesn't come out when you bite into it. The perfect onion ring! Their fries are very good. This place is a little pricey but well worth it. They aren't open long hours and not open on Sunday. This is a great lunch spot. It's a little place, no inside seating but there are a few tables outside. This place is best for takeout.

Super Burger is where you go when you want a big, messy, home cooked Burger, but you dont want to cook it yourself. The burgers here hit every time. They give you enough fries to feed 2 people. Just don't forget to ask for pickles on your Burger, because they dont come with them!

Some time in the 2020's smashburgers took over Los Angeles. Thank god nobody told Super Burger, where the burgers are THICC. Old school beefy burger and crinkle cut fries perfection! When you go here, there will be no parking, there will be a battalion of firefighters in front of you in line, and the burgers will take a *long* time to cook (see the thing about them being "thick"). And it will absolutely be worth it.

I enjoyed a classic American cheese burger while I watched cars drive by on this busy intersection. The small fries were enough to feed a family so I took them to go.

A nice burger spot that has large portions. The teriyaki beef burger was an interesting fusion of flavors. The crinkle cut fries could be a bit more seasoned but it came with lots of fries. You order at the counter and the food comes out fast. There is a few tables for dining in and they have a decent selection of different types of burgers. Overall chill and casual ambiance.

I discovered Super Burger many many years ago, but I seldomly come here because the burger gives me heartburn and plus they close early at 3pm. They do have one of the best burgers though. When I do come here, I always get a cheeseburger with bacon. The burger patty is really thick and I love how I can taste the bacon in every bite. The burger is really filling and it is hard to finish one. It is also oily, which is probably why it taste so good. I just don't like that it gives me a horrible feeling after eating it. Customer service is good and quick.

I'm sorry but I don't understand these reviews. Hubs and I were looking for a good burger in town and saw this was #1. People working were polite and our burgers came out fairly quickly. We ordered cheeseburger combo. Note..... Way to may fries for one person, overcooked and full of grease. Burger was a decent size but nothing special about it. Lettuce was not fresh and had that preservative taste to it. How difficult is it to use a piece of fresh iceberg lettuce? Blah Burger and not inexpensive.

This is the burger of all burgers in my opinion. I did get bacon on it, but I get bacon on most burgers if it's available.

Pasadena is known for its great burger spots and there are definitely a lot to choose from but a must choose for every and all Berger lovers is Super Burger at the corner of Villa and Altadena In Pasadena. I'm going to get right to the burger because it's the star of the show. The burger is a hand packed half pound meat patty that's fried on a flat iron griddle to seared perfection. The burger is meaty and juicy. They do have a double burger, but I do not know anyone that could take that down. The buns are soft, fresh and a perfect complement to the burger. The traditional burger comes with lettuce, tomato, and island dressing. I typically skip the tomato and then I get real easy thousand island, ketchup, mustard, and pickles. Now for the french fries. They are frozen, but they are crinkle cut and they are super crunchy potato and delicious. Let's talk about ambience. There's only outdoor seating in the tables. Remind me of the old school tables at great America hard plastic with interesting colors. I absolutely love it. As far as the service goes it's a husband and wife typically sometimes their son is there. The husband and wife are absolutely adorable . When it's busy, they can be a little bit in the weeds and not that they're not friendly, but they're busy doing work and the pleasant trees are kept to a minimum but if you go there right after the rush, they're super sweet and always have a smile on their face. They do close early and they aren't open on weekends so be aware of that. The prices are probably some of the best around. You can get a burger fries and a drink for like $12-$15. And for the amount of food you get that's a great deal so, next time you're in Pasadena and you're looking for a burger do not skip Super Burger. Also, it is worth the Trip Just to go there for the burger.

Tonight we decided to switch things up a little, and hubby ordered the bacon cheeseburger. Normally we prefer the quarter-pound patty, but this one was slightly thicker, which definitely made us feel full a lot quicker. That said, the burger was still super juicy, had the right filling-to-meat ratio, and came on that perfectly soft bun that holds everything together without falling apart. Solid choice. I stuck with my usual chicken breast salad, and it was delicious as always. Fresh, satisfying, and dependable -- although I'll admit I'm still not a fan of bell peppers, so those got politely pushed to the side. One thing I have noticed over time is that the fries seem to be getting a little smaller in portion each visit. I also miss the thicker-cut fries from about six months ago -- those were my favorite. The current ones still do the job, but the old style definitely had my heart. Overall, this is still a definite must-try spot if you're craving a good burger. Consistent, satisfying, and always hits the spot. Happy eats!

Oof so much to say about the Pastrami breakfast burrito here…read more I stooped by Sunday morning to a decent breakfast crowd but my order was taken within 3 minutes of walking in. The cashier was nice but maybe she's new because she couldn't believe I wanted tater tots in my breakfast burrito instead of the homestyle potatoes. She asked me 4 times if that's what I wanted and then called a manager over to ask her too. It was just a super odd moment. The pastrami breakfast burrito is about $15 and it's a great size. Once I started digging in I immediately noticed issues. The pastrami was tough, fatty, stringy, and so overly salty. The tots were crispy but the first half of the burrito was just that - pastrami and tots. I actually got worried thinking they forgot the egg and cheese until I cut half way and realized all the egg and cheese was piled onto one end of the burrito. Why? How? Who taught these guys how to build a burrito? By then I had lost my appetite due to the pastrami but even so, there was hardly any egg and cheese compared to the pastrami. The green salsa too was bad. No flavor whatsoever all you get is the burning sensation from the peppers. I really think they just blended peppers and called it a salsa

This is a burger joint with a diverse menu, including one of the biggest breakfast burritos in town. I got my burrito with bacon. The burrito comes with hashbrown style potatoes, eggs and cheese - you get a choice of ham, bacon or sausage for your meat (or have it without meat). The bacon was crispy and remained crispy when I reheated my other half. Not only is the bacon crispy, the burrito has a generous amount of it! Oh and the other plus - the tortilla does not come wet and soggy and remains in perfect condition if you have leftovers. The burrito comes with only one salsa and to be honest, you really do need two for such a big burrito. I'm a green salsa girl but I asked what I should go with and I was recommended the red one (the green one is supposedly spicier). The red salsa did not disappoint other than I needed one more for my whole burrito (there's no kick to this salsa but it's tasty). The burrito itself isn't bursting with flavor on its own and it requires the salsa to compliment the other ingredients. But, who eats a breakfast burrito without salsa? There is ample parking in their parking lot and there's seating both inside and outside. I will definitely be returning to satisfy my breakfast burrito craving very soon and if this is what you're looking for - stop reading reviews and go get you one at Lucky Boy (it's served all day).

I always start off my ratings with cleanliness. I worked in a high volume restaurant back in the 70's. If you weren't doing something you were cleaning. Ordered the classic burger, fries and coke. Picked up my order after a short wait. Cleaned off my own table and sat down. Burger looked decent, fries looked amazing and can never say anything bad about a classic coke. First bite of the burger was a little disappointing. Burger was thin and seemed overcooked to me. I thought it was dry. Roll, lettuce, tomato, onion and mayo were ok. Not bad overall but for some reason I expected a better burger experience. Let's talk about the fries. Truly classic French fried potatoes. Perfectly cooked. Light golden color. Nice texture and flavor. What every French fry should look and taste like. Coke was great. Sorry to say I was not impressed by the burger. This was my experience on 05/09/2026. Could have been cleaner and maybe the burger not overcooked. Your experience may be totally different.
