I popped into Huddersfield Superdrug recently. I was aware when I walked in that there were hardly any customers in the store. I walked straight to the products I wanted & felt a presence behind me straight away. This person was watching me and making me feel totally uncomfortable. It was a staff member. Another staff member came & asked me if I was ok to which I replied yes as I was still browsing. She then left me to it. Fine.
The "presence" was still there & turned out to be Ellie the supervisor. She made me feel like a shop lifter and really uncomfortable. I decided to engage in conversation with her about the products. This eased my discomfort for a while until I asked randomly about another product. Ellie was obviously amused that I would want this product as she laughed at my enquiry. Not very professional AT ALL. The product wasn't even for me, but even if it had have been her LOL was not welcome. I decided I had been made uncomfortable enough...chose the product I wanted & went to pay. It was the other girl on the till who scanned the item. She then went on to charge me almost double the amount. I questioned this & she called Ellie to the till. Ellie then went to check the item (which was incorrectly priced) and came back to the till to tell me she could do me my item at the price on the shelf?? Very kind of you Ellie. You did me NO favours & I will shop elsewhere in future. I suggest you get yourself some training in customer services!! read more
