Was charged an extortionate amount for a car battery that after just 6 months completely packed in…read more Found out via two other mechanics from large and well-known companies that the battery Neil sold was not brand new and had in fact been fitted a few times before. Called Neil to complain and he got very defensive, rude and hung up on me. After calling back on a withheld number he then answered and said that he would collect the battery for investigation, though is now ignoring my calls again. The battery is yet to be collected and to be refunded. I dread to think of how many other people (particularly women) he rips off. If I do not hear back from Neil I will take this matter further and not hesitate to take him to court. (Side note: I will be more than happy to remove/edit this review once Neil rightly offers me a refund).

Upon meeting Danny and his apprentice, I was immediately impressed. The apprentice used the Jack to get the tyre off and proceeded to fix the tyre by getting the nail out and then using a solution on the tyre. After this, he put the tyre on and returned my tyre lock to me, where I looked at the result and was amazed it was done in five minutes. I paid a reasonable price and even gave a tip for speedy service and would definitely recommend anyone to visit Danny at St. Rule Street Autos for any work. Thank you, guys. Jason

Honest mechanics. Enough said…read more Couple of minor pieces of work were done at no charge, despite me having dropped the car off for a few hours enabling them to lie about the amount of work done. Highly recommended. Will be going here again, and the proximity to my office makes this a sure winner. I have a colleague that may concur after sending his car there for a service.

An advised of £80 cost to diagnose a power steering fault turned into a bill of over £200 without…read morefurther notification - I since discovered a main dealer would charge £69 for complete diagnosis! It took them a week to actually diagnose the fault (and then couldn't actually give an absolutely definite answer to the problem). In addition they handed the car back to me with the outside air temperature gauge/readout malfunctioning and the battery on the vehicle failed three weeks later. The battery failing could possibly be a coincidence but given all other aspects of my experience with MOT City I would strongly advise potential customers to avoid this garage.
