Things to be aware of as they will cost you yet more money are the requirement to have wedding insurance, the fact that they insist you have to use their in house DJ, and that you have to use one of their approved caterers, none of which come cheap either. That said, the caterers were of a high standard and overall it is a good venue.

The owners do require you to have cancelation insurance for obvious reasons. We had a jukebox because that was what my daughter wanted. Nobody suggested we would have to have a house DJ. The owners displayed an attitude best expressed as 'tell us what you want and we will do our best to supply it'. This attitude was reflected in the service provided by all of the staff.

The horses they used at the wedding were just beautiful and you could see they were loved and very well cared for. The carriage was just gorgeous exactly like the pictures on their website - it really was gleaming. Weddings: I have seen Lisa's be-autiful work many times, so there was never any question that she'd be in charge of my wedding flowers. She is a pleasure to work with, and this is why: - She is more organised than I could ever be...so she helped guide me and gave awesome suggestions (with the help of pinterest) - I had a vague idea of what I thought'd look pretty, but she took my ideas and improved them until my wedding venue looked amaaazing. Her flowers made the dusty old barn (wedding venue) look fresh, and smell lovely. - My bouquet (and my bridesmaid bouquets) were sooo gorgeous! - She even made a flower chandelier(!) - She loves vintage pots and glasses so her flower arrangements don't look formal or boring. I loved that! - She gets the most beautiful flowers! Seriously my light blue delphiniums and peachy pink roses were perfect. Also, she managed all this why also being a bridesmaid. This lady is a multitasking queen! Flower workshops: Recently Miss Victoria's Floral Emporium has moved to a new studio in East Dulwich, and I was lucky enough to attend one of her first floral crown making workshops. It was such a giggle! I got to make friends with a lovely group of ladies over tea and cake, and then Lisa showed us all how to make beautiful headdresses. Our workshop yesterday was a special (free) trial, but I think this would be SUCH a cool thing to do on a hen party, or a birthday...or just for fun if you have creative, flower-loving friends.
