Awful customer service. I will never buy anything from this store again. The store manager, Chris, was rude and unprofessional. We ordered a keg from the Huntington store for our Oktoberfest party and it unfortunately did not work properly, not sure if the tap or the keg itself was to blame. Chris blamed us, even though a number of people at our party tried various approaches to get the keg to dispense beer throughout the night, and a few of us also tried again the next day before returning it. Mostly sputtering foam came out, so we ended up having to return a keg that was more than half full, which was disappointing and expensive, considering we paid full price for a keg we barely used and had to supplement with additional bottles and cans. When I notified Chris of this he gave me an attitude and said he would check the keg and get back to me with an update, but he didn't do so. I called him to follow up so we could close the loop, but he kept putting me off and then dodged my calls. I'm pretty sure he answered the phone and pretended to be someone else one of the times I called to find out what the status was too. Ridiculous. Mistakes happen. I thought maybe he could give me a credit or a discount on a future purchase since our keg purchase was mostly useless, but I didn't count on that. I wasn't sure what he would offer to do, if anything. I did at least expect him to address the situation with me, a paying customer, instead of ignoring and avoiding me. We've hosted this party for the past 9 years and we've never had an issue with kegs we got from other vendors. I've also bought beer at this Huntington store and their Melville location many times in the past. There are plenty of distributors with good beer selections, though, so I'll be patronizing them in the future. Superstar has lost this customer for good. read more

Stopped in this place today on my way to get lunch. I'm a sucker for a good beer distibuter and I'll stop any chance I have to see what micro or craft beers are being stocked. I was probably in this place for 5mins before I was greeted by the manager. Guy was super friendly and very chill. No attitude,no beer snob vibe, very cool. Picked out a nice IPA from South Hampton brewery. They were open on Thanksgiving until about 5pm. Extremely good beer selection and you can mix-a-six for almost anything in store. They have everything. Even hard to score beers from brewery's like Evil Twin. I love browsing their isles and making those tough decisions. They are usually pretty stocked up. Every so often they will be sold out of an item. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Prices are on point. read more

I'd like to think of this as Superstar Beverage's flagship location (though that honor may go to North Babylon, though I haven't visited there). Lots of great choices every time I've come here. They typically have a couple more excellent choices on draft compared with the Oyster Bay location. I also believe they have more taps. Another neat thing they have at this one is 16 and 32 oz. growlers for which they'll charge quarter or half the full growler price, respectively. I think more places should sell 16 oz. growler's. I don't want to take a chance on a beer with a mixed reputation only to find I don't like it, then have to deal with another 48 oz.! read more

Great beer shop. Lots of variety, and the seasonal brews tend to stick around for some time. The people here are also very friendly and helpful, and they're happy to give recommendations when you want them. The only caveat about this place is that their stuff (even non-seasonal) isn't always the freshest. For some brews, it really doesn't matter, but definitely check the date if you're getting something like an IPA. read more

Supaaastaaaa (Molly Shannon anyone?) Anywho, Superstar has a great selection of brews and lots of promo's, so you can taste what's new before dropping $10 on a pint that tastes like pine tar (check their website for the schedule). There are plenty of workers around to help you with any questions you have or to help bring large orders to your car. Last time I went, I walked out with a growler of Brooklyn Gold (they have 6 rotating brews on tap that you can take home in growlers) and drank no less than 4 cups of Brooklyn Local 1 and 2 (there was a tasting that day). Free. Beer. Awesome. The only reason there isn't a 5th star is bc Superstar has your typical 'warehouse' feel to it and I have seen some bomb beverage centers with a larger selection and with nicer interiors. All in all, I think this is def one of the best beer stores in the area if your a craft nut like myself, you should stop by to see what's new on a regular basis. read more
