If you're a slave to Boots like I am and always spend a large amount of pennies on the fragrance, body and cosmetics they have to offer...steer clear! This store is one of the larger ones and has a huge choice of christmas gifts in at the moment. My bank manager will not be happy if I make one more trip there this week.... The only thing I didn't like was the lack of an Estee Lauder, YSL and Dior counter...Why boots?! Why?!?!?!

As soon as you enter you can feel the space of the store looming before you - it's pretty big. As such it holds a lot more stock than the average Boots chemist also - hair products, perfumes, make-up, body-care items, luncheon meal deals, perscription counter and more are all readily available and seemingly x10 on the smaller counterpart stores. Given that I've rather specific items of make-up that I like to use I nipped in on the hopes that this Boots would stock them, as the previous one had failed me. Happy days! There was my specific brand of concealer, in my extra fair shade! Thanks to the Boots I no longer need walk around looking like I've not slept in days, even if I feel that way. Awesomes. You know the nicest bit, too? The lady who served me was so friendly and nice, even though she had clearly worked all day with nary a customer in sight. How lovely! A very handy, very uber Boots.

It didn't help Bodycare and The Body Shop look very similar either. Bodycare is a large shop in The Manchester Arndale centre with great selection, they have a good variety of pain killers, shampoo, soap and lots of other things. The staff seemed polite and for a first time visitor of Bodycare I left happy as they did have a wide range of products for great value. If you are looking for Body products in the Manchester Arndale, I would recommended this large, cheap shop which is located next to WHSmith and near to Thorntons and EE. I have visited this shop a few times now and I have also found a good range of soap products here. UPDATE: After some consideration, including that the queuing system can often leave customers waiting slightly longer, and the design of the store, appearing to get as many products as they can, rather than spacing them out and making it into a modern, cool store, really lowers my opinion of this store, hence I feel a 3 star rating is more deserved.

The Lloyds pharmacy at Whalley does have a wide range of products in store including small toys,…read moreperfumes, everyday medicines and vitamins, make up and cosmetics. It is conveniently located beside the local GP / Health centre, offers a prescription service for those needing regular repeats, and has a private room for consultations and checkups. Staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable about medicines and minor illnesses / injuries. It lets itself down by not having sufficient amounts of prescription medicines in stock; with staff often asking customers to return later in the day or the following one. It causes further inconvenience by remaining closed due to the qualified pharmacist not being available, which happens quite often. Sometimes, there are three or four people outside the front door at 8.30am waiting to collect medicines promised the previous day but pharmacy assistants cannot open up or handover owed items unless and until the pharmacist arrives. Not sure whether this is problem exclusively to the Whalley store but it is certainly a problem and causes a lot of inconvenience to people using its services. Even more so considering that some will have had to pay £1.00 for parking on the Whalley Arms care park!!

This is a really useful Boots location, located inside Leeds Station, although obviously smaller…read morethan their Leeds Trinity branch, the store is very useful in its' location, and the opening hours are also excellent, as a midnight pharmacy, it is open until 12 am, meaning you are able to pick up prescribed medications well into the night. The store appeared to be fairly presentable, it appears to have had a slight refurb to fit into the refurbished part of Leeds Station very well. Prices were a little high on the to-go food and drink, selection and pricing is better at other outlets inside the station including WHSmith and Sainsbury's. The staff seemed friendly enough. 4* - The store is good, mainly for convenience and the midnight pharmacy.

I've called in here twice now and I've had so many different results in terms of obtaining samples. Firstly, I came in to ask if there was any samples and the staff member seemed nice and probably gave me about 6 or 7 from good brands too such as Sauvage by Dior, Hugo Boss and Jean Paul Gaultier. Secondly, I came in and did the same a week later with a new member of staff and was only given two, one was an opened Hugo Boss Intense and the other was just a standard one. The member of staff seemed a little disinterested on that occasion. Comparing to other Perfume Shop's I have visited, this is typical and is still much better than The Fragrance Shop, who I have had bad experiences with in Liverpool and just a few stores down also in the Manchester Arndale. The store inside is okay, it is pretty much average for any store of its sort and does seem to have a good stock of the main brands, of course it is quite hard to browse without asking a member of staff as near enough everything is behind their till, which is different to the Bradford branch who mainly use this method with some on the back wall too. This store is okay and it is just basically average, average, average, yet I feel only deserves a high two star rating because of immense competition and it should be doing more in a city centre with so many other places to go to win customers such as other branches of TPS, The Fragrance Shop, Boots, House of Fraser, Selfridges, Debenhams - The list goes on so you can get my point!

A huge Boots store in Leeds city centre, with multiple entrances through either Trinity Leeds or…read moreAlbion Street, in many ways this store reminds me of a slightly smaller version of Boots on Market Street, due to the many ways to get in and out of the store, and the store being pretty big and over multiple stores. The store really does stand out on Albion Street but for good reasons, the modern glass store and it is quite vibrant especially compared to the poorly maintained old building (possibly Grade listing), which is home to Starbucks across the way. The "Food and drink" section has a decent selection, but it is pretty weird having small drinks fridge outside of the main, signposted section, and with it being split into 4 corners (a square of fridges), the selection was typical of Boots but again wasn't as broad as other larger branches, such as Manchester Market Street. Facilities in the store did seem pretty decent, including an Opticians and Chemist. Decent Boots store overall, pretty much average to what one would expect to serve a large city, it doesn't tend to go above and beyond compared to both other branches of Boots, similar rivals and my expectations, however. 3*

I would highly recommend this branch because the staff are very helpful and the prices are excellent too. There is free street parking nearby. They sell a fab range of moisturisers, and most are reasonably priced. This store is nice and open, although is always quite quiet recently, im not sure if people are going off the body shop there are so many other places to buy your cosmetics now!
