Its a tiny lil local spot, think of it as a mini-grocery store/market for vegan/bio/gluten free…read moretype shtuff. This place is overpriced, bien sur, due to the product they sell (-1 star for that).
The variety and quantity of product in this tiny lil place is amazing, the type of product is quality for sure, I'm just not one of those people that prefers to pay more for "organic". If u are, then you'll love this place and I highly recommend checking it out because it's friendly and sweet and likely right up your alley. But, if you're like me (fine with shopping at grocery store chains like iga and superC), then there's really no reason to go outta ur way for this.
Parking in the area was relatively easy to find. And free, since we parked on a side street around the corner.
Service was beautiful! Came here for a Restomania Passport outing w my bf on a cold December morning. They did not have the iced drinks (indicated on passport) available so offered us coffee instead, which we happily accepted. The guy at the counter was not affiliated with, however was a friend of, the lady who owns the store. He helps her cover the cash when she needs to go do errands for the store. He felt so bad for not having the right passport drink he kept feeding us chocolate. These lil bars of vegan dark chocolate, I couldn't believe they were vegan they were so delcious! And went quite nicely with the coffee which was actually a decent cup of coffee (not worth driving from LaSalle for, but decent). They did have coffee cream and other non-vegan products about, but it's not the focus here.
I noticed pastas, canned sauces etc, spices, herbs, fresh veg and fruits, cereals, grains, honeys and other spreads, bio wines etc etc etc. Y'know usual market offerings.
So overall: if you're a modern day hippie-type (I say that with admiration, not disdain), or someone with food allergies, this place is for you! If not, definitely not worth a 30 minute+ trip to check out, that's for sure.
