Its a big store for Kilmarnock but not one of boots main ones so product ranges are very limited.At christmas time only they have a make-up trial area but the rest of the year they dont have this facility. Owner's response was for me to take the time to send photos. Said problem could be the health of my natural nail, how heavy handed I am and how I care for my nails. Quite insulting really. She also said she expected some wear and tear in less than 48 hours. I'm not a nail technician but I was shocked at that. I believe the product was sub standard. I was asked to choose a display bottle in the window. Was it old or damaged by the sunlight? That's more likely. To rectify the issue I was offered 2 appointments during the day (they know I work so that wasn't possible). Next offered was 10.30 at night! I ask you! Final offer was a call at 8pm to go there and then. Again, unsuitable. I gave the varnish to a friend to try who also had it chip within 24 hours. I've been happy with the salon's services for years. Especially massages. So this is extremely disappointing. Owner called to say she acknowledged I chose not to use them again. There are plenty of other salons but she must be doing very well to not care about losing a loyal customer who's always given good reviews. Shockingly poor customer service.

You can buy medicines over the counter, cosmetics, toiletries and even attractive Christmas gifts in decorative packaging. One thing I hadn't seen before, when I called in yesterday, was the huge catalogue on a tall table near the counter (a bit like the ones in Argos) where you can browse through an enormous range of gifts and other products and order them, to be collected later. They also offer the service where you can have your own photos put on mugs, coasters, keyrings, etc, plus large canvas prints.

Had past experience when my mother in law from paisley (madge) would give it to my wife and i for xmas dinner proudly stating it was from marks and spencer and indeed it was a good pie but that was over twenty years ago.Now it has a pastry bottom and sides not counting the top. That must save on the steak but keeps the weight the same. Beef content twenty four percent, water and fat content seventy six percent. Very stodgy pie, i left about twenty percent of fat in the tray. How can that be described as a quality steak pie i will never know. Will make my own for new year. In comparison to the big stores in the town.m&s steak pie had the least amount of meat in the pie and at £4 per pie i feel i was ripped off.

It's all on one level so not a huge store but a reasonable size nevertheless. There's the usual good quality range of clothes for all the family and there are some great gifts there too. I like the cosmetics and toiletries (non tested on animals), especially the new coconut range which is surprisingly inexpensive (£2 for a bottle of moisuriser for example) so I have been stocking up lately! There's a great food hall at the back of the store and they sell flowers and newspapers there too. You'll find a small cafe tucked away behind the tills (easy to miss it altogether if you don't know it's there) but I find it disappointing as with the cafes at other M&S stores. The coffees and teas are pleasant enough but the seating area is basic and crammed together and there's not enough choice in snacks or meals.
