We had a great experience here. We stayed two nights and wish we had stayed longer. The view is definitely the best part but everything was great. There is a cute little store with things you may need. It is a bit pricey but it's to be expected. You can go to the beach across from it or there are some beaches that are a little more kid friendly not more than ten minutes away that they had recommended. They also had live music on the Friday night we were there.

What a beautiful spot to camp! The premium sites are on a bluff overlooking the beach/Ocean. Gorgeous views of the Pacific and a front row seat for sunsets nightly. We pulled in on a Tuesday and departed on a Tuesday. The park was never filled to capacity (recent fires and mid Feb). The camp/RV sites were well maintained. Plenty of parking for your vehicle and a picnic table is at each site. The bathrooms were clean. The trash bins plenty and emptied often. There is a picnic common area. The Camp hosted an acoustic musician one night and a DJ/Photo-booth/ food another. Only suggestion here is to turn in the outside lighting. Cute little store with some of the essentials you may have forgotten. Everyone was super chill and helpful. Easy walk down to the beach. There is some construction going on PCH-so go to the light and cross over there. Easy hike down the trail to Malibu Seafood as well.

Great place with the perfect location with ocean views. Well maintained clean, safe and peaceful. Convenient to many restaurants and supermarkets.

They don't even have security or anyone to call. At one point I had 3 surrounding neighbors playing loud music till 2am. Another huge issue at this campground is that LA County allows the homeless to camp right on the beach where most families would set up their umbrellas and beach chairs. That was my ultimate concern as it can be a huge hazard. Nothing or no one is protecting innocent families from being poked by a needle left behind. At one point a young man who was clearly intoxicated on some sort of substance walked up to me as I was sitting at my campsite and asked me for a bottle of water or soda. I figured water would quench his thirst so I gave him water and something to eat and he then stumbled away. Minutes later my friend text me that the young man was passed out just feet from her RV door. Her husband talked to the park and they told him to call PD if he bothered them. Let's be honest..the cops aren't going to do anything about it so my friend had to deal with him herself. She offered him water and snacks then asked him kindly to move elsewhere as he was lying at the entrance to the beach from her and her neighbors site. He did but he then moved over to the public restrooms and passed out again. Yeah...no thanks. Definitely not a fan of this place at all. Take a ride on the bike lane that runs behind the campground and you'll pass numerous encampments on the sand. LA County needs to do better and the park needs to fight for the the safety of the paid patrons that are staying at their park.

Sue and Eva run a clean and well-maintained place and they always have time for a smile and kind word. The park has strict rules but it serves to keep the place safe and visually appealing. Since it's in the San Fernando Valley it's busy but located in a very safe and convenient part of town. The spaces are well worth the price, you can walk to the mall and many other restaurants and shops. This is an urban park with very few drive-through spaces but the spaces are plenty wide enough to fit a large rig and park 2 cars. They have showers, a coin laundry, and lots of trees around the park. The guests have always been friendly and considering it's in the middle of LA, it's pretty quiet at night. They have a really comfy & well-appointed common room for meetings, watching tv, checking email, or just playing pool and their swimming pool is crystal clear. Highly recommended!

Because of this, the price feels a bit on the steep side, especially given the outdated bathrooms and showers. The pool was absolutely freezing too much to enjoy. One thing that really stood out as a bit of an eyesore (and honestly quite off-putting) was the overflowing dumpster. I discovered there's only one tiny bin for all the campers, and during our stay, it got so bad that it looked like people were chucking their bags of trash into the recycling bin. On the plus side, the people were friendly, and the groundskeeper was fantastic. He even took my trash bag and got rid of it for me so I didn't have to go anywhere near the mess. I noticed he was always on the go, making sure everything around the campsite was clean apart from the trash area which had really no hope. All in all, this is a place I'd consider as a stopover to break up my journey, but I wouldn't make it the main destination nor an extended stay. We've experienced better amenities for this price at other private sites.

This was our first time camping in a park like this, we've only done some dry camping in the desert prior. I didn't know what to expect but was incredibly happy with everything. Booking online was easy peasy. Checking in was just as easy. Checkout was even easier as we didn't have to do anything besides pack up and go. Now our stay, we were a little worried on the size of the site as we had friends joining us with a second vehicle. Upon arrival we were ecstatic to see that our trailer, tow vehicle, and friends car all fit into our space and still gave us plenty of room to hangout. They had amenities like a bathroom/shower/pool, little market etc. We didn't have time for a dip in the pool but it looked well kept and nice. Our friends used the bathrooms and said they were standard campground showers. I didn't feel they were super necessary as the site has full hookups so I took a nice hot shower in our travel trailer. But hey, they're there if you need! The WiFi wasn't great, but it worked okay. If having high speed internet is important to you when traveling, get a hot spot on your phone or one of those spaceX satellite things. Anyway, we had a great experience, no issues at all. We already booked a site for next year as did a few of our friends!

Here, you will stay in a trailer (possibly an Airstream or something like an Airstream) and you are probably a 10 minute walk to the beach. Beat that. If you have ever stayed in a trailer, you know it's tight quarters. But you get your own kitchen and bathroom and it's a heckuva lot more fun than a bland, stale hotel room. The site has firepits. Even better, they give you complimentary s'more kits with all the fixings. They have BBQs for grilling. They give you cookies and yogurt in the morning. They even give you oranges so you can squeeze your own orange juice. I don't drink orange juice normally but the juice here was outstanding. They have books and games available for borrowing. They have hammocks and swings and picnic tables. They have bikes for free rental. They have freshly-baked cookies that are delicious. There is apple cider and hot chocolate. There are a lot of amenities here which you simply will not find at most hotels. The train runs right by here and it's loud and shocking at first but it doesn't come by that often and you get used to it. Inside the trailer, aside from the train, the grounds are extremely quiet. This is a fun place and something different. The location is great and you get a lot of value for your money.
