I am a seasoned mtbr, qualified bike mechanic and occasional roadie snd I will be hiring mtbs when I take my family to El Med' later this summer. The organised rides loook great and I hope to do at least one of them. It is good to see a really professional organisation like bike point.

I recently did a three day course (3 days @ 3 hours per day) at Red Rock and didn't really get on…read moreso well. It wasn't my first time and I had a little experience of flying the kite but overall didn't progress much after three days. Day one - the lesson was just focused on flying the kite on the beach - as expected - but the three hour lesson ended up being only 2 and a half hours. Day two - was more kite flying on the beach - no progression to the water which I would have expected - and again was cut short to just two hours. Day three - I had a lot of expectations for day three but it was the worst day. I ended up being a joint lesson with another person and in total I got out to the water just twice. Probably about 45 minutes of lesson in total for that day. Overall I didn't have a great time with the instructor. The instructions were not clear and it wasn't explained well how to navigate the kite and the waves and the direction of travel. You were sort of expected to figure this out on your own - but the issue is the instructor yelled at you when you made a mistake - which of course didn't help much. There was a language issue but given I can't speak Spanish - this was down to me expecting good English from a Spanish speaker. It just wasn't working at that point so after talking to other guests at my hotel I switched to a different school.

Wind flow was more like a sea breeze, therefore we opted for windsurf (as suggested by the owners). The instructor was professional and helpful, I got great insights and tricks from him! I would suggest to come here to get your lessons @ El Medano!
