Unfortunately, the experience with the staff at the Via Gian Giacomo Mora location was disappointing. The two young shop assistants came across as dismissive and noticeably unprofessional during the purchase process, creating an uncomfortable and unwelcoming atmosphere rather than a customer-oriented experience. It's a shame, because the store itself has so much charm and character and deserves a level of service that reflects the quality of the space.

Depending on what you have and what your expectations are, it can be a great experience to change up your wardrobe "on the cheap" and "recycle" clothes without being wasteful. I heard about Bivio sometime ago, learning that the founder is from the US and conceptualized Bivio to mimic the stores I mentioned earlier in Milan. Customers are able to book buying appointments in advance (for Autumn/Winter this year, they opened up slots end of August, and they got booked immediately...). I wanted to see how the experience compared to stores back in the states, so I made appointments here and at the Via Lambro spot... This location had a men's store separate from the women's store, which made it hard to find at first. Once I got to the women's store, I saw that the entire store was flooded with thick winter coats...things that would make me sweat even in the dead of winter! I also did not have success with selling. There was a man who sorted through my stuff, and I felt like I was being judged for my clothes, even though I had a unique, funky collection of American brands. Even some A&F jeans (which apparently should be in because Y2K is considered vintage now??). I found it comical that the jeans I brought in were "troppo skinny". I realize the trend with the European girls now is "potato sack chic" (oversized sweaters with baggy mom jeans), but as a millenial, skinny jeans will always be in style! For me, I'll pass on Bivio, and take advantage of thrifting in the States.
