Shelf after shelf of beauty products and toiletries stretch from the floor to the ceiling, with everything crammed in so tightly that there's barely room for the aisles. What I like about this store is that if I can't buy something elsewhere, then I can pretty much guarantee that these guys will have it. I also love the fact that I don't recognise over 50% of the products. There are brands here that I've never heard of, and all sorts of stuff that I never even knew existed. This store in Bath has exceptionally smiley, friendly shop assistant who will listen attentively to find you the best suited products.

It's also a great place for cheap (but not necessarily bad quality) gifts for female friends and relatives - and they also do a range of greetings cards and gift wrap, so you won't even need to go anywhere else. The owner, Gail Anderson, is very pleasant, helpful and friendly and she has another shop in Llanelli (in Stepney Street). She sells accessories too, like combs and scarves. It's not the cheapest place to go but certainly the hair pieces/wigs are high quality. You can park in one of the adjoining residential streets as it's not easy to find a space outside the shop.

My family have been going to Luci Foreman for more then a year and Emilia was a great hairdresser…read more But over the last three-four months customer service became awful. Started from problems when they didn't worn us that we have to pay by cash because of the fault with card machine and asked for something to be left at their place while my husband went to get £10 for child haircut (and we've been using this salon for more then a year!). Then we came for a haircut another time and waited for 30 minutes and when I asked when my son will have his hair done a girl at reception who booked us in told us that we have to wait another 40 minutes. No apology what's so ever. She just said I didn't know .... But the last drop was a very bad habit from the salon that I booked our haircuts with Emilia (called in advanced, came to the place to make an appointment) many times and on a day when we came to the salon we were told that actually it was booked with someone else. They always find excuses for themselves (the best one -I didn't book you in it was someone else's mistake) , they have never called us to say that booking was changed. They just don't care. It's a shame as Emilia is a very good stylist but I just can't stand such disgusting attitude towards people.

I was seriously overcharged at the Luci Foreman salon in Taunton. And the quality of hairdressing…read morewas not good either. A list of prices was printed in the Taunton branch window and on a leaflet in the salon reception and it clearly stated 'cut and blowdry included in all colours'. Full head or colour / roots was advertised at £50 (not FROM £50). Despite these prices being advertised I was charged £100 for a colour, cut and blowdry. I complained politely whilst in the salon and later followed this up with a letter asking for a partial refund, but none was forthcoming. I was told that I was charged extra because my hair was done by a 'senior person' and because I was a 'walk in appointment'. The 'senior person', I found out later was Luci Foreman. She sloshed colour over all of my hair, even though I had only asked to have the roots done. This completely removed the lovely highlights I had done six weeks previously. Her colour consultation consisted of shouting across the salon 'd'you want ash blonde or yellow blonde?' And whilst she washed another ladies hair she had a long and loud argument on the phone with BT, with the phone clutched between chin and shoulder. The ladies of Somerset deserve better than this.

Like Amanda, I found the Korres sales staff to be really helpful, but equally happy to let you browse the extensive amount of makeup and other beauty products on offer. This shop always has a sale on too, giving you no excuse not to try a new lip gloss or body lotion. I prefer other brands to Korres, but it's definitely worth giving their products a try, especially when you can secure a bargain!
