I've been a fan of discount tires for a while and I'm often reminded why I use them…read more The drive through air is awesome for Phoenicians who find their tires constantly needing a little top off and not being able to find a single air station that works or has the gauge on it. This time it was a new problem for me. After buying a used car a few months ago, the tire light came on. I quickly realized that this wasn't going to be easy as the tires were some type of inside mount-the stem is actually on the back of the rim. To top it off, there was a metal cover on the stem that had seized up and wouldn't come off. I was ready to have the tire removed and a new stem or tire out on. Thankfully and happily the manager came out, tried to get it off and ended up coming back with some spray and pliers. He got it off, had the team add air and sent me on my way. It's so rare to have service like this where you don't feel like you're getting scammed. Of course I'll get the next set of tires here when they wear out soon. Now, if discount tire only replaced windshields too, they'd take over the world!

Holy moly, what a DAY. Let me start by saying I recently unlocked a new adult achievement: changed…read moremy own tire. Yes, that's right. Somewhere along the timeline of my life I apparently decided tires were part of the "men handle that" starter pack, but destiny (and a flat) had other plans. Bravo me. Gold star. Character development complete. After successfully installing my donut like the slightly greased-up, road-battle warrior I was, I rolled into my new local tire sanctuary. Now, understand something, I am a lifelong, ride-or-die fan of Discount. I've been going there for roughly 41 minus 16 years (math is hard, flats are harder). So finding a new "home location" was emotionally significant. I pull in looking like I just wrestled my car on the side of the road (because I absolutely did), and before I can even mentally prepare to interact with civilization, a gentleman comes out to greet me. Sir, you did not have to be that kind to someone who looked like she'd been lightly basted in axle grease, but I appreciate you. They checked my tires and gently broke the news that my tread was basically living on hopes, dreams, and good vibes. I drive what can only be described as a micro machine, which of course means I also have tiny tires, because why make life easy? They didn't have them in stock (totally fair), but somehow still got me safely up and running like absolute magicians. Now, the bonus comedy feature: I drive a manual transmission. Watching the team politely determine who among them possessed the ancient and mystical knowledge of "stick shift operation" was peak entertainment. One brave hero emerged, the same gent who greeted me, successfully piloted my tiny chaos-mobile, and I salute you, Sir Knight of the Clutch. Service was fast, smooth, and honestly impressive. About an hour later, I was back on the road with new tires and restored faith in humanity. I'm genuinely thrilled to have found my new go-to location because I WILL be back soon (I still need two more matching tires, symmetry matters, they tell me). Five stars. Impeccable service. Friendly humans. Tire wizardry. 10/10 would highly recommend, especially if you arrive looking like you just fought your vehicle in a parking lot and won.

I stupidly caused a silver dollar sized burn hole in my backseat, where the seat meets the back, so…read morehalf of the burnt out circle was on the seat and the other half on the back. Took it to top shop, where I was told I'd have to source the fabric myself (their supplier) and bring it back, after which it'd be $200 to repair the burnt hole. I didn't bother to ask how long it'd take. Read more reviews here and came upon Magic Upholstery. Not a lot of reviews, but all five stars. Reading further, I decided to take another reviewer's advice and not let the location nor store front sway me. Indeed, the shop is located back from the street, so you have to look for it, but where you think 3401 is, IS exactly where it should be. The gentleman looked at my problem, said he'd simply use the extra fabric that already existed in both areas, and sew a new seam line on both areas. Said it'd take 2 hours for a cost of $90. On the appointment day, I left my car, walked to McD's, walked back 1.5 hours later, expecting to wait another 30 min. Instead, he was working on another vehicle because he'd already finished mine. The result? A perfect job. You'd never know there was a hole in that spot just an hour an a half later. He did a FANTASTIC job, in less time that he quoted for a 1/3 the cost had I gone mid-town for this service. I can't recommend Magic Upholstery enough. GREAT WORK at a FAIR PRICE!

I do not recommend Magic Restorations Upholstery. The owner,…read moreTony VanDyke, picked up my bed in September stating it would be completed in approximately three weeks. The project extended nearly six months, with repeated delays and changing explanations (illness, family matters, lack of material, new equipment, hiring help, etc.). Completion dates were repeatedly promised and missed. Throughout the process, I consistently and clearly requested that the bed be restored exactly as originally designed. Despite my precise written instructions and reference photos, he made design changes based on what he said he "liked better," rather than following my directions. Although he removed some altered elements after I objected, a border he decided to add -- and that I specifically instructed him to remove -- was still on the bed at delivery. The bed was also returned damaged and not properly reupholstered. Materials were ordered without my consultation months into the project. When I requested progress photos and a firm completion date, I was told: "I will not give you a firm date," and that other customers had been waiting longer. On February 21, after continued delays, I requested return of the bed. In writing, he stated he would drop it off, not charge a delivery fee, and "eat the remaining balance." On March 1, the bed was left in my driveway without direct confirmation or doorbell notification (despite security cameras). A bill for the remaining balance was then sent, despite the prior written statement waiving it. In his final text message, he wrote: "You owe me nothing, like I told you. I'm tired dealing with you. Don't text me anymore."
