Not sure why I never reviewed this place. We have been coming here for years, since the kids were so little. I remember so many iterations of this place. I remember when it was just a carry-out place before the built up the restaurant on the side, when we would just eat pizza out of a box on the sidewalk. On this day, we eat at their restaurant, and it is always so good. I have been craving a salad, and their rucola salad was so refreshing and delicious. I have been seeing people eat a kale Caesar salad, while this is not exactly like it, it seems close and such a good balance with the rich pizza. I got a limoncello drink, and an Aperol spritz, both nice a refreshing. The spritz was not the best I have had, but still worth trying. The limoncello drink was really good, definitely get this one. We also tried the red ale, very nice and drinkable. We had two pizzas. One was a red sauce cheese pizza with spinach, and the other was a white pizza, the Marguerita, with roasted garlic. The crust is so good, so thin. This place was on Food Network for a reason ( I remember so long ago seeing this place featured on TV). It is such a classic place. Oh my gosh. This place is on a ton of Detroit lists for great pizza and after checking it out, I can see why! The slices are thin so it isn't typical Detroit style but thin crust is my jam so that was good by me :) A friend and I went to the Eastern Market location and got a couple of single slices for lunch. They were ready pretty quickly and there is ample seating inside as well as a few tables outside. Everyone we encountered was friendly. We got a slice of their basic cheese pizza as well as the special that day - a white pie with roasted turnips, turnip pesto, Kalamata olives, and whipped chèvre. Both were excellent! Totally different of course but the sauce and cheese on the traditional were great and I will be dreaming of that special for quite some time. Such a unique blend of ingredients and they all worked so well...that pesto and chèvre especially - yum! Definitely some of the best pizza I have had. This place was not busy as it was 11:30am on a Tuesday so we were seated right away. The server took our beverage order while we looked over the menu. The restaurant, by the way was clean as were the restrooms. The Bloody Marys were tasty. We ordered a Bismarck, Funghi, and pepperoni pizza. All three pizzas were delicious. They have parmigiana cheese and red pepper flakes if you like them on your pizza. This pizza parlor is definitely in my top three places to get pizza from. My second time there with my girlfriend and both times have been good. The quality of the food is very good. Made to order food. My gf and i split a pizza and a side of warm olives. Our bill was $32. Our waiter Andy i believe was his name was very good as well. Little hole in the wall feel restaurants like this are always hit or miss, this place is a hit. My gf and i decided to take away one star for very small reasons. Our water was served room temp, not chilled and no ice. Supino Pizzeria was very busy when we went! When we got our pizza, we realized why. The pizza was a 10/10. It was an interesting combination for a pizza, but it hit all the marks for me! The dough was delish, sauce was saucy, the roasted garlic added so much flavor, cheese was great, chicken was well flavored, and I never say no to banana peppers. It was pretty crowded with not too much space. There were long wait times to get a table, and their notification system was odd. It was telling us we were 5th in line and had a 9 day wait. We were in line to order the pizza for takeout and asked for a table to eat it. They did not inform us until after all of our waiting, and the table was ready, that it was not allowed to do that. The staff did get a bit rude about that. We were visiting from out of town, and have never had issues with eating food in store, even if it was ordered to go. It was a bit of a shock. The staff also were talking about it with each other, scoffing, and SO shocked that we would think that it would be ok to eat there. For the service not being a great experience, I'm not giving 5 stars. I wish I could, since the pizza was so good! read more

Supino's is a great logo pizza shop. Their dough is pretty thin, and their flavors are impactful. They usually have a weekly special that is fun to dive into, but it really is classic Italian combinations. The space is new and renovated, especially after the unfortunate fire that happened a couple years ago. The service is super quick and they're insanely nice and helpful. I love pizza and after hanging out with a friend for a few hours we'd worked up an appetite and decided to come here to this Supino's location for a quick fun meal. I've been to their other location (I think in the New Center area??) but that was last summer. I enjoyed my experience and figured why the heck not! It's located within Eastern Market and rather easy to find. While it's not a huge place it's still a good place to eat at as long as you don't have 9 million people with you. the staff here was super young and even though it was a Friday, we were able to get seated immediately. I imagine if we ate here when Eastern market was open there would be a line for sure. The menu isn't huge, but has enough selection to get you were you need to go. We went with a Caesar Salad to split which was $14! It was huge though, more than enough for the both of us. They brought water out in a wine bottle which made me laugh hysterically. Anyway, we ordered the 12 inch pepperoni pizza since my friend doesn't do spicy stuff and I don't eat a few items served on the other menu items. It's thin crust (New York style??) so we polished that off in no time. I think they serve booze here but we weren't looking for booze so we passed. Overall a good meal and foods consistent and good. I would return in the area, but I can't remember if they do single slices or not. I guess I'd have to ask in the future. Even though Eastern Market had options this place called our name. They definitely know how to do east coast style pizza. My first bite always is the top crust and it was perfectly crunchy. My brother and I were indecisive because everything sounded great. We asked if we could do half and half and loved that they accommodated. The small pizza was a perfect amount for two of us. I appreciated that it was laid back and comfortable with an upscale vibe. I definitely will note that the service was superb. Server dropped off a bottle of water and a couple of menus and politely gave us some time to look things over. We decide on the marinated olives and SAN GENNARO pizza. It has roasted red peppers, onions, red sauce, and house made sausage. Server comes back to apologize about not having any marinated olives. ???? ok. "Would we like to try a salad instead"? We opt for the house salad. Salad shows up and it is huge. Much too much for 2 peeps. But we eat it all cause it has the dressing on it and will not last long. And it was pretty delish too. Pizza comes out and it looks pretty tasty. Ingredients blend well together. But it was just ok. Not enough sausage. Not enough sauce. And not enough crisp on the crust. After all the positive press about this pies from this place I was disappointed. Service was fine. Loved the interior. It was nice looking at some of the skyline. But I have had better pizza. Sorry. Walked around the Eastern Market looking at shops and street art and stumbled on this pizza place for a nice lunch! We were immediately seated and our server was super kind and patient with us taking some time to pick our order. For a drink my boyfriend ordered beer and I ordered the moscato! Both enjoyed our drinks! We were drawn to ordering the Bismarck pizza because we saw online they had an egg on it. Love eggs and wanted to try it out! Ordered our pizza without the ham on half and they obliged. Delicious! Almost wish there were more eggs haha! The yolk was jammy and not making a mess and just so delicious with the cheesy pizza.
