I really like the charming farmhouse-chic ambience here. It's a great place to take a book and just relax. Yes, the line can get long, but the baristas are quick and skilled. I really enjoyed the cinnamon "cretzel" (think pretzel dough in croissant shape). Street parking isn't terribly hard to come by and the prices are good. I had the brown sugar latte and found it nicely balanced (just the right sweet to bitter, and coffee to milk ratio) and delicious. read more

I'm not a coffee connoisseur, but WOW this is a great spot. Stopped here Saturday morning during Woosterfest. Pumpkin Latte was delicious. Also the had pretzel cinnamon Croissants. They had a special name for them that I forgot. Let just call them FABULOUS. The mixture of lightly salted pretzel with cinnamon roll taste. What a great combination. The place was very busy but they are efficient. Will come back for sure. read more

THEY MAKE LIFE CHANGING "CRETZELS" PEOPLE. Do I need to tell you there are a dozen different coffee beans to choose from or that you can get a drip, pour over or french press? Well, you can and that is delicious and made me happy but a combination of a soft pretzel and a croissant with either chocolate, cinnamon, everything bagel seasoning or rosemary... I just can't explain how good these were. We took one of each home and I will dream of them in my Salt Lake City home until I can find a baker that understands just what a revelation these things were. Sure House is a great spot for studying, meeting a friend (or date), or just hanging out-- well-illuminated and cozy with a nice mixture of the historic building's architectural elements plus a well-designed setup inside. They offer pastries (5 stars, not sure where they come from) and sell beans they roast themselves (not my vibe and a little expensive but doable). read more

Everything at Sure House is delicious! I personally love their nitro coffee and my favorite flavor to add to any drink is the maple syrup. The cretzels are yummy! I enjoy the cinnamon ones the best but the chocolate ones are a close second. Cute, quaint little coffee shop with the best little window seat. read more

Sure House is a big city independent coffee house in our very own town. It's got plenty of seating and is a great venue for working, catching up with friends, or just sipping some excellent coffee to get your day started. Their coffee is superb. It's available in any different preparations, including pour over and french press. Their roasts are diverse and all are delicious But enough beating around the bush. Get the cretzel. Half pretzel, half croissant, 100% decadent. This is the true reason to visit Sure House. It doesn't matter if you get chocolate or cinnamon... Just make sure you get one. Sure House would be a great coffee house no matter which city it called home. Fortunate for us, it's in Wooster!!! read more

Stopped in for a Coffee on my way out of town after doing some business. I like the feel of the coffee shop. However when I went to the counter the women was not wearing a mask! The person who was standing over the uncovered pastries told me she did not need one for medical reasons! She did not even have a face shield on!!!! I walked out!!! She should not be serving food at all!!!!!!!!!!!! It is disgusting that she is working in a food establishment! What if she asymptomatic & does a cough, just as she pours a coffee!. read more

Oh dear lord... You know you're in the right place when you see that they have FOUR permanent pour-over stations at the counter AND a hot water dispenser. The barista took my order, set up the ceramic coffee filter with the paper filter - and poured hot water through it to clear it! - measured out my coffee, ground it on the spot and then doted over it while it brewed, pouring little streams of water in the grounds to keep them stirred. The result? HEAVENLY coffee. Don't slow down. Proceed with all haste. Coffee nirvana awaits. read more

This is my go to coffee shop in town. There's a variety of reasons for that. First of all the coffee is amazing. All of their flavored syrups are homemade, except for the maple syrup. They are very accommodating to you altering your drink order. The staff is just amazing and friendly. The dinning room is a great place to work or just spend time with a friend. Parking would probably be the only thing that might be tricky if you come at a busy time. read more

This modernly decorated coffee shop is tucked away in Wooster. We stopped in for some lattes and a light snack. While this shop is limited on food options, cretzles (croissant/ pretzel dough hybrid) are available for snacking.The cretzles have a traditional croissant shape but surprise you with a denser dough that has a pretzel bread taste. It's definitely worth a try if you can snag one. The lattes are pretty staple here. They have added flavors that are all natural (maple) or made from scratch (caramel), which is hard to find at your average coffee shop. The atmosphere is warm, modern, and inviting. There is a large table for a big group, smaller tables, and a bar area with stools in the seating area. The barista that was working was super friendly and knowledgeable. When we first entered did not like the smell. Just can't describe it. Almost left. I ordered a iced mocha and it was one of the worst i have had. I threw it away. My girlfriend ordered a iced coffee and she asked for creamer but didn't get it. Had to ask again. Coffee was so bitter she threw that away too. Found a better coffee in liberty street market place. read more

