Tried Surfers Point Cafe for the first time and it completely blew us away. The food was incredible- every dish tasted fresh, intentional, and high quality. You can genuinely taste the difference in the ingredients, which is rare to find these days. The beer my boyfriend had was crisp, and refreshing. It ended up pairing perfectly with his meal. Hands down, this is one of the best Italian sandwiches we've ever had- and that's saying a lot considering we've actually been to Italy. Everything felt authentic but still elevated. What really stood out, though, was the service. The staff was not only friendly, but truly knowledgeable. They made great recommendations and you could tell they take pride in both the food and the overall experience. In a time where good customer service can be hit or miss, this place really stands out. Been here a few times and the breakfast burrito is a go-to but recently changed it up with the breakfast sammy bagel. It was neatly prepared and perfect for splitting with the bf...the perfect bite with a cold brew. We ordered a little after 730am and it came out quickly and served to our table. Update: Seems like there is new ownership and some changes have taken place. The decor surfboards outside are removed. The small bar area has been changed into a kitchen prep space and new teak tables and chairs are in the indoor dining space. I did try their breakfast burrito- it's much more American 'gringo' style compared to breakfast burritos from local tacquerias. Surfers' burritos have eggs, cheese, and hash brown patty, and meat or avo choice; no beans or rice. Slightly blander tasting for me, but still satisfying. Usually the few times I have come, the atmosphere seems quieter and low key. I find it a relaxing space due to not being over-crowded. You can really enjoy coffees and conversations with friend. Weekends may draw larger crowds. Note- their listed prices are cash prices, so you do get 4% discount, and of course the 4% charge if you use credit card. read more

I am a big fan of breakfast burritos and order it any time of day whenever it's available, and I will say the breakfast burrito here is one of the best around. The Italian sandwich was also excellent, gourmet with arugula, giardiniera and a yummy dressing elevating the sammy to a new level. I have lived in Ventura for 25 plus years. I have stopped by SPC a few times in the past but was not impressed so did not go back. The cafe has new owners. Matt greets everyone who visits helping to create a warm welcoming atmosphere. We ordered the Italian sub today and split it for an early lunch. It was plenty for the two of us. It was delicious. Bread had a nice chew to it. Meats and cheese were high quality and well seasoned. Matt added a spicy giardiniera to the sandwich which added a good crunch to the mix.
