Beware of this company. I called Davis mid April and asked if we could meet to discuss a master…read morebath remodel. I received a call back the next morning from Penny who was able to meet with me the very same day. I liked Penny immediately who was full of great ideas, and even made a visit to the tile store to look at options the very same day. Wow! How impressive...so I thought. My Green Lake home is our second home and we do not live here full time. A couple weeks passed until our next meeting. Penny took me to their custom cabinetry company in Oshkosh to select a cabinet style etc. Also an exceptional company and experience. Penny and Rachel made a couple visites to my home to measure and plan a few more cabinets we decided to include in our home remodel. Very lovely cabinetry drawings/designs were emailed to me through Penny from Rachel. Things were really coming together nicely. Penny thought they could get to our remodel in August or shortly after. That was fine with us. I reached out to Penny yesterday to inform her that I was going to be at our lake house for 3 weeks if she had any time to meet and go over a few questions I had. Later that day I received a text from Penny stating that due to recent rainy conditions, they were backed up and could no longer take on any additional work. I was in total shock with this news, needless to say, very disappointed. I was really looking forward to doing business with Davis Custom Builders. I found it hard to believe that after working with me for 2 1/2 months on our remodel project, that now they decide they no longer can accept us as a client. I asked to be pushed back until until winter or spring of 2018 but was told by Penny they were booked. What kind of reputable contractor does this to people?? Apparently Davis Custom Build in Ripon Wisconsin does.
