Super 81 Liquor is hands-down one of the best neighborhood stores in Placentia. The owner is incredibly nice, always welcoming, and genuinely goes out of his way to help every customer who walks through the door. Whether you need a recommendation, help finding something specific, or just a friendly conversation, he always makes the experience better. The store is clean, well-stocked, and has great prices--but it's the owner's kindness and customer service that really set this place apart. I was back and forth on whether to write a review since it was really stupid of me to pay $34 for TWO IPA beers. But I have a speaking disability and I really wanted the beer and was in a hurry. Anyway I DID question the clerk, who said something suggesting IPAs were expensive. I asked him if the price was for a six pack and he replied "no." I decided to look it up on line to see if it was a specialty beer or something. It was not. Pricing was most likely for a 4-pack. New, inexperienced clerk? Both of us obviously lack common sense. Anyway, since I am here I will agree on the friendliness but disagree on the beer selection. They have some craft beers, but almost all are IPAs. I was lucky enough to find the only porter at $17 a can. For now, I probably won't go back. I have been before and the experience was satisfactory, but if I don't have common sense, at least the clerk should. read more

First and last time I'll go to this store. Cashed a 30$ ticket picked out some tickets in exchange not keeping track of amount yes my fault on that regard but did ask how much I had left to spend after picking some. So used up the rest of what wad told I had left. After going to my car realized it was 5$ short and thought this person isn't very honest even though it's only $5 if you do it to enough people it really could add up. read more

Super Liquor has proven itself to be the true meaning of great service. This is probably my favorite Liquor Store I've ever been to. The owner here is always so friendly and greets me with "How are you today beautiful?" (In a non-flirtatious way). They have basically every Liquor and Beer that you desire, and for a good price too! The new owners are very friendly and they treat you like family. They have owned it for about 2 months and you can already see a change in everything. They have a huge craft beer selection and continue to expand it every week. They also are going to have coffee, frozen snacks, and dairy products. No need for a grocery store and waiting in line! This place has been a go to for me. I'm a Euro lager guy, and they have some brands you won't find in the supermarket or other liquor stores (beers from Poland and Ukraine, some Samuel Smiths from Britain). They also have a fair amount of IPAs if you're an IPA guy. They changed owners in August. The old owner was a great guy and his dad was cool but the owner moved back to his old state. The new owner is just as cool-very friendly and shakes your hand. He cleaned up the place a lot. Staff are friendly and nice. I don't smoke cigarettes or play lotto but seem to be a lot of people who stop by for both. A good neighborhood liquor store with good selection and nice people. It's been around for many years. It has gone through probably 4 or 5 owners since I've been coming here and the last couple of owners have been good guys. read more
