The papershop/newsagents is not the biggest, but sells much of the same as the others. It is the only papershop in the area, which is around catheral lanes and hertford street. They sell the usual sweets and chocolates. Nespapers and a small sleection of magazines. You wont find half of them here so you would need to go to whsmith for more specialist ones. Although they have a small selection of magazines it doesnt really do them much harm. They also have quite friendly staff too which is always a good thing in smaller shops like this one. As there are many larger shops to compete against. So a smile or chat does go a long way! They also sell ice cream , which as you can imagine sells in the hundreds in the summer. The shop also sells scale model cars too. One window is full of them. A great place to have a papershop at the top of the town where there are no others. 4 stars verdict on this great little shop.

It really is a one -stop shop and they have a huge range of magazines, including specialist ones that are difficult to find elsewhere, as well as newspapers, sweets, stationary and cards. This is also where the main post office is too - so expect big queues around peak times. I usually go around 3 or 4pm if I can, and find that the queues have pretty much disappeared by then. A really handy shop, with friendly, helpful staff. A huge asset to the town and a shop many of us cannot do without!

They also offer a home delivery service which is reliable and well run. The staff in the shop are friendly and helpful, as are the counter staff in the ever-busy post office. Access to the shop is good, if a little tight in places, access to the post office part can be difficult in a buggy/wheelchair due to the queueing barriers they have in place, but they at least can be moved if necessary.

Yhe shop is very narrow but very long too. Magazines are lined up and the left hand side taking over much of the entire wall, from floor to ceiling. These consist of magazines be it hair or gaming ones to fhm etc etc. They also have newspapers too as do all newsagents papershops. On the right hand sisde of the shop you find lots of sweets, these are usually bagged up and are great value for money. The shop also sells drinks to, these are also at a great price. Definately one not to miss. The till is at the back of the shop with friendly helpful staff, always seemingly happy. This is the only one in coventry unless the one in bell green, riley square still exsists which is a shame as this shop does a roaring trade due to their great prices.

It has a massive selection of magazines on every possible topic, from sport to current affairs, travel to DIY. There are also local and national newspapers, as well as local street plans and ordnance survey maps. You can also order newspapers and magazines delivered from here. The rest of the shop has a good range of reasonable priced groceries, essentials like toothbrushes, toilet paper, soap etc. In the past, this shop had an impressive range of books, stationery, cards and paper. This has reduced somewhat, to a smaller range of cards and stationery, but on the whole there is a good variety. The shop feels like it needs a little more stock for its floor space though.

This for two reasons - firstly the Woolworths across the street has closed down and secondly they have the towns main post office now full installed upstairs. Having lost their floor space to the P.O. they've condensed it all downstairs but it's still well set out. The magazine section is well stocked with the usual to the bizarre and they have an extensive book section. The only problem with that is that evrything retails at normal price where as you can get the same book for half the price at Asda. They have a back door so the shop tends to be a passageway to the car parks behind, which is something they probably encouage. The P.O. upstairs does exactly what it says on the tin.

If driving down ansty road from asda/crosspoint turn right at the lights. Fallons has been here fro many many years now and has not changed one bit! It has the sames layout and signs that have always been there, maybe just updated a little. Being such a large newsagents they have lots of stock. You can buy newspapers and magazines as well as sweets and chocolate. It is basically the same as all the other newsagents just in a different location. It is very near to a housing estate so makes sense really. Its owner is very nice, they will chat to you, and i assume locals must get on well with them as it always has people in there chatting away. Good sized for the area and must do a roaring trade!!

A pretty small WHSmith store in the Birmingham NEC, it is right next to the entrance to the…read moreconnected Birmingham International Station, so provides useful access to grab a snack/drink for your train, or if you're getting the Air-Rail Link into Birmingham Airport. They had a small selection of books, snacks and beverages, the prices are pretty high here, similar pricing to what you'd pay at Birmingham Airport but with a smaller selection. They do have a manned counter but this never seems to be in use, in favour of self-service machines, again this is one of the things which confuses me most about WHSmith as self-service machines isn't too good for the non-tech savvy elderly. 3* - Pretty good location for the NEC, Railway Station and Airport, but do plan ahead if you can to avoid this one.
