Order flowers for my GF five days before valentine days. They state on there website that if you'd like same day delivery to order one day before. Not only could they not deliver between the time I gave them which was 430 PM when the office closed they couldn't reply to an email or pick up there phone. I went online to find the perfect flowers for my daughters birthday to give her a smile after a very tough year. I ordered the flowers 10 days ahead of time. What was shown in the picture is not anywhere near what she got. I wanted beautiful and she got an ugly mess. And I think they were forgotten and when I called late in the afternoon to find out why they weren't there they got thrown together. I found out about them from Yelp in desperation to send flowers for Eid (end of Ramadan celebration). They were great to not refuse deliveries one hour before they closed (another flower shop did)! I was able to choose flowers from their website and the representative gave me useful suggestions on which flowers would be best for the occasion. The flowers' recipients were very pleased to see the flowers on their doorsteps (they weren't home) with a card (business card-sized) that contained the greeting and my name (which was spelled correctly). The flowers were arranged beautifully, in a red vase. The colours varied from red, yellow and orange (Fiery orange roses, spray roses and gerberas plus red carnations and huckleberry, are arranged in an exclusive orange cube vase. - from their website), as customized by the representative since I apparently chose really dark colours for the season. Terrible!! As a single female, I ordered a bouquet for myself on Valentine's Day as a treat. I placed the order over the phone and opted to pick it up in person to save the $15 delivery charge, given the shop is located less than 10 minutes from my house. Was informed I would not be able to pick it up until 6pm, which was inconvenient to have to pick up so late since the day is close to over at that point, but I agreed. I showed up 10 minutes past 6pm to arrive to an understandably long line up. By the time it was my turn, the ladies could not locate my bouquet, only to eventually find that it had not been made and blamed whomever had taken my order over the phone. If that wasn't bad enough, now they were telling me that they would not be able to create my exact order since they were running low on several flowers because it was the end of the day. As well as having to wait at least another 15 minutes while they scramble around to put it together! At this point I said to forget it since an overpriced Valentines Day bouquet really wasn't worth all that. They did not even apologize for messing up my day. After a misunderstanding about what my mother had pre-paid and pre-ordered, we found ourselves without flowers for her burial THE NIGHT BEFORE. The Surrey Flower Shop is very close to our cemetery so I took a chance and ordered a large arrangement at 2:00 in the morning, needed at the cemetery by 1:15 that afternoon. After placing the order on-line, I called their 800 number and let them know that if they couldn't complete the order on such short notice, I would cancel it and buy something in person. When we arrived at the cemetery at 1:00, the arrangement was already there. Not only did they have it to the cemetery well before the appointed time, but the arrangement was larger and fuller than expected and included gladiolas - Mom's favourite flower, which the 1-800 rep wasn't sure they could provide on such short notice. The caring staff at The Surrey Flower Shop went out of their way to get gladiolas for us and to ensure the arrangement was gorgeous and delivered on time. We are especially grateful to them after a mix-up with a different florist left us without flowers for Mom's memorial a few months ago. I was really disappointed when I received a photo from the recipient of my gift. I had deliberately chosen Zen Artistry as the description and image depicted a minimalist arrangement but all I could see in the photo was lots of flowers. If I had wanted lots of flowers then I would have ordered a bouquet!! Therefore, in my opinion, the photo on the web site does not accurately reflect the product delivered. I ordered flowers from here over the phone and the lady who answered was helpful enough to me. I'm pretty flower stupid but she assured me they will make a very nice arrangement. I did look online and saw what it should look like, but I never got to see the final arrangement before it was delivered the next day. I went to their website and ordered an arrangement delivered to my cousin who lives in the Surrey area. I was so disappointed when a picture was sent to me, I ordered a $72 long stemmed pink rose and upgraded it to the next level thinking it will be better, much fuller and ordered with #3 happy birthday balloons. It came with #2 balloons and a mediocre arrangement, it does not even have much green to keep the stems from falling to the sides. The blooms looks like it was 3 days old, some arrangement you will not think that it's over $100 dollars worth, I was so disappointed. Sorry this place is not worth recommending to others. read more

It's my two year anniversary with my girlfriend (She's in Vancouver and I'm in Chicago) so I thought I'd deliver flowers to her doorstep before she went to work. True, the prices were pretty high but I figured it was worth it from the other reviews. The flowers were good quality and were creative too! Only problem is, they delivered them a month early. I specified the date, and that it was supposed to be surprise but my girlfriend still got a call from a truck driver mid-afternoon telling her that the flowers were waiting for her. I also specially requested, and paid extra, for the flowers to be delivered at 7am so that she would get them just before she left for work, but instead they were delivered on the wrong day at 3pm. The staff were helpful and apologized afterwards, but delivering on the 6th instead of the 27th isn't really a small mistake. I definitely won't be using their shop again. read more

The blooms as well were almost spent as upon receipt, they took a picture - arrangement looks half dead. I received an orchid as a gift and it was nice, but it soon lost over half of its flowers. This should happen between two and three months, not in two weeks. When I phoned Surrey Flower shop I was made to feel that it must have been something I did. I love orchids and in spite of having hundreds over the years this has never happened before - there is almost nothing one can do to cause this within such a short period of time - even if there had been given absolutely no water unless it was bone dry when received, which it wasn't. They agreed to replace it rather begrudgingly, which would have satisfied me completely, however they brought one about half the size and in a colour I do not like. This was nothing like the one I first received. May as well not have bothered, what a waste of time sending a driver with a plant that in no way resembles the original gift. Will never use them and have instructed the person who gave me the orchid what happened. read more