This place is a coffee lover's dream. Visiting my family from out of state, I thought Sbux was all Wooster had to offer. I thought wrong. Nitro coffee is perfection. The chocolate they use in their mochas in cocoa-like, rich and heavy and not overly sweet. The cafe itself is beautiful and comfortable. It'd make a nice date spot or alone time to write or read or people watch. I can't wait to return. Lastly...The staff is kind and fun. That counts for a lot these days. read more

My new favorite coffee place in town. Their pastry was the best mix of chrispy and fluffy i have had anywhere in town. Their coffee is excellent and the atmosphere is great. Barista also sugested an actual coffee by name when i asked what a specific combination of certain amounts of espresso and cream would be as a test. The major coffee chain employees cant do that. She passed with flying colors. All the local coffee places are great for their own reasons, but this is my kind of place; small, quiet, organic, fair trade, and natural textures. Lovely. read more

If you are a coffee addict and enjoy high-quality coffee, this is the only place in Wooster to go. I love the pour overs and that permits you to choose your beans. The atmosphere and design are minimalistic and relaxing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is the limited hours they're open. They are also beard friendly. read more

Totally kewl place brewing up some really good coffee! The coffee shop is rustic, casual, warm and inviting. Sure House sells very beautiful and unique handmade clay coffee cups and Hario V60 dripper made by a local arts. The baristas are super nice, friendly, engaging, and make a fabulous cup of coffee. Their cretzel is a must! I ordered the chocolate filled cretzel and was in heaven. I also ordered a pourover of one their coffees--a Guatemalan. It was clean, smooth, rich, full bodied. If I was a local I would surely visit often. read more

I'm so glad that my husband I I found this place during a recent road trip. We had asked around about the best coffee house for breakfast and the majority answer was Sure House. We were told to try a couple different types of coffee and to get a cretzel (which was heaven) I got a pour over with the Rwanda roast, and my husband had the Papua New Guinea roast. They were both delicious. We brought home a bag of the Papua New Guinea and the next time we need coffee, I think we'll definitely be ordering more from here! read more

If you're looking for a place with great and unique coffee, amazing customer service, & a friendly atmosphere...come here. My wife ordered a Pour Over and I order a Nitro Coffee; both incredible (...and we didn't even add anything to them). Wooster, Ohio seems to be an interesting small town with lots of small places to visit if your either traveling by and/or passing through. The baristas are friendly and quick, and the quality of the drinks and bakery items are excellent! You can't beat a cinnamon sugar cretzel paired with a chai tea latte. My wife got the banana cream cold brew and she liked it. The cold foam was super thick and a little artificial tasting, but good enough. We've heard nothing but good things, so willing to give it a second try, but this visit was not it.

You find so much the same, seemingly caught in time, and other things have greatly changed. Goldberry is one of those "new to me" additions to Ashland, and every time I walk through its doors, I find myself grateful that it is a part of this town's growth and change. Brightly lit, warmly modern, with touches of wood, crisp white, and greenery, the shop holds ample space to gather together with friends or sit comfortably by oneself, sipping an espresso, cortado, or dirty chai with almond milk (my personal choice today) while people-watching or reading a book. Tall windows line the front of the building, looking out upon a bustling parking lot and side-street as multiple baristas efficiently work away behind the bar. Fresh donuts were being sold at a stand as I entered, along with bagged beans and a variety of other bottled/canned beverages. People sat outside, in groups around larger tables, or in more relaxed leather chairs, animatedly caught up in conversation. Goldberry feels like a true 'third place' in Ashland - not your home, not your workplace, but that third place where you go to meet friends, begin your day, or center yourself before stepping out into the world. It's fittingly named in that light, given that Goldberry is the warmly welcoming, hospitable, and wise woman in JRR Tolkien's work who offers comfort and guidance to questing hobbits, the beautiful and mysterious 'river-woman's daughter' who married the enigmatic Tom Bombadil, a man whose magic was older than time. This coffee shop is all of those things: welcoming, warm, bright, and more than a little magical, glowing like a water-washed jewel - or fairly-sourced coffee bean - in the midst of this ever-changing tiny mid-Ohio town.
