I also have to hand it to BJ who did the installations. We spread this project over 3 orders a couple weeks apart to take time figuring out what we needed. Each time, BJ was thorough, thoughtful, and fast. We have black windows throughout the house, which is new for us and made design selections a little trickier, but the results are outstanding. Wil and team went above and beyond to get the colors exactly right and ensure everything was measured and designed to spec for each window. There are way more decisions to make than you realize, so having someone knowledgeable to walk us through the options made all the difference. The results speak for themselves. I wish the photos did them justice! They're even better in person. We went with white 2-inch faux wood blinds (they look awesome with the black windows!), sheer black solar roller shades, and extra-large wood plantation shutters custom painted to match the window trim. The remote only allows for each shade to be operated individually. Want to open all 8? Ok, press channel 1, wait for blind 1 to topen. Press channel 2, wait for blind 2 to open... Outdoor blind fell down immediately after install. Shade has hold down brackets to keep it in place. A different installer comes back and tells me the blind isn't supposed to be down in more than 5mph winds. Help me understand why you install hold down brackets then? In 0-5mph wind do you need them? And if the blind is down and the wind picks up it gets ripped off the side of the house? So frustrating! My other motorized shade wasn't ordered properly so that one still has not been installed.

While doing my extensive research, I came across Castleberry Shutters. Apart from getting quotes from really big home improvement stores, I thought I will atleast get a quote from them. I met with Tim Castleberry and immediately within 15 minutes of meeting, talking to him and seeing the samples he showed to us, I knew I will be in right hands by working with them. These guys have been in business for really long time and they are local Atlanta company and manufacture their own shutters. I felt that they really cared about the quality since they were not typical third party resellers and since it was their family own business, they offered the best value for money. The best part is - Tim not only offered me an excellent price but also told me that they offer lifetime warranty which means anything happens to any of the shutters they will fix / replace it for free. I felt thats really huge. With leap of faith, I ordered shutters for my entire home and requested him to deliver on time within few days of my closing. My initial apprehension to hire a non branded big company for fairly large investment on this part of home upgrade soon turned into one of my best decisions so far I made while building my new home. Summary: Elrod's ordered a part for a blind, but then lost…read moreother parts, making the blind useless. They will not respond to my calls. Detail: We have a Comfortex blind that was mis-made at the factory. The hole drilled in the metal casing for one internal string was off-center, causing the string to shred. Elrod's ordered a replacement string, which we would install. When Elrod's returned the blind they did not return the parts that the string wound around. We had removed these to show where the off-center hole was. The blind is useless without these parts. When I can reach Lee on the phone he says he needs to check with Casey. If I reach Casey she says she needs to check with Lee. This has been going on for over two years. Most of the time I'm unable to reach them by phone. They do not return messages. When I do reach them, they fail to call back with answers as promised. Very frustrating, and unprofessional.

They did faux…read morewood blinds for 2 windows in the bedroom and 3 tall panels in the living area, one of which is a door. Jayson came right on time to do the measurements and quote me a price. He said it would be up to 10 working days before the blinds would be ready and that Shawn (sp?) would call when they were ready and set up a time to install them. Shawn called about a week later and set up an appointment for a couple of days later. He also showed up right on time and installed the blinds without a hitch. He even made perfect adjustments to insure the blinds on the door would not interfere with the handle. Overall I am extremely pleased with the service and professionalism of the company. I also thought the cost was reasonable. And both Jayson and Shawn are very personable, honest, and fun to work with. They did a great job and I highly recommend them.
