They always tell you how long you prescription will be before it is ready. They even go to the surgery and collect them if you have repeat medication. This option is really good as myself and my son use this option as sometimes you don't realise that you are running low on mess until it is nearly all gone. They have made a lot of changes to the shop and I must say they are all for the better. Keep up the good work.

However using this Pharmacy as a customer you will be treated with indifference. You frequently see staff chatting, pharmacists chatting whilst customers queue, you almost feel like a hindrance. Service takes to long. I have waited on many occasions whilst a staff member has finished serving the customer but will then continue chatting whilst customers wait. Very poor service. All of the staff need to go on a customer service training course. It's actually quicker for me to jump in my car and drive to Lloyds Pharmacy, where you are dealt with courteously and promptly

They would simply hand me back my prescription when I showed them the item but as soon as I came here, they assured me they would try to get the item but because it was out of stock they couldn't so they proceeded to contact my GP and request a change in medicine from a patch they couldn't get to a tablet they could and even recommended which one the doctor prescribes. I'm feeling more myself than ever since receiving it! Great service and speedy turnaround!

This is a nice Boots store, located inside Leeds' White Rose Shopping Centre. The store has the newer Boots branding, which I prefer. No Opticians here but there is a small area dedicated to Boots Hearingcare. If you're looking for a Boots Opticians, you'll either have to visit their branch in Leeds city centre or head to Morley which are both a reasonable distance away. I was particularly impressed by the selection of men's toiletries and oral products including toothpaste. Looking at the negative side of things, I do find it frustrating how they shut the Pharmacy at 7 pm, which is two hours before the main store shuts, and the selection of to-go food and drink in the fridge section is very disappointing, and is much reduced compared to their other stores. 3*

I phoned…read morethis pharmacy between 9am and 9.30am on Wednesday 12th November 2018 to check that a due prescription from the adjacent surgery had been passed over to them to be filled, and to make arrangements to collect it later that morning or failing that, when they reopened after lunch at 2pm. I was told by the young lady who took the call that they had received the prescription that morning, and would be starting to fill it right away so I could collect it as arranged. When I duly arrived around 11.20am, the prescription had not been done, and when I tried to explain what I had earlier been assured of on the phone and that I had a taxi waiting for me outside, I was subjected to a vicious verbal tirade from the owner of the business, Mr. T. Singh. He ranted at me asking me several times did I expect him to magic the prescription out of thin air. His whole manner throughout the incident was menacing and bullying. He also made made it clear he did not care about the taxi I had waiting. I insisted that I had an arrangement to collect my medication. He then went off to find the person who I spoke with. An individual who claimed to be the party with whom I had spoken on the phone was produced. She claimed I had only asked if the prescription was there. I knew that was a lie and told Singh that. This produced a further threatening tirade against me, insisting I apologise for what I had (truthfully) said, which I refused to do. He then refused to give me my prescription back so I could take it elsewhere. I should mention here that I am an elderly man, over seventy, with serious life-threatening heart problems for which I am highly medicated. I am also an insulin dependent diabetic with potentially life-threatening complications. Singh was fully aware of this obviously, but did not tone down his verbal assault in any way. He eventually grudgingly gave me back my prescription and I then left to explain the long delay to the taxi driver and ask him to take me to another pharmacy some distance away (substantially increasing my taxi fare). I intend never again to step into this man's pharmacy and would advise others to avoid it like the plague.

They had some good offers on toiletries and similar items if you're a student you can get 10% off here which works in addition to the offers they have around store. My biggest problem with this store is that it feels the lady who served me at the checkout was on commission, I bought three different products and for two of them, she tried to get me to sell a more expensive version, she also tried to sell me another random product, this was despite me stating "No thanks", "Please stop trying to upsell me" and "I only want these products" - she just didn't listen, I get asking once if I'm interested in any special offers but continuing relentlessly, I got a sense of arrogance and rudeness that she felt she knew what I wanted and needed to buy more than me. If you can get past the upsell at the checkout, the selection and overall feel is good and there is a small Beauty Bar area for the ladies. 3*

This all changed on Wednesday 19th February 2014 when I approached the till operated by the assistant Ruth to pay for an item. I told this assistant that I wished to pay for the item using my Boots points and that I also had a discount voucher that I would like to redeem at the same time. She informed me that I was not allowed to use the discount voucher at the same time as redeeming points, I accepting this explanation without any problem. At this point she appeared to assume that I no longer wished to redeem my Boots points and once again she gave me the price in cash. I reiterated that I wanted to pay for the item with my points. At this, she very abruptly replied "you did not make that clear to me" repeating this more than once. I politely pointed out that I believed that I had made my intentions clear from the outset; she repeatedly insisted that I hadn't. Her attitude towards me was such that I felt that I was being admonished in the presence of other customers behind me in the queue. Not wishing to engage further in an argument with her, I paid for my purchase and left. If there was a misunderstanding between us, it certainly was not on my part and I hoped for an apology from her but instead I received a scolding. I believe I am owed an apology from Ruth as I left Boots Chemist very upset and reprimanded. I am a very alert lady in my early seventies but I was left feeling that I no longer had my dignity.
