This is one of a handful of SNE branch locations throughout the state. Although it shares a large parking lot with other businesses, somehow, parking always seems to be problematic here. For some reason, this branch seems to have more staff turnover than other locations, with the exception of one long-timer (Bob). Despite these minor shortcomings, SNE/Peacedale is the only option for plumbing and heating supplies in South Kingstown, since Damon's Hardware closed. The only other options are driving north to Home Depot in North Kingstown, or driving a considerable distance south, to Westerly, which has at least three plumbing supply companies. I used to visit this branch more often, when I worked in South County, but it had been about two or three years since I last stopped here. I didn't recognize any of the employees (except Bob), and their bathroom got a much-needed remodel. Honestly, I was not impressed with the new counterman who waited on me; he seemed more interested in talking to other customers (including one who came in after me), than taking my order and getting me out the door quickly, so I could get back to work.
