We chose this restaurant after a long day of exhaustive walking & sightseeing and we are so pleased that we did. The service was prompt and the 2 servers were very welcoming. The meal was delicious as one of us had escargot and onion soup, while the other had the beef steak dish, one of the specials of the day. One of my escargot was unretrievable so they willfully credited that portion of the dish. We definitely recommend this restaurant for the small welcoming atmosphere, the service given, reasonably priced, and the flavors.

Upon arriving, I waited at the front for a few minutes before anybody even acknowledged me, once we sat down we waited another 10 minutes to even get a menu. They don't have enough menus, so we had to wait for the table next to us to finish with the menu before the waiter handed us their menus. Once we chose what we wanted, we waited another 5-10 minutes before we had to flag a waiter to take our order. We also didn't get any water/drinks for about half an hour after sitting down. The restaurant smells like sweat...and they do NOT give free water at all. The room is TOO loud, there's loud music, loud bar sounds and just overall loud general noises. Also the hostess wearing black yelled at multiple waiters a few times in front of guests so that was weird... Anyways, on to the food..... Portions are TOO small, ridiculously overpriced. The food didn't come out at the same time, one of six of us nearly finished her food before the rest of us got anything. The table besides us, had 5, and only 2 received their food and finished it completely before the other 3 received their food. We ordered 2 of the same plate, and only one came. Unfortunately for me I was the odd one out waiting another 14 minutes for my plate. The only positive, the food was actually good. It wasn't amazing, but it was good, except one of my kafta's was raw. They also offered us tea in the end to compensate for the awful service, just for them to never give it. Sure, the place is tiny and doesn't have any space to eat, but wow! The meat is the best I've tasted in a while. The owner is friendly and the portions are generous. Local street workers come to eat and there is often a line at noon (also worth noting it does not open at night). To save a few bucks, I usually order without a drink and go to the supermarket right next to get a can or bottle. Overall this place is great. If you are in the street, go check it out! You won't be dissapointed.

THE LETTUCE. I noticed this coming when I was watching him work on the sandwich: It looked like it needed something - mayo, raita, yogurt, I dunno - And I asked, what kind of sauce can you put on there? He's like, "I put on spicy sauce." Then, in retaliation for my very question, he put a huge glob of spicy sauce on it, then more salt. "There, more spicy sauce, and salt, I put on more salt for you!" As though I was questioning his artistic integrity... I think the biggest problem of visiting a kebab place at night when you're sober is that the employees think they can be dicks to you because "you're a drunk" - But when you're not, it's just clear they have no pride in their work.
