Acting like she couldn't hear. I went here 9 times exactly before they finally discovered I had pancreatitis... and then another 5 times. Before discovering my gallbladder had a tear in it. Went into surgery, my arms became swollen and th r y told me my arms were like that when I came in.. the hospital bands were cutting into my skin, yeah I don't think so! After surgery, I got pancreatitis again, They tried to put me into the cat scan, and told me the metal clips would probably heat up, I refused to go in the machine, the tech then referred me as a little bitch to his co worker. Recently I went to the hospital for the Same pains, did the cat scan, I had an allergic reaction, as my bod u filled with horrible itchy lumps, I sat for 15 minutes begging for something, finally a nurse heard me crying to my husband on the phone, she gave me a steroid and an allergic medicine. The itchy lumps went away and a nurse came in and ave me a morphine drip that wasn't for me, but the woman in the next room, I was livid!!

I was impressed by his professionalism and his actual interest in my complaint. An absolute GREAT experience. He has had me in The Surgical Hospital at Southwoods on three separate occasions. I was in for two sets of biopsies and once for insertion of "SpaceOar" for protection during radiation. This hospital, as far as I'm concerned, has always gone above and beyond what should be required for ALL hospitals. The doctors, nurses, orderlies and every other person always goes out of their way to be certain your experience will the best that they can give you. I would recommend this to anyone for whatever ails you. Too bad I can only give 5 stars because it is wsorth so mjuch more.

I am deeply grateful for the care and precision that went into my procedure. I also want to recognize the entire surgical staff in the room that day. While I may not know every name, I know I was in the hands of a highly coordinated and dedicated team that ensured my safety and success. Recovery was the most challenging part, especially when it came to pain control--but this is where this hospital truly showed its strength. The recovery team worked hard to get my pain under control. They did not give up on me, and that matters more than anything. Pain after surgery is real, and having a team that continues to adjust, respond, and care makes all the difference. This place is the most TERRIBLE hospital EVER!!!! My Mom had a major surgery and they wanted to…read moresend her home with low oxygen levels (dipping into the low to mid 80s) then they got her put on oxygen and her final day in the hospital, she was completely ignored, no one would come to her aide when she used the call button and completely ignored her all day long. They eventually turned her call button completely off no one could call for help. When she was out of surgery, she sat in recovery for over 7 hours and they wouldn't let us see her! She was the first patient in for surgery and the very last to leave at night to go upstairs. They wouldn't even let us back to tell her we were still there and just check in on her! I've never heard of a hospital doing this. They claimed she was sleeping the entire time which we found out later to not be true. When she was sent home, they timed the oxygen delivery so it was dropped off BEFORE she got home and no one would come to show her how to use it. (She's never been on oxygen at home before) We had to scramble and call around to people we knew that have used oxygen for help. Thank God we had a family friend that knew how to use it! They also don't know what a CLEAR diet means. Who gives a patient tomato soup when they're on a CLEAR diet??? The nurses are all pretty much incompetent and useless! She wasn't even given her prescription meds when she was in the hospital! I am glad I no longer live in Youngstown as I would refuse such horrible treatment from the rude, ignorant, incompetent staff at this sad excuse of a hospital! Stay away from this hospital at all costs! They're absolutely horrible and have zero bed side manners!

Let's face it having to have health tests done is never fun and most of them never want to have them done but they are one of those "adulting" things we are supposed to do for ourselves. Soooo last week I went to get a mammogram! Wooohooo! I say this because it's really NOT fun. It is slightly uncomfortable - no it's downright uncomfortable! But I had the best tech doing my testing. I feel like a jerk for not asking her name but she and the whole team there were fantastic. She explained the test, explained that because of some of the way my (clears throat) body chooses to react to being pulled and prodded into certain Positions I got to do extra "photos" YaY me! Ha ha ha It was all over in less than 20 minutes. I can honestly say although it may be uncomfortable it was not torture and everyone was so awesome that I felt really taken care of! Don't be scared to get these things done! The staff knows you're nervous and they really are here to help! Thanks ladies!

My grandson was bullied, threatened, and assaulted. The communication is limited between parents and professionals, parents and children and apparently children and the professionals. My grandson told me for days that besides for medication he didn't feel the staff was doing anything to help him work through any issues he was having. I was then lied to by the nurse who spoke with me about the assault. First off she was referring to it as an "incident ", which it was not. Then she insisted a nurse had tried to get in touch with me at the time of the assault, (2:15) which was not true. At the time of the assault there was staff members present but nothing was done. My grandson complained of ear pain and was told a nurse would come to check him out but no one did until later after I made my complaint. I removed my grandson from their care for fear of further assaults. Later that evening I found a message had been left about the "incident " but it wasn't until I had made my complaint (7:58) about the assault.

And no, my little guy's nose isn't broken but it sure looks like it is. This is an urgent care/ambulatory kind of place. If it something too serious for them, they would send you to a local full service hospital by ambulance if you so choose. Great alternative should you need emergency care that does not require a full service hospital. I will not go to any other urgent care place except for this one based on my two experiences.
